Can you order from ALT, try it and if it doesn't suit your need send it back after you cleaned it ?

I think a call to ALT Customer Support will take care of that... like I said... I think since these were posted today and everything else has been sold out on ALT's Mobius section, I believe that this is a separate shipment from the scratched pieces... let's hope at least. *gulp*

It has been resolved since this was not from this recent batch but from a shipment that was about two months ago. ALT gave me a refund although I am out the $7 for having the Mobius shipped to me that they will not refund. It is disappointing as im sure there are a lot of people out there who simply accept these pieces thinking this its ok since both Mobius and ALT are telling us they are going through and passing QC.

I called just now and spoke to a not-so-friendly customer rep.. telling me that he's heard no reports of Mobius pieces coming from ALT that have been defected and that I need to contact Mobius personally.. also thought that I already had the 60mm can in-hand and that I was claiming it was defective... maybe put the bong down and listen to your customer on the other end? Told me he "had no time to argue with me" when I was simply addressing a QC issue that I have been reading here and he didn't even bother to say they would look at the piece before shipping, just said "If you receive the piece and it's defected send it back for a refund".

Yeah I'm not really too pleased with ALT right now. I wanted to return my piece and get a replacement but since they're not in stock I can only receive a refund. Well I then learn I have to pay a restocking fee of 10% (lowered from 20% originally) and I have to pay the shipping back to ALT. At this point, I don't know what to do. I'm pretty much better off just keeping the imperfect piece than spending $40-$50 to send it back in my opinion. I really love this piece and it seems to function well from just water testing but I can't help but feel I've been taken advantage of by paying the same price everyone else pays and having a lesser quality piece. This whole process has been a long and painful ordeal and at this point I may just be willing to write it off as a loss and stay away from ALT.

"Good" prices? Maybe for some things, but they're a bit on the expensive side in general. And woe betide ye if you're a foreign customer. If you "only" pay an additional 25% on top of your order cost in shipping, consider yourself lucky.

EDIT: If you're looking for a 60mm Stemless Stereo Matrix, there is about to be one posted on ALT probably for non-sale price, so $420. I'm thinking I need to just be content with my Ion Matrix and I'm tired of shitty customer support.
