I wasn't suggesting there was a problem with the PCB. I only stated that the screw that holds the heater post is mounted directly on the PCB and that FR4 is functionally rated to 130'C. That is because the substrate is glass and epoxy. No one knows what temperature the post gets to and I don't know the transition temperatures of the epoxies if it even applies. So I never once tried to suggest this was problematic. I put forth the information I could find and presented it. Knowledge is always a good thing.

@LabPong - [removed due to error in thinking] Best of all worlds is if the backside of the PCB is a large gold plated region with no solder mask. Still haven't seen what the heater side of the PCB looks like.

Don't you have a Tinymight? Have you use one?

I am not sure if the PCB even gets warm at all...and I do not think there is much heat conducted to it from the main screw. In fact....I would like to see someone insert a heat probe in there and test temps on bottom and top of PCB.

Edit....I forgot to mention...I only use in on demand mode. If you use the Tinymight in Session Mode...it might be a different story with heat inside the lower part of the vape.

-When- Allison gets her stock I'll have one. And you know I'll be putting a probe right on that. As well as understanding the heater sub-assembly.

I hope we’re not headed for another materials safety discussion as that would require it’s own thread.

That said, I performed multiple burn offs and disassembled both of my TM and cleaned thoroughly before use and did not and have not perceived any off putting tastes or smells, That said I suspect we will learn in the coming years and decades a great deal about what in vapor form is unhealthy.. heck perhaps wood will turn out to be toxic because of all the chemicals that leach to trees. In the interim I am happy to continue vaping with my TM, it rocks!

We were discussing the need, or possibly not needing a seal at the circuit board and the chamber. I was only trying to give some input to that discussion. I still suggest a thin silicone seal could be incorporated to seal off the electronics for those who have aversion to this.

I respect that, but man you’ve been trying to troubleshoot ‘potential’ issues with this vape for pages now and you do not even have yours yet. No offense meant, but this is a bit like putting the cart before the horse.

It also does not really help here as I do not believe Ville pays any attention to this thread.

No silicone please. I will taste it no matter what, that stuff should not be in the air or vapor path at all. If anything, some of that yellow electronic tape most use to seal off electronic gaps with .

I hear that. But we could add it as optional side-grade #4.

@YaMon - I will have one but the idea is not for Villa, it is for anyone that does aftermarket gadgets for vapes. None of what I suggest takes anything away from the TM. But we all customize when we can. That is where I'm coming from.

Please do not engage in materials safety discussions in a device thread. If you want to talk about the health concerns about "airflow over the electronics" or the safety of silicone, please start a thread in the Medical Discussion subforum and avoid specific models. Thanks for your cooperation.

So, for anyone owning a Tinymight, is there an other vape you are using besides it? And why aren't you using the tinymight in that case?
My RBT Splinter Z I used recently for comparison as it’s been growing dust since the TM arrived. I also have at the ready an Arizer ArGo and Vivant Ambit, both of which I would more happily loose or surrender as opposed to my TM!

Daily I use a NewVape FlowerPot, which I highly doubt will ever be unseated from it’s thrown status of being my favorite vapor of all time.

i write the TM-dude last week
I just asked when the next TM will be available again because I wanted to know since I can't pay and then I have to wait 1-2 months for example. I just only wanted to know. Then I said that I am a cannabis patient which used a new vaporizer, then he needed them and he still has a few lying around and for medical patients he would be available immediately. but for today no answer if he can ship it out on monday.. tomorrow i will email him..

i just want to know what i am at and if there is a delay due to Covid 19 or anything else i understand. but no answer is rude or bad service. the answers were always short and sweet ...

Edit: maybe the Tetra P 80 is an better option.. i will study later about it

@dynamonster – I think it's a good idea to be patient these days. I know it's not always easy (I myself am waiting for four different vape thingies (~550€) these days...), but pretty much everything is heavily delayed at the moment. Give him some time, I'm sure he'll get back to you as soon as he can.

@Glatch – I'm still using my Omni XL mostly (the only other device I own at the moment), just because it gives me a different experience.

Both of these have substantial waits, both of these are one-man-shows so emails are sporadic and can take days if not more without response, so if you have problems with that then these are probably not the vapes for you... From your post it sounds like because you are a patient you are trying to skip the line and get one shipped less than a week after you order? Maybe I misunderstood, maybe there was a typo in your post... in any case you're not charged until your TM is ready to ship, which yes can take a month or two, at least how it's been.

Bummer.....got my 2nd shipment try on the glass stem sleeves......

Pulled package out of mail box....heard the sound of what I thought was a BB9 or a rattling fishing lure I like...lol

Oops.......

Something more than the paper wrapping and a very light bubble mailer are in order for shipping these.

I think this is the thinnest glass I have seen use for any part ever....lol WOW I can't believe they will last long with normal use?

you got that wrong. in my post I just wanted to know what I am at !! I do not want to be preferred !! what can I do for it to say that if you are a patient you will get it immediately? I just wanted to know how long I have to wait. OK? and I only measure people by what they say, if someone says to me immediately ready for dispatch but then 3 days not even briefly to ONLY let you know what you are at ... it was about nothing else

Sorry, in my post I explained how maybe I misunderstood, and your previous post explains that I did misunderstand. Language barriers are tricky! You are fine, not sure why you posted again with this now? but all good my dude!

Different vapes for different purposes, moods, time of day, shirt color, the thread I'm reading ect.

The TM is so quick and efficient, sometimes I reach for another vape that needs more time and fiddling with just for the ritual of it all.

Generally, I use a few different options through the day/night but the TM is the only vape I will leave home with. Unless I'm leaving home for more than a day, then options are welcomed.

I used elev8r mostly around the house, but with the advent of tm, I started changing my preferences depending on the situation.now I can finally take VAPE and this tm with me. due to the speed and efficiency , tm is used every day during the day

i absolutely love it. i love my tm too, but fortunately those two (or any dynavap) compliment each other well. it took me a little to pass the butane threshold (and am using an acohol burner these days), but once you can settle with this particular aesthetic (induction heaters are a popular option too) there is no turning back. fantastic value for all the fun. and it is also worth looking into the dynavap thread from page 1 just to follow the history. an amazing success story.
