Arizer Solo

I am going to present a couple of Solo vids

I haven't been following - but sound like you are not happy. I hope it gets fixed soon.

Tintest, you are awesome for offering your help.

Vitolo, I have a couple of unused Solo stems I can send you. If for some reason, you want or need the straight or bent stems, or both, I can send them to you - let me know!

As an aside, and as iloveboobs and u bwade wunner have shown - maybe the stem can be melted and modified to be a little less loose fitting? I think it would take a lot of experimenting and experience with glass to achieve that, but can be done.

Then what the heck is that thing called that i'm thinking of? It's like a plastic filled piece or water (or alcohol or some liquid), and you put it in the freezer. You don't ADD any water to it, and I heard it gets warm in minutes before having to be refroze?
glycerine tube.

Vape4life it is a vapor tamer or glycerine tube. I have the smallest one from 7th floor. Here check this vid out.

VapeNStone,
Well nevermind on the vid it had way to much of my face into it lol. But I took the glycerine tube and stuck it into the top of my 18mm ashcatcher bubbler then the gong stem into the glycerine tube. I'll see if I can take a pic.

can i stick my male joint in there?

If the loose stem bothers you like it did me, purchase a #11 rubber O ring from Ace Hardware in the US - 3/4 x 9/16 x 3/32 Stock No 35728B for about 59 cents - problem solved. The stem stays put even when upside down and shaken. I also purchased the Solo glass on glass adapter from planetvape.ca and the Solo now attaches perfectly to my favorite water pipe (great service and fast shipping to the US by planetvape). Stick a screen in the Solo's stem and you now have a damn good portable vape setup.

Hell yea its awesome. You can really cool down the vapor with this and take even bigger rips :) here is a pic of what it looks like.

Our friend sessnet is a friend indeed, because he has done what I was asking of Arizer!
He has offered a patient a solution... and is actually sending me alternate stems to use.
So, I also followed all of your solutions.. tried them all..

Glad to see the FC community pulling together. I really love my solo, and even though it has a few quirks, it works really well, and I get plenty medicated from it. That is cool for Sessnet to offer up a couple of stems. I also have extras, I bought in the beginning when I was not experienced with the Solo. Since then I mainly use my Gong or Stealth stem, and the others are just there in case I need them. I am very interested in the new airflow stems from PV and the wooden stem from Ed's. Can't wait to see them available and getting feedback.

Do other stems offer better air flow then the regular, bent two hole stem? I assumed the low-flow was due in part to the design of the heating element. Possibly on purpose to create thicker clouds...

The newer stems have four holes. I haven't tried the two hole ones, but I suppose 4 holes would offer a little more air.

The big problem seems to be the air coming in through the tiny little holes in the bowl, which are then covered by the glass rim of the stems. So, the air intake isn't the effective at all! That is why some wiggling or pulling out the stem a bit (away from covering the air holes) is in order.

Also, the user "tintest" makes a disk which lifts the stem away from the bowl, to achieve better airflow. That saves you the hassle of trying to move the stem around and find the sweet spot. There are other ways that can be achieved, by placing a screen or something else there instead, but I haven't tried putting anything else in there :)

I was wondering if anybody has figured out if there is an alternative to the charger offered by arizer? I know nothing about electronics so...but seems a bit overkill to get another charger that does not charge the battery(even if it is turned of?) like it sais on the site. If it would charge as well I might get it, but seems bit too much to need to carry around an extra charger.

Maybe there is a physical reason for this, again, i don't know much about electronics. I know some people mentioned some testing in this thread (a smal inquiry by using the search function did not really give me an answer...)

And it is really cool to see how people here are helping each other out. maybe the company in question is not your friend, it seems like this community jumps in to reach out its hand and help where possible.

...welll I believe most on this site have interacted with vito in some way, and really appreciate how he has assisted mmp (mediacl marij. patients) with videos, articles, etc....I know I owe him a debt a gratitude for pointing me in the right direction on more than one occasion...that said there is value in many on this site offering info and assistance to folks on this journey...a tip of the hat...I too am pleased that the group pulled together to assist a member (isn't that what it's all about?!)....hopefully as we continue this journey companys (at the least the smart ones) will learn and appreciate the value of interacting with the people on this site...cheers

One is a charger (comes with it) the other does not charge, it just powers the solo, bypassing the battery, so you can use it with out putting wear on the battery. I use the AC adapter to run mine at home or where ever I can plug in, to save battery life.

Thanks turk... you da man!
Let us face facts. This is a unique community.
You fellow members offered me more help and practical direction , than did the manufacturer of the Solo. They did not offer advice, knowing I am a Vape Fanatic, with a dozen MMJ patients a day at my door. You guys had NOTHING to lose, but cared immensely!
I will go one farther.
Sessnet in 24 hours did more to improve Solo/customer relations, then they have since I tried my first V tower!

Glad you're liking the Solo a bit more now Vito...as always, love the vids!

I just got the GonG adapter from PV and it's really loose.
Is that just how they are supposed to be? Way looser than my other stems.
It's makes it kinda tough to use with the sweet little Zapubler. Maybe a carbed one would have been better?

I also find the pull really tight when I try to use it with my other glass.
Looks like I'm going to have to try the Boobs stem mod or maybe pick up one of tintest discs?

The Zapubler is a great little addition to the Solo and is damn fine quality!
A bit taller (with the Gong adapter) then I thought it would be but it still works really nice!
