Could be worse, the new S&B Hybrid uses a short burst of the fan like a faux vibration alert and blows a shot of vapor into the air, who says S&B vapes aren't efficient.:)

I hear different stories from different people about which device, Edge or F2, as to which extracts faster/more, is there any reason the actual vapor should be different?

Not that I can 'see' for sure. Nor could I detect any difference with 'A/B testing' (similarly configured vapes, one in each hand, hitting alternately). This was both with dosing capsules (with 2:1 loads of herb and bubble hash......a personal favorite) and 'barefoot' (loading the bowl with herb and using the 'standard MPs' for each.

The next fellow might disagree, but IMO they're basically the same vapor wise. It's nice to not worry as much about battery charge with EDGE.

a different heater in the newer Edge could account for variance among the two

I thought they used the same heater?

It depends on how you define it I think. The EDGE uses SS for the 'element' (the part that gets hot from the current and heats everything else) not the Nichrome (a guess) in F2. Lots of folks object to this material (although happily use it to toast bread or run their hair dryer), but from a Thermodynamics POV it matters not a bit. Heat is heat, now the metal of the bowl gets hot makes no real difference. It could just as easily come from burning butane as Iolite does or even friction as one of the VapMan models does.

Both vapes are 'closed loop', that is the cup temperature is sensed (typically with a resistor that changes value temperature called a 'thermistor') and that (temperature) value is compared to the ideal (called a 'setpoint'). The error signal (difference between actual and ideal) determines the heat added to the system to make up for all the losses. It happens either as an 'on off' deal like your home heater or a proportional scheme like the cruse control on your car. So, same as leaving a window open in your house or hitting a hill or headwind in your car, the system automatically produces more power when you hit your vape. And likewise, faster heatup times are compensated for.

The cup of either vape eventually reaches and maintains the temperature you specify. Therefore, from then on, performance is basically the same as the heat conducts into the load and makes all the lovely vapor?

as @OF mentioned it is the wire or part inside of the stainless heat tube isolated from all internal electronics ETC..... that is different in the two models .. I guess heater was not the correct word used to describe it, thanks

Anyone experimented with smaller bowls? Just use less material? Or a dome screen? Or maybe a concentration pad?

I do not microdose on purpose but the F2 WPA forces you to microdose as it slides into the oven, reducing its size by quite a bit, people use a WPA for bigger clouds and bigger effects, at least HR have copied the One accessory attachment (that was copied from a FC members mod)

Yeah I know about the F2 WPA and other accessories. Was more so asking in case someone has experience with the fury edge the way it comes vs needing a separate stem. Good suggestion that I might try out if experiments with the native bowl dont go well.

you can use de-gummed hemp fiber ( hemp wicking) or cotton or other materials to fill out any herb chamber of any vape and require less cannabis biomass in the chamber

I spent an hour going through this thread, but I'm still confused. Do all the Fury mouthpieces, dosing caps, and attachments work on the Edge? I see that it is slightly taller. I'm asking because after 2 years of daily use, my F2 battery lasts for fewer sessions. So I'm thinking of replacing just the core unit and then using all the mouthpieces, dosing caps and attachments I already own. Thanks.

No. Most do, but not all. The F2 MP is too short to latch, but dosing caps and F2 stems that insert into the oven will work with EDGE. And you get a MP with EDGE that works instead. The stuff that comes with EDGE of course works fine (and has more capacity than the stems from F2 that are small enough to fit the oven). The new bubbler, for instance, holds lots more.

Confusing enough?

the fury2 glass attachments all slide into Fury edge herb chamber like on the Fury2/.... I recommened getting the new WPA for the Edge if you order one and like to vape on water... PS, much better than Smoke on water

I haven't been able to find if this question has been asked: does the POTV One's water pipe adapter work with the Fury Edge? I'd prefer to not lose chamber capacity by using Healthy Rips' adapter (which sits inside the chamber).

Hi! The accessories attachment on our FURY EDGE does not sit inside the chamber - the glass attachments (including the WPA) slide into the accessories attachment and seal above the chamber, giving you the use of the entire chamber. However, our FURY 2 glass attachments including the WPA do slide inside our FURY EDGE chamber if you prefer to use it that way.

We hope this answers your question :).

Thanks for the clarification. Any idea where I can purchase one of these in Canada? The shipping charge from your facilities costs more than the WPA itself.

here's one place I like;

Hi! There are several shops in Canada that currently carry our FURY EDGE including this one mentioned and https://vapenorth.ca. You might want to reach out to them and see when they will be stocking our FURY EDGE glass attachments. If you decide to purchase a FURY EDGE WPA from our website - it is only $10 shipping to Canada for all of our products - you might want to bundle up a few things :).

I've just move several posts comparing the Edge to the other models to a new thread in Ask FC. We frown upon direct comparisons in a vape-specific thread so please try to avoid it and use Ask FC for that type of discussion.

Thanks.

:peace:
Can you post a link to that thread, please?

Hi @HealthyRips.com, It is almost a month that the Edge is on the market. Please could you indicate to me if you are already aware by when your newest vape will be available in European e-shops / market (if at all?) I contacted Vaposhop (I understood it is your EU commercial partner. Only shop selling F2 and related accessories) and they answered today that they don't even know if they will sell the Edge at all. Please, what are the planned options for EU market beside ordering from US?
(I hope I do not break any forum's rule by posting this question here)

I've got an Edge on the way via PuffItUp. Any first-use/beginner tips worth sharing? Are burn-offs a good/bad idea with this vape? Can all parts be cleaned with an ISO soak?
First charge it for at least 3 hours (to prime battery)
You should wipe out oven with ISO q-tip and give it a couple of burn offs. I like to put in some AVB, run oven at 430 and give a few good exhales through the holes at the bottom.
I also like to soak the mouthpiece and glass and screens in hot soapy water. Make sure to rinse well as soap tends to stick to silicone if you aren’t diligent.

The rest is easy - fill the oven - don’t over tamp (to keep air flowing) and hit away!
Enjoy! Let us know how it goes.
