Discontinued ThermoVape

Congrats on finding a suitable vape! Good luck with the VAS, try to stay away from all the other threads or your wallet will hate you

Thank you, I already caught it, with the evo acquired and the cera on the way I'm still considering getting the t1 and revolution lol. So yea my wallet ain't loving it but what the heck it's only an old piece of cowskin right:)

Thanks for the report and good news. It's tougher to learn on hash for sure, and some of the harder ones I've tried were a challenge for sure. I found surface area was critically important. Shaving off thin slices helps but I got the best results from freezing the hash and going after it with a grater to try to make small grains. Sometimes heating it up with a flame softens it enough to crumble but half the time I try that trick I seem to start loosing vapor before that happens (and who needs that?).

You're welcome let me get more than 5-10 sessions under my belt and I might have something half way intelligent to report:)
Yea the first thing I thought of was surface area as well but I quickly figured that wont matter with the grade of hash I have. Crumbled, sliced or just a 'lumb' it'll all melt together as soon as the cartridge heats up (kinda like a mix between bubble hash and the hard crumbly stuff you're mentioning). It does not go through the 'screen' at the bottom though but rather forms into one gooey piece again. However there is vape even in the initial heating pulls and if you stir it up once or twice it really seems to go a long way, but then again I need to do some more vaping before I got that perfected - I won't quit though;)

You've stumbled into one of the ironies of this stuff, since you can 'maintain' better (do they use that expression there? It means to appear and act straight to the straights) many of us find we use more hours in the day offsetting the savings......not objecting of course, just offsetting the gain through extra enjoyment.

Those of us who actually made an effort in learning your wonderful language do know the term yes, good explanation though:)
And yea even though I'm sure I haven't experienced the full effect just yet it does seem more manageable - like I say I actually wanna be active and do stuff:) And I see your point in spending those savings on perhaps some full melt for the EO cart hmm:) Besides since its not poison anymore, its nice not having to limit one self based solely on that.

I also disagree a bit about this expert stuff. Many of the rule are highly subjective and many are being written now (and we can assume have yet to be written?). IMO you're keeping receptive to the results has you on the fast track to expert.....at least in the corner of the game.

Welcome again to the fun. If I were a betting man I'd put tall odds on your quickly becoming a contributor of some note around here, you're going after this with much deliberation and both eyes open.....not bloodshot and squinting shut.

Thank you for the kind words, I like to think I got a pretty good approach to learning this stuff especially through trial and success rather than error:) I do hope I can contribute with something eventually, since I've learned a lot from this and other forums. Which reminds me I gotta start that whole vaporpedia importing cera page dealio, maybe I should see if it makes customs first though.

Well back to vaping.

And yeah, don't expect that crazy sedating stoney heavy body high.

That's what the Pax and Inhalater are for. Load your T1 ABV into either one, crank up the heat, and turn the ABV nearly black. That'll get you the "combustion" like effects you are looking for.

Flavor, portability and stealth all factor into my conclusion.

Honestly, I prefer my T1 with the wall adapter, solid voltage at all times gives great rips every time.

Stealth is of the highest order with the T1. It is by far the stealthiest of the vapes I own. The main reason is its lack of smell when heating - practically zero odor.

The AC adapter is a must for me. Once you have unlimited constant power at your hands it is much easier to develop the right technique. When I first got the T1 I had a success rate somewhere in the 90% range. It's pretty close to 100% now.

Well I must admit I'm seriously considering the AC adapter as well. Those 2 sets of batteries are running pretty hot and the charger can't keep up:) Don't know if I can get it still, maybe I should take your advice OF and try writing an overly courteous email and beg TET to screw one together for me.
I been trying to find some suitable extra batteries here in Europe but with no luck so far, so thought I'd try you guys:) Anyone know of some suitable batteries for the SV evolution? And maybe even a European seller?

Vaporiffic

Just found the tenergy batteries on amazon uk, only 29 bucks a piece without shipping lol :D

Same here although I think you're misreading a pack of ten for a single cell?
http://www.amazon.com/Tenergy-RCR123A-LiFePO4-Rechargeable-Batteries/dp/B001BLS5OA/ref=pd_sim_e_1

Be very careful to get that exact one, not the 900mAh version which is inferior for this use.

They should be under five bucks each. Lots of places carry them, they are popular with the killer flashlight guys.

Two thoughts, first with time you get faster, making better use of the charge. OTOH, a guy can't have too many charged batteries at the ready, now can he? I believe I have six sets. And some 17670s for LV use.....and some 14500s, lots of 18650s......

Nope didn't misread unfortunately, but I found them on amazon uk: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Tenergy-RCR...id=1370544700&sr=1-4&keywords=Tenergy+battery

I've seen the ones you're linking to as well, but it's all from the US and I was kinda hoping to get it back here, to avoid the whole customs thing which kick in at around 15-20 bucks. Maybe a 4 pack from US is the only way to go then.
Thank you bro.

And no, it doesn't seem like a guy can have to many batteries charged and ready to go:)

I personally wouldn't use it. Might fry your DART and set you back an extra $15 or so to get a rebuild from TV. I know there are other systems that will run the DART well, but I have no experience with them, only the Ultra.

I have a similar deal from "Zoly", the Revolution clone you can see at the extreme right with that supply...more or less. The packaging show is identical. I'm sure it's the same beast, made on the sixth floor of some Chinese factory IIRC. The adapter has different threads and won't support CE4s. That one might not have the 510 thread part you need for DART.

The battery itself is an OK copy, the parts interchange with the genuine part, but it's shabby quality IMO. And heavy (brass, not aluminum, adapter). The battery tube is two piece, they don't seem to have the precision deep hole machining ability TV used.

