Ok, let's try an experiment:

This thread has no topic except what is currently being discussed. Which means anything that has been spoken of in at least one of the previous 3 posts. You can refer to anything from earlier posts too, just as long as it's also relevant to one of the most recent 3.

Go. :D

only a few posts and it's already about sports?!
and it's discriminatory against us non-US'ers too since we don't know anything about your sports :p (and on top of that I also don't know anything about sports around here)

Hey, females play football too. ;)

And check out the pics and the vid clips. Get past how their dressed and it's obvious that these ladies ARE seriously playin' the game and playin' it well. This ain't your old mud wrestling or roller derby. These ladies are not holding back.

And check out the depth of this site. Click on the standings then click on the individual teams. Then click on the video's in the upper right hand corner. Hang in there until you start seeing the gameplay. ESPN isn't laid out this well. lol

Pretty amazing on a few different levels. :)

Look at the patterns that they're running. Look at some of those hits. These teams have more than just practiced a few Sundays here and there and from the looks of it, it looks like they're takin' it pretty damn seriously.

( Other than the promoters selling game worn uniforms on the site. Hey Vito, wanna go in halfsies? :brow: )

The future of sport? LOL !!!

Which reminds me, Hunger Games is opening soon. Whatever happened to Rollerball or Pyramid from BSG? Personally, my money would be on the LFL. Could you imagine if the LFL was presented in the Olympics with teams from countries all over the world? Backstories and such. I'd watch it.........in a heartbeat, that is, if my heart didn't give out from watching it. lol

Well there have been a couple places where the topic could become more universal, but it got dragged back. This isn't the last you'll hear of me, thread. But first I have to look up a bunch of esoteric acronyms.

If your concern is heart health I suggest plenty of exercise and a diet high in omega 3 fatty acids. Oh and don't just give your heart to anyone, that could lead to some serious heartache in and of itself.

Oh, I get plenty of exercise. Run 4 miles 5 days a week and on the other 2 days of the week, I walk to the market (3 miles) and walk back doing curls with two 15 lb. bags of groceries............and I'm turning 68 in a month, so I got the exercise thing down. Now my diet is a whole other story..... :( . Just finished a pint of Ben and Jerry's.

And as far as giving my heart away.......I have over the years and I can tell ya this. Men's hearts can be broken and it can REALLY hurt.

live free and live elevated :}
I recently began staring up my daily exercises since about 2 month's time after fracturing my left foot. Pure upper body work out and let me tell you I can feel the burn. It was nearly a day ago but I can still feel my body temperature rising again. It feels satisfying in some way haha. As far as love goes its all an illusion, just brace yourself for anything after you've been tricked into heart ache. Remember what Mr. Marley said "everything is going to be all right" and most of all "first take care of head." So vape away and think happy thoughts :}.

I'm trying to do a bit more excercise. I'm a bit of a yo-yo-er when it comes to fitness. I'll be active and get strong for a bit and then sometimes I'll just slack off for a few weeks - which is where I am at the moment.

But the one thing I try to do every day is a dozen sun salutations (surya namaskara) - basically the hatha yoga you do if you do nothing else. It just gives me a basic level of strength, flexibility, and feeling of balance.

I'm glad I'm naturally fit, I do cycle 20 km a day on regular weekdays tough(and often on saturdaynight too, on friday it sometimes becomes 40)
according to google 20 km is about 12,5 miles

but I only cycle to get somewhere, I need a destination/goal. walking/cycling/anything just for the excercise seems pointless to me and I can't do that.
only thing I do without destination is longboarding, since it just feels great to longboard while high, especially on summernights, in the darkness, quiteness with a bright sky full of stars

I'm not very flexible, can't even lift my leg to a 90 degree angle with my body/other leg while keeping my leg straight. with bent knee I can lift it higher, but then I can't get my leg straight anymore

I also don't gain weight easily, my BMI has always been too low, the only time ever I gained weight fast(multiple kilograms in a few weeks), was when I started cycling as much as I do now

I was naturally fit too when I was younger, but there comes a point in life where one becomes naturally unfit and then one needs to work really hard at becoming unnaturally fit. ;)

It wasn't till I got to the very bottom of the page that it dawned on me that you maybe don't play with a yo-yo for excersize....

heard that before, but if I'm like my dad, I will also keep my natural fitness for a nice while, but will bald soon(that has already started), and get a bad back
