I have the 3.7v hercules. Is there a performance difference between the sr-71 and the 3.7v herc when using flowers? Do I need to upgrade?
Also, would greatly appreciate any thoughts / suggestions on accessories for the Persei for flowers. I'm debating between getting a nibbler for my herc, the sr-71 + nibbler xl or the Bender.
Cheers!

With the 7.4v herc v1, you would always have to be careful with the button to not combust the herb. With the 3.7v herc, i think you eliminate the chance of combustion. Im sure with the sr-71 you'll still have to watch out for combustion, but i hear that the heating is more even and that with oil, the herb doesnt get overcooked as easily.
Not many have had the chance to compare the new sr-71 to the bender, but when compared to the v1, the bender was said to be the better one for herbs pretty much everytime.
Luckily, G sent Ataxian, a herb vaping enthusiast, a sr-71, and i have no doubt he's made these sorts of comparisons. i expect he'll chime in soon enough.

It's a damn terrible day for me guys. Left my persei and cart in the car after my lunch break and come back and a bunch of my oil had just started oozing through the bottom of the cart. Guess the heat wasn't too good for it. Ordered 2 more carts and decided to fill up one of the 5ohm carts so I could have something to use when i go to atlanta. Check the cart out , tests great, get it primed, and what the fuck do you know that one or both of my 18350 was dead on arrival. I never tested it because I didnt care on account of I didnt imagine i'd be using the 5's. They charged up fine but my cart doesnt get warm or anything.

Everything EVERYTHING hates me today.

Bummer. Are you sure the original cart is no good? Lots of us have had leakers we can live with. Once cooled off they often seal well enough to use with little issues. I'd clean up the outside with ISO then use a wire or needle to gently probe down the flue. Pull it out and wipe it off, insert carefully again. Keep repeating until it comes out clean. Then gently do the same with the vent tube up the bottom end. It's smaller and the heater is much closer, so be careful.

Once it's clean and clear give it another try. I've had carts that needed this clean up several times but have recovered eventually. My take is the oil isn't well purged and builds pressure up inside the tank. With fairly solid oil blocking the top of the tank. Eventually pressure builds high enough to force the oil past the seals (it's of course thinner due to the same heat). Once the oil in the furnace and flue is removed, if you can vape it out faster than it leaks in without overheating it you're still golden. If you have to reclaim the cart you'll lose .2 grams or so so IMO it's worth trying to save the cart.

Good luck.

Vaping is a way of life!
They are ultrafire batteries. I tried them last night & although they worked, found they didn't work as efficiently as the battery sent with the Persei - maybe I was medicated but felt like they took longer to produce vapor.
Thanks for the recommendations. I have heard good things about the panasonics. Now gotta find them.
yup, thats exactly what I experienced with my old trustfires, all my mods, vapes and high power flashlights all use high end batteries and I would never go back!!!
Iam glad you got it sorted out!!!
They do take longer to produce vapor and getting units up to temp, they probably work better for e-cigs but even my ecigs got a boost from the better batteries!!!

Vape on!!!

@friedbanana8 & @Rastclutt
Everything friedbanana8 is correct, I just wanted to add that the SR-71(only) will be a 7.4v device but you can buy a 3.7v heating rod and swap it out & put a 3.7v battery and now you got 3.7v dedicated herb vape!!..........Then switch back the 7.4v heating (ceramic) rod and your back at doing oils or oils and herb!!!!

Hope this helps!!!

We all know my love for CANNABIS GODS CREATION!

The BENDER is awesome and I will use mine this afternoon.
The new HERCULES SR71 that "G" set me up with is very powerful!
VERY POWERFUL!
I got so medicated I had to stop for a couple of days to re-group.
Haven't tried straight flower yet.
Maybe I'll sprinkle a little wax on some Flower and vape away.
Next week I will get some full melt hash for the SR71.
The BENDER is a luxury product.
Not for your average Joe.
No offense intended.
I love it and very glad I can keep BENDER LOADED!

I love FLOWERS.
I love CONCENTRATES.

This is my conflict!

So I do both and stay happy!

Yeah man, this happened yesterday. I cleaned it out and wiped it up as best as possible an was able to continue vaping with it but after it sat over night there was a glob of oil covering the bottom again and starting to seep out of the side holes near the threads. I haven't tossed the cart yet though I have flipped it and heated it and gotten all but around .1 out of it. I guess I'll just sit it somewhere and see what happens over the next few days.

Was also able to get my remaining 5.0 cart hitting. Holy SHIT this thing hits quickly. I can't even actually handle pressing the button then hitting it, I have to start pulling gentle, give it like a 1 second pulse, pull more, another pulse, and pull to cool

woosah, I wanna start using the double cart head.

Quick question, on the new W9Tech website there are options for the Hercules SR-71 that include 3.7V Heater only, 7.4V Heater Only, and 3.7V & 7.4V Heaters. The prices for all the options are the same. So, why wouldn't I want both heaters for the same price? I'm thinking maybe it's just because the website is still being worked on as the voltage options weren't even available last night when I checked, but I was just curious.

EDIT: Nevermind, it looks like the website just updated with the change in prices listed. Pretty schweet deal on both heaters, I think I'm forced to buy it.

It's a given that I will buy the 3.7v heater element for my SR-71 (when the site goes back up). I apologize because I'm sure this has been asked before, but does the new Herc come with oil coils or do they have to be bought separately?

edit: I'll just wait until the site comes up and then check that way.

if you are buying a brand new sr-71 and not replacing, then im pretty sure they come with the coils. Those of us who are making replacements are receiving a discount on the coils as well as the 3.7v heater rod, so that we can have the ultimate set up.

I just updated my info and got my email almost instantly, but all my purchase history is gone. Which means I do not know my order numbers for anything I have ordered. I had about 20 orders saved. Hopefully they come back, cuz thats my only receipts

Ok guys new sr71 purchases get the oil coils.

Replacement sr71's get the oil coils at discount along with 3.7v heater rod.

As for past orders we still have that database for checking and no order history is lost. We just had to clean it up and start over.

Hey boss, if I needed a few more AW IMR's would you be able to throw them in with my SR-71 / coil shipment?

I wish we could but that increases the shipment to Canada. If you cover the difference we would be happy to.

What was the payment for if not for the rod or coils?