My advice is stay well clear. The batteries (mine is a 7.4 Volt, there's two....) are scary, no markings what so ever on them. I've never seen that. The charger is just this side of junk, I'm not about to use it.

As an alternative suggestion, try the Ego C twist. Very neat little guy with adjustable power level (although it stalls out at about 4.2 Volts, but IMO a great partner for DART. Pipes, I think, put us wise to it a while back. I have two. One is stashed with my spare DART and a vial of oil....'just in case'. I tested it well, I've no doubt it'll perform well:
http://www.litecigusa.net/joye_ego_c_twist_battery_s/232.htm

I found the 650mAh version much more handy, the 1000 is kind of long IMO, so I stashed that one. I also recommend the black over the silver metal version, very nice 'feel'. You might also consider a cover for the external threads we don't need:
http://www.litecigusa.net/EGO_Stainless_Steel_Shorty_Cone_p/egoshortsscone.htm.

A proven, solid product. A great match for Revolution/DART. Cheaper too.

Has anyone had any experience with this? I have a dart laying around and want to buy a new battery housing for it and came across this. It looks like a good imitation of the old Thermovape.

http://www.fasttech.com/products/0/...3-4-in-1-rechargeable-2200mah-electronic-ciga

My girlfriend actually bought one from a local e-cig shop. Actually kind of impressed me solid built, good connection and actually will fit all range of batteries even my Rcr123A as long with quite a few others with spacers that come with. 45$ bucks is what she payed had it for over a month so far

Yeah it is brass. Have you held on in person yet? I was offended when i saw them online, but then my girlfriend came home with one and was actually impressed. Weve never had good luck with any of ego's stuff something always goes out. But it took me to actually hold it in my hand, take it apart, and use it before i changed my mind about it

mod note: Read the rules please! 2 posts merged.

Yes, like I said, I bought one (after a fair bit of soul searching.....I justified it in my mind since I intend to take it to TV and strip it down, they've never seen one either). I don't intend to use it. For instance the ceramic plate has no pores, it looks like the bottom of a cheap coffee cup. And it doesn't draw well, near as I can tell by plugging the vents with toothpick ends only one goes through and I can see partial blockage there (plugging just that one stops flow).

Notice how dicey the plating is in though spots like the bottom of the battery tube? Mine would surely flake there after the battery had hammered on it some.

And the unlabeled batteries fit right in IMO. I smell 'low quality rejects', not even some off brand Chinese maker wants to take credit for?

My take is it's aimed squarely at the 'oh, cool, those! I tried one, they're great' impulse market. They even use some of TV's photos on their site. Shameless. My advice is stay away.

Too bad you're sour on Ego. Some of their stuff is marginal IMO, but the Twist has a wide following of happy owners. Your call.

Best wishes.

I should have been more precise. I would never use their "addons" But the battery sleeve is pretty good for just being mechanical. She only uses hers with a LV ava but weve used my HR dart on it with my rcr123a batteries and it seemed to work better?? I tried it a few times back and forth with my T1 battery sleeve and her nockoff and it seems to make a better connection somehow? Hers only came with a battery and the unite. No charger and the battery is labeled 18650 2200 mah.

Love my T1's. This is my kit in a Pellican 1120 case. It fits the T1 with short tip, 12 RCR 123A batteries, charger, wall AC adapter, a tube for AVB storage, two grinders (one taken out to show underneath), and a Tightvac TV-1 container (.12 liter). I still have a little room for a small bottle of IPA, which I plan to get in the future, for cleaning. What I like most about this config, is that I have a decent number of batteries if I wanted to have a longer session. Because as you know the T1 drains them after 10-15 good hits.

I don't always keep it this packed but it just shows how much I can put in the 1120 case:

I picked up a T1 yesterday. I always thought it was quite bulky but it is smaller than i imagined. Thought it would be a nice one hitter to throw in your pocket.

So far i have not been getting very satisfying results though. I never really have a lot of vapor on exhaling, but the vape feels very hot. Can anybody help me out here? I really want to like this device. It's built like a tank!

I found it's mainly in the patience waiting for the pre-heat. Starting too soon sets back the heat and before you know it, you're thinking something is wrong. Was the case for me.
Anyway, OF posted the long version here.

Enjoy your new toy.

That was really all i needed to know. It took me a while to get it right..But now i get great, satisfying hits.
I screwed up some weed and batteries. I thought it would be kind of like the MFLB, just wait a little longer. But with this thing you really need to heat the core first.

As always with vapes i get to enjoy their methods..And i love the 3 step method already. Especially when you arrive at step 3 .

edit: Whoa! :mmmm::leaf:

Yup, as Bill Cosby might say, 'when I finally make it to step 3 I ain't goin' back for nobody'! That solid test puff that signals the end of step 2 is cause for celebration and anticipation for sure. You've paid your dues, you're about to reap the rewards.

I'm thinking of getting my T1 converted to low voltage. Can anyone tell me what 17670 battery TET used to supply with their LV models? I'm assuming it will be the best choice. Also, will these charge in the charger that TET ships with the Cera?

Cheers

We're all waiting (some patiently, most anxiously) for those beloved adapters for the Essential Oil Cartridges :)

I have a cera and I'm waiting for the adapter just because I'm afraid of breaking cera I want to have a way to still use the EO core lol

Save your money. LV doesn't cut it for the power needed. T1 is a powerful beast, about twice what Cera is. 30 Watts, very hard to do at SV, basically not possible at LV. 20 Watts barely is for Evolution on LV.

Stick with SV and the exact battery the factory shipped (at least for now).

If it were possible it would be the same 17670.....there's basically just the one. It charges on the same charger as 18650s do, the charger that comes with T! for RCR123As is too low in voltage and the slots are too short.

Thanks OF,

For some reason I thought you had the LV T1 core and enjoyed it. Must have been mistaken.
