Whoa, more design changes.

The smaller one looks so much sexier than my 2 hole, INH004 sized XP.

Damn

-edit- I guess "so much" is an exaggeration considering it's only a bit smaller, rofl. Im just jealous is all

So, is Plantvape really not taking orders on XP's till March 8th? That's what it says on their website. Anyone know anything about this?

i think you can place your order, but it wont ship until at least the 8th. not sure if there will be any delays or not from that point.

i wonder where Taylor is....

*EDIT* well... i did it... order placed through PV. got some doob tubes and solo stem caps also. hopefully it ships on the 8th :brow:

I believe Taylor said he wouldn't be getting any till the middle of March which is good in my book cause they should have maybe worked the kinks out by then.

Can anyone who had the 004 and now the XP compare the draw resistance for me? And if possible take it one step further and compare it to anything in my signature.

My lungs have been even worse than their already shitty baseline, and unfortunately I have basically stopped using my inhalator due to the draw resistance.

From reading the changes I'd assume the resistance would be pretty much half, since the intakes were doubled. Could anyone comment on whether I would notice the difference? I love my 004 so much I have no reason to abandon it other than this.

Edit: Decided I should probably clarify to prevent misinforming or confusing onlookers. The draw resistance on the 004 is not bad at all, probably one of the best available, my lungs are the ones to blame. Any average person id assume this would be a complete non-issue for.

i have both and the xp has atleast double, if not more, the air flow of my inh004.. one wrong hit on the xp can have me coughin lol. i havent tried anything else in your sig but just think about your 004 with atleast 2-3 times better air flow. it doesn't make any noise either when your sucking through it like the 004 does sometimes.

comparing heat up times, i turned the knobs to max and the inh004 took about 40 seconds longer to get to a still green light.
battery life is almost comparable from my usage but this one is hit or miss cause i dont time my sessions or weigh em either so it wont be as accurate.. but the XP doesnt seem like it blows out the 004 in battery life, only heat up time.

Hello everyone.
Sorry for being away so long. Work is intensive and days turn out short.

Here are occurances on the first XP units

Will not heat/stops flashing after 5 seconds - Broken solder at heater
Will not start. Potentiometer switch malfunction.
Small vapor quantity. Wrong calibration
Capsule wrinkle and flare. Capsule too long
Heating chamber malformation. Wrong length tolerancing and adjustment

Once the the Inhalater is not heating anymore, there is no battery drain. Once battery in completely charged, charging light does not come on. This is reason for apparent charger malfunction after heating malfunction.

All these details have been taken care of at this moment.

To all customers who have problems, we will do our outmost to return you a perfect unit as quickly as possible.

The electronics are the core of the XP. Body dimension reduction have been planned for months and are kicking in gradually.

so are the new units the smaller ones with the small sticker?

So where does this leave the loyal individuals who pre-ordered the XP, did they just receive a re-branded INH004? It seems there are alot of discrepancies with the initial batch that were sent out in terms of size, number of air-holes, and end cap.
I feel it, after having both units i realize they are almost the same. They both have that bug where you get no light or a very dim light after you try to go for a back to back session. So you have to turn the dial on and off sometimes. I wonder if this is something they would warranty? Its not a big deal but if they have the same bug and are almost identical....then it does feel like I bought a rebranded 004..

Still my best vapes by far though

WOW...this doesn't seem like an improvement. This is sad. I hope they get it worked out soon. They say they did but as always we won't know till it is in peoples hands for a few weeks or so. This is the same bugs as the first unit and it took them all this time to have the same bugs:hmm:

sounds like if you think you got a bad one or one that is not right you can send it back. doesn't hurt to call or write to them and ask.

Well, I won't know for certain until I have my unit in my hot little hands (Hmm.... did that come out right?). The only thing that I find puzzling relates to as why there are so many iterations of the XP floating about. Over the last few days we've seen the INH004 sized XP appear with two and then four air-intakes with rounded and flat end caps. Then, we've seen the slightly smaller version with two air holes.

In the end though, I'm sure it won't be a big deal because even if the improvements over the original 004 prove to be marginal, the XP will be an amazing vaporizer.

That's what mine does, chances are its dead. Check and see if it is heating up. If its dead send an email (and include your shipping address) to Pharmcor and they will send you a replacement.

nice im ordering mine on the 7th hopefully i will have it in less than 2 weeks. they are not shipping out until the 8th so you probably wont have it by the 8th

Rrose Selavy,
I ordered mine from PV a month or so back and it still hasn't shipped yet... So if y'all are just now ordering I wouldn't expect it to be shipped on the 8th. They still have to take care of everyone who purchased it a while ago.

im not surprised i figured some people were waiting on their orders. it all depends on the size of the shipment PV is getting. right now the site says a 10 day delay on the XP. hope its accurate.

The XP unit is at it's core constituted by the new heating chamber and sensitive electronics. The evolution of the body, does not impact on the vapour quality and production.

As testing was done with new electronics, it was discovered that air flow could be opened, we thought that maximum air draw was reached with 4 holes in the body and this modification incorporated into the components on hand.

As we planned for a new production of body components and included modifications planned months ago ; a shorter body and modified inner chamber air passageway: we discovered that air draw limiting factor was internal and that 2 holes on the exterior body was sufficient.

Basically, 2 hole or 4 hole configuration, length of unit and cap shape should not be used as factor to determine if unit is an XP or a 004. The difference lay in the heating chamber; a coil on the 004 and flat strips on the XP and the presence of the auto mode.

Adding to confusion is that when capsule filter is gummed up; draw will revert closer to 004 standard.

I haven't received mine yet so this may perhaps be a silly question, but is there a way to clean the capsule filter?
