Which would be best (taste, components (whip composition, heater ...) durability, ease of use) the Da Buddha or the Vaporwarez 4g?

The Vaporwarez company has been closed by the owner for personal reasons and Vaporstore is honoring the warranties. They have a limited number of 2G and 3G units, but I've not seen a single 4G. Your best options on a box vape are the Vapor Brothers or one of Vaporstore's other models-Vapor Doc, Vapor Box, Vapor Tower, etc. All of Vaporstore's models have a better warranty than Vapor Bros. and you can get a 10% discount with 'vapormovement' as a coupon code.

That said, I personally think the DBV is a better deal. A good box vape will give you just as good of a hit, but the heater cover angle on most is a drawback IMO. And the two piece whip on the Vapor Tower is less convenient. The DBV can be had for about $140 from a couple of dealers with FC discounts. The tubing and screens are low priced, and screen replacement is fairly easy. You also get a really nice carry/storage bag with the vape. I can't see buying a wood box vape over the DBV unless you just like wood.

Hello, i ordered 3 of the new picks available at 7th floor. They looks nice, I got the red mushroom, blue mushroom, and the frog. The only downside with those compared to the regular marble ones is that the glass figure is too large so you can only pick but can't tamper the herb in da buddha standard wand. Just bad that they don't mention this on the description as i would have added a regular one to my order to replace the one included with my buddha vaporizer as the marble was already loose and broke after a few days.

hey guys. how do you clean your Buddha? I love the fact that I can vap with out the smell of burning herb, but after a couple weeks use, the herb smell in my DBV case is getting pretty strong. How do you clean your whip? Do you wash it out periodically? If so, do you take the tubing off first or wash the entire thing?

thanks for any help! I'm still new to vaping (2 weeks) but am LOVING it. much better than smoking.

I also ordered a shroom pick, figuring like you that the shape would be effective, only to find that it doesn't fit into the wand. I'd also ordered a standard pick though, and the 7th Fl. folks threw in a second pick for free, so I have nothing to complain about. I think you have a legit complaint, though.

I agree with you that they should make the purely decorative nature of these picks a bit clearer. The frog clearly isn't functional, but the shroom seems like it would be.

Funny you mentioned this, I was just noticing the same thing after getting home from work. The heater cover is simple enough to slide off and soak in some iso whenever, for the wand and whip it depends. If you are looking to get some sticky goodness from all that collects in the wand, its better to wait a while. You can then stick it in the freezer for a minute and use the pick to scrape off some stuff that will make you silly high.

If you've seen any of videos by TokinGLX, his wands are almost black looking. I don't quite take it that far but every month or 2 I'll do that.

I just replace the whip tubing as it gets discolored and the smell is too much.

There're two methods for harvesting the very valuable "wand hash": Scraping and iso washing. Personally I prefer scraping. I use iso to extract honey oil from ABV, but I prefer to limit the amount of iso I deal with.

It took me a while to find a good scraping tool. You need something really long and narrow. I finally took an old pair of barber's shears and snapped them in two. Works perfectly. Being a cheap SOB, I try to clean the whip as well as I can, rather than replacing it. I take a wire coat hanger which I straightened out, and I use it to push an iso soaked rag through the tube. Cleans it out pretty well. The mouthpiece is the hardest bit to clean, cause the shape is so odd. I stick an iso soaked piece of paper toweling in the mouthpiece and then scrub the inside using a pick.

I haven't cleaned the heater cover yet. I haven't blown any herb the wrong way, so it's stayed pretty clean so far.

I clean the same but am still playing with different things with the abv and I use the end of a pair of nail clippers that fits the wand perfectly for me.

For the mouthpiece, I use a q-tip in just soap and water mostly.

I use the regular clear wands and mouthpieces. Nothing fancy.

Clean the wand as above. I don't care about saving the results of the whip and mouthpiece, so I use Marc Emery's method for cleaning a bong:

1) Pour some iso in the item (tube or mouthpiece in this case).

2) Add some sea-salt. Marc uses kosher salt, but what's important is that it's course - not a fine ground.

3) Shake well for a few mins.

4) Pour out and enjoy a shiny clean item.

