Hello Everyone,
Apologies for any unnecessary suspense. Virgil here from GHOST Vapes, some of you may know me as GHOSTTEAM, others I may have helped on formal support tickets. Nerissa did such a great job on the forums for us, I'll do my best to keep up her standard. We'll all miss Nerissa's presence here and wish her the best in her next journey.

GHOST is doing fine, we're in the lab so to speak working hard every day to make the MV1 experience as good as we can make it while working on great things. Know that we're continuing to listen to you all and we're excited and hopeful for the future!

Thank you @ghostvapesofficial aka Nerissa for all your hard work. I was a little concerned about who was going to take over. My concerns are no more, I'm glad you could come join us Virgil! For those that don't know Virgil he's a customer service master and we can rest assured knowing we're in his very capable hands.

I think I was wrong.

My MV1 was malfunctioning and I found out, it was "Stuck in an upgrade process", so I reinstalled the firmware and did this and that until it worked again.

I - from my rememberings - are at version 1.4, which is pretty old and nothing new.

I don't know, why my MV1 was stuck in an update without receiving one.

No worries mate! Happy to see you were able to resolve the problem but I'm a little curious why it went into update mode as well. For what it's worth you can manually put your MV1 in bootloader/update mode which will then prompt a firmware reset. It's happened before where a customer wanted to pair their MV1 but forgot to turn it on first! Just so happens the sequence for pairing is the same as the manual process for a firmware reset. Anyhow, I hope this information doesn't further confuse anyone. Just an FYI. Any questions let me know.

Why would one want to do this?

haha good question one I've definitely asked myself in my head before. But the purpose of it was for those rare cases where connection is dropped during a firmware update and the vape is stuck in eternal update mode. In my humble opinion this is the only time the manual reset option should be used. I go over this in depth on our KnowledgeBase article in case anyone's interested:

Latch is gone start a ticket.......all of my latches that went started that way......if you look in with a flashlight at latch you will probably see.missing teeth that hold latch.....over time of opening /closing causes issue imo.......
