When traveling, my rotation has been using the Magic Flight Launch Box first w/material and get the 'cream' of the vapor w/it and save the abv for the 'E' later. I am hoping to put the PD into the middle of this rotation and use the 'E' for pulling higher temps at the end. What is using semi-fresh abv like in the PD? Does anyone ever save the abv from the PD in a container and then re-use it a few days (or longer) later?

The PD tends not to cook herb too much so depending on how much Magic box cooks it you might not be able to get much more out. However if its still pretty much green you should be alright for that process.
I actually have done this by accident and was surprised I could actually get 1-2 more hits out of already vaped PD remains after a few days rest. I'm could be it just dried out a bit more but it also could be from a slightly higher ambient temperature. You could always try adding a can cozy to bump up the PD temperature slightly but since you have an E I don't think that's really necessary.duh said:

Question: I live where it is quite humid. Keeping weed bone dry by leaving it out in a bowl isn't an option here. Should I make a anti "humidor" out of a jar and a dessicant packet or something similar?
Tip: Since it is hard for me to keep weed bone dry, i have tried this: Freeze a nug for an hour or more. Crumble the nug immediately, while frozen, into near powder (do it inside the freezer if space permits).
Load a very lightly packed bowl and let it sit in the pd for 5-10 minutes. Then take a good sherlock style toke - you're all set to fly.
PS - if your weed is too moist to crumble while frozen, my guess is, it is just too moist for the PD

The metal cylinder gets extremely hot and cats being curious will go to sniff it and burn their tender noses. Happened to my cat.
We'll imo the pd dosent radiate enough heat to warn cats away. Aparantely not even progress . My cat is a sphynx and very inquisitive. I certainly wouldn't call my cat dumb (even if he was). Anyway FYI, my cat didn't come up and tell me he got burnt, he has a pink nosepad and I was wiping his nose after eating raw meat and noticed a subtle singe mark on it in the shape of the pd heat cylinder. I wouldn't have noticed it on my black cats nose and also wouldn't have noticed it if I wasn't looking at it closely.
If you keep your pd on 24/7 like I used to, and have cats that you don't want to get burnt, keep the unit out of your cats reach!

I've been lurking for a little while and just wanted to say that my wife and I absolutely love our PD. How does everyone not know about this gorgeous little device?
Additionally, I've read every single page of this thread but um, have people not been able to put one and one together? This captainhits character seems to have done nothing but contribute pretty thoughtless comments throughout this thread, and is it just me or does anyone find it kind of striking that soon after he posted the incessant string of posts complaining about his "failed" unit that folks have to now buy their PD via vapenow.com?
Anyways, thanks for all of the advice and this form is an amazing resource. I believe friends of ours will be acquiring a PD for themselves in the coming weeks.
