Forum Email Issue

We're currently experiencing an issue with certain email providers rejecting mail from our domain.

This affects any mail sent through the forum, including topic subscription emails, registration emails, and private messages sent via the form email system. I don't have specifics on how long it's been occurring, but if you've sent someone a message and haven't received a response this could be why. If you need to send a member a private message you'll need to exchange emails and communicate directly. I might suggest the chat room for this purpose. You could also change your profile email to one with a provider not listed below, such as gmail.

Apologies for the inconvenience, it's being looked into now. My guess is that a site nearby on the network was flagged for abuse and the block is affecting us as well. Or maybe someone was really offended by our domain/site content. Any updates will be posted in this thread.

So does this mean that the email is going to those domains at all? Not even to spam? Sounds like a conspiracy to me! :o

Its weird but NOW, today, I am starting to get sporadic e-mails from here again . . . confusing. BTW Google does scan your e-mail. Starting in March you will see cross Google platform advertising based on your e-mail keyword scans and previous searches on YouTube, Google etc.

Just as an FYI i get them in my tamug.edu (stopped using that one about a week ago cus its my university email... would suck if they found out) acc and btinternet.com (it is through yahoo) account

Each time I try, I get the following:

The IRC channel isn't broken, you have been banned by one of the channel operators. Normally this means you were in the channel and broke at least one of the rules posted at http://goo.gl/wc56m. Since I can find no trace of gn0me in the logs, you would have been using another nick.

Another possibility is that someone created a ban that is too broad in scope. This can happen because #fuckcombustion bans are normally done by hostname, and sometimes a ban affects other people using the same ISP. If I knew your hostname I could investigate and possibly remove the ban. I say "possibly" because removal depends on why the ban was issued. Join IRC and send a /msg to pakalolo so that I can pick up your hostname, and I will look into it.

For a couple of weeks I didn't receive any emails ( damn rogers ) :mad: and they just started back up a couple days ago....

Just wanted to report back on e-mail options. For some reason I can't get safe-mail.net to work with Thunderbird . . . sigh and Hushmail is nice but won't let me poll remotely so I have to have a browser tab with it loaded up, but it works. Didn't realize how many e-mails I wasn't getting from here . . .

I noticed I had multiple emails in my spam folder from people with @aol.com emails regarding items in the classifieds. Only @aol.com was affected in my situation.
