Awesome thread! I just finished reading all 108 pages. Just yesterday, barely reaching a third of the thread, I was sold! So I emailed the PD team and quickly ordered one direct from Pammy! Can't wait to get my trembling hands over my new paisley Days! Thanks Pam for the mighty excellent CS!
I should mention just a week ago, I also ordered an Iolite which I haven't received yet. And now this.
I am awfully excited! The Purple Days for indoors and the Iolite for stealth/outdoors.
To Tom, Pam and everyone else, thanks for all the invaluable knowledge and feedback you've all shared.

Actually, considering the current situation, where demand far exceeds supply, allowing multiple purchases is not a good idea. Sure it helps you get one for your friend, but I'm sure that some others were feeling like you got yours and theirs too. What if you had 6 or 8 friends who wanted one, and you were the first buyer of the week. You and your friends get the bulk of the week's shipment with just a few clicks on your part, and others who have been watching the site 8 hours a day lose out. It also gives people the opportunity to buy up a shipment and resell the units at higher prices. At least for a while, there surely will be enough people willing to pay a premium price in order to get one now (especially with the super quick sell-out this week).xyu said:

It's the most equitable way to handle it, considering the high demand. I don't know how long the 'one per customer' policy will last. It'll probably continue as long as they're selling out quickly. I would imagine you could buy one each week if you wanted.
As to the possibility of one person making multiple buy transactions before they sell out, it may not be likely if they sell out in a few minutes, but if they last 15 minutes or so (maybe less), it'll certainly be possible from a technical standpoint. I've just asked about this situation, so it'll be a while before we know what the verdict is.

On a totally other topic, I fell asleep last night thinking about the PD and had PD dreams even though I have never seen one in person before
. Maybe this is a good omen for my chances next week. Maybe it is also a sign I'm a little PD-crazed right now. 
All of this did bring me to a question - I had read of some people concerned w/loosing kief out of the bottom of the tubes. Is there a transport issue when bringing the material in to the PD? Does everyone just use the drag to fill and continue to drag while moving to the PD?
Another question - I know the PD is at a constant temperature which prevents charring. What happens when the vapor is gone, do you just know by color and staleness?

I don't. I just hold the PD pointed down at an angle, as if I was drinking a coke, and then insert the stem. Once everything is heated up, everything just kinda sticks in the bowl.duh said:

I suggested it (as well as some others) when I realized that someone could buy up a whole shipment if they got there first. The owner agreed it was a fair way to do it, and he also finally figured out how to restrict an on-line purchase to one unit (something that a seller usually wouldn't be concerned withduh said:
).Yeah, deleting posts can be messy and lead to loss of context for some posts. Hopefully, nothing like this will happen again, or if it does, maybe we can 'nip it in the bud', like Barney Fife used to say.
As for moving posts, the software doesn't allow it. We can copy/cut and paste, but the posts would be labeled with the user name of the mod who pasted. :/I use a Vaporstore stir tool (looks more like a mini coke spoon than a stirrer) to collect some kief and add it to a 3/4 full bowl of herb (loaded any way you like). The kief stays put pretty well, but I take my first hit with the unit in a horizontal position, just in case. After that first hit the load is very secure- even more so than with just herb loaded IMO. The vaped kief seals the bowl quite well.
Don't forget that a battery pack is possible. I've got two Vapolution packs so I can even start up cold and still have an extended session.Acolyte of Zinglon said:

Just for fun I decided to see how far I could take a 0.1g. Packing the bowls about half way to the top I was averaging 6 bowls per 0.1g. Each bowl was enough to fill the 100ml bong twice without any popcorn taste. What does it all mean? Hitting mini bongs is fun.

Wow. Totally awesome. Did you require any special bits and pieces to get the PD stem to seal with the bong? Any pics of it in action?
The tapered PD tubes fit airtight in 14mm GonG joints. The one on this bong is also deep enough so you don't have to hold it in place.
As for action shots, there's an animated gif in the skim milk thread, still working on some better shots/vids.
It takes a little practice but really just a matter of holding the PD steady and at the right angle.
With a bong this short it can be a little challenging at first; if you're wearing a hat you need to tilt your head to the side or the brim will hit the PD.

Anyway, I was wondering with VapeNow, when the next batch is ready to go, when that will be or when it happened last week? I noticed it said 5/4 will be the next, but I have work and such and I don't want to miss it for another week so I was wondering if it was like midnight of 5/4 or some random time during the day.
Also, does anyone know how their packaging looks? If my brother sees what I'm buying him, it will ruin the surprise.

Well I'll tell you this, last week they said the vapes would be coming in on the 27th (a Monday) and they didn't show up on the page till the 29th (Wednesday) at around 4 or so.grizzlybearman said:

No, we don't want questions about shipping dates, delivery dates-we have no inside info here. We don't know what day Tom ships or when vapenow gets the delivery from USPS. The next batch could go on sale any time between 5/4 and 5/8. I would think it'd be closer to 5/4, but there's no way to know.grizzlybearman said:

max, I think everyone is concerned w/the date/time when pds will actually go on sale, not all the other logistics (though interesting too). Once VapeNow receives the shipment, they decide when they update the website - getting a heads up on that would be insightful, even it is an hour's notice. (Sadly, I wasn't one of those last week.)

I think it's worth mentioning again, to all those who are considering getting the PD, that they do their homework and make sure that this is the vape for them. It's not the best choice for everyone. I'd just hate to see the expectation level to get set so high, that all the discourse that we experienced earlier doesn't raise it's ugly head again after the first few shipments are released.

My point was that nobody on the forum has inside info, and thus this is not the place to ask. We don't even want any suggestions for vapenow as to how the owner should run his business. Any suggestions about improving info on availability should be directed to the contact page at vapenow.com. This thread is about the PD, not about how to get one. If members want to brainstorm methods of improving the situation at vapenow, The Vapor Lounge, where pretty much anything goes, topic wise, is the place. Not here.
BTW, one final comment on the buying policy at vapenow during these times of high PD demand. They can't restrict a customer to one PD per shipment, just one per transaction. So if time allows, one buyer could buy multiple units from one shipment. At least no one will be able to scarf up multiple units with one transaction. The quantity can't be changed from '1' to '2' or whatever.

Sorry to quote something that is burried 11 posts back, but I wanted to add something that may also be helpful
.If you happen to have an 18.8 GonG piece that you want to use with the PD, but do not want to buy a glass adapter for. You can use thick rubber grommets like those you can find at the hardware store.
I think I even mentioned previously that a snippit of silicone (etc) tubing can help make a tighter seal and make the PD compatible with pieces that do not have a pull slide at all (if you let about a 1/4 " of rubbery tubing hang off of the end of the PD stem, it can seal around the hole at the bottom of any bowl punch fairly easily).