The alcohol is the solvent and the sea-salt is the abrasive. It cleans places nothing else can touch. Works like magic.

cheers

Really good tip. It worked instantly for me. Thanks. :)

I just placed an order for the black Da buddha.. The place I ordered from said there is a 2 week wait for the black DBV.. They offered me the Silver Surfer for $55 more... What are the major differences between the DBV and the SSV.. From just looking and watching videos I like the DBV better...

The black DBV is $20 more than the silver on 7th Floor's site and most others. $55 more for the silver is ridiculous. Vapeworld has the black (and it shows as in stock) for the same $160 and they provide a 12% off coupon for FC members (http://www.fuckcombustion.com/viewtopic.php?id=334). If it turns out to be not in stock, let us know. You shouldn't see the 'add to cart' button if it's out of stock.

The DBV and SSV are indentical, as far as the internal components. You get a custom knob with the SSV, a metal base, and it just costs more to produce. If you like the hands free GG connection on the DBV, it's a better buy.

The main functional difference between the two (besides the angle that the SSV sits at) is the heater covers and wand types available for each. The SSV can accommodate either the quick change wand (standard on the SSV) or the ground glass connection, as well as a hands free attachment which in my opinion is a more secure solution than the ground glass for hands free. DBV is only available with a ground glass connection.

--EDIT--
D'oh, max beat me to it

Thanks Max for the fast reply.. Vapor World is where I ordered and I got the Discount so $140 for the Black DBV.. Which I think is a great price... But they just emailed me and they are out of stock on all DBV(Black and silver).... I think I will just keep my order in and wait for them to come in.. Vapor World seems like a great site... I guess the DBV are selling like hotcakes...

I got a Magic-Flight Launch Box which I love.. I just wanted to get a table top Wand unit also and it looks like for the price, you cant go wrong with DBV...

Vapeworld, not Vapor World. Don't want to confuse other bargain hunters. ;)

It's disappointing to hear that Vapeworld lets you add a vape to your cart when they have no stock. Maybe they'll improve their software or take the time to manually remove the 'add to cart' button when they're out of stock. The other vendor with the 12% discount, Dieselvapors, is also out of stock. At least they have it listed as 'out of stock'. You might give Vapenow a call. Their 'in stock' info is a little conflicting, but it's worth a call, and 10% off is a given, and they may just match the 12%. Another recommended vendor- http://www.tokinsvapes.com/ seems to have stock, and his price for the black is just $10 more, but you may not get a discount. Up to you whether price or delivery time is more important.

$55 more for the silver surfer is a good deal, I would jump on that if you have the extra money.:2c:

A little bit more as I dont think tokin has a coupon price but he may have them in stock if time is an issue. If you want custom glass I highly recommend him. Edited, I saw Max already mentioned Tokin.

Kuroth, the launch box goes very well with a good desktop vape like the DBV. In fact right now I am vaping the ABV from a weekend trip I took with my launch box.

I just ordered a Da Buddha from VapeWorld too. I was hoping they would offer to ship a Silver Surfer for a small additional fee, but the best they could do was $56 more. I used a 10% off coupon code to order Da Buddha, which made it $144 shipped. I couldn't justify spending $56 more for a vaporizer that offers little more than some fancy glass knobs and a better warranty.

I'm hoping this out of stock issue will be resolved within the next week or so. If not, I'll probably cancel my order and look elsewhere.

They're doing the same thing with the regular picks too. I just received one last week (marble type) and it doesn't fit in the wand either. The one that came with my Da Buddha did, but not this new one. Sucks, because I like to use it for tamping. Oh well, c'est la vie.

Well, I reached 7th floor today, and they said Da Buddha isn't backordered anymore. I then called VapeWorld, and they said they would be shipping out my DBV next week, at the latest. I should also note that they offered to sell me a discounted SSV, but to me, I didn't think it would be worth the extra $, so I decided to wait.

I can't wait to see an email with a tracking # now!

My da buddha vape has been working great for over a year up until yesterday, i turned it on in the morning, heated up fine, had a few bowls then turned it off, later on that night, i turn it on full blast like always to warm up, and after a few mins i noticed that the ceramic heater never came on.. I turned it off and back on a few times and tried a few different power plugs and nothing worked... I emailed them yesterday right after it happened and haven't got a response back yet...

You never appreciate a vape until u cant use it anymore..

any body else ever have this problem?
