I haven’t run mine to empty, but I have gone a few days between charges. Would estimate I have done at least 50 heat cycles without tapping it out.

PSA: Randall recommended on IG today not to fire the atomizer back to back because it would inevitably burn them out.
So no sesh mode? Basically designed for a single person use?

I mean, you get some nice dense hits out of a single click. I don't think it's unreasonable to wait 45-60 sec to click again, maybe even lower the temp a bit to compensate for heat retention.

I would gladly welcome a sacrifice in how long it takes to heat up for the health & longevity of the atomizer (somewhere in between the Dr Dabber Switch & the Peak).
With the current model & atomizer it seems like their should have been protection implemented on the unit to stop multiple rounds of firing within a specified "cooldown" period, if this is indeed what is causing all the atomizer burnouts that have been reported (& that I've experienced myself).
Once the app is in the hands of everybody & functioning correctly, it will be easy to also limit the duration the atomizer is firing/staying hot for, as this may also play a role.
It would be cool if we could control the saved preset on the unit for temp/duration, as I believe the v2 unit's starting temp of 500 is fine, but 550 would have been more appropriate for both low temp/vapor production.
Aside from level 1 & 2, as others have mentioned, the other levels are fairly hot & unusable with most concentrates.
Apart from all of this, still love my Carta and the new Helix piece that have arrived! Looking forward to the future, and everything @FocusV implements next.

So, my V2 arrived today and I also got my shipping notice for my replacement glass, I can't wait to try the Helix! I taped my original to keep a seal, but it wasn't worth the hassle.
My Pre-Order with V2 atty has been chugging along nicely for some time. Battery life has been pretty good for my usage. I've had very few problems with the V2 and it's different resistance, until today, go figure. But as always, drop the batteries, loosen and re-tighten the atty and it's usually good. But sadly, she'll be dormant now.
I haven't seen a huge direct difference from the PreOrder to the V2. The temps are different, we're locked onto 2 for the moment. I like the quartz bucket, and I've had no spillage..... I guess that means I haven't pushed it hard enough!
It'll be great having two sets of batteries, this is turning out to be a great train to have jumped on early!
Now if only this new helix dome has some color!

So, I got my V2 today, how can I get it connected to the app? If there's a manual idk what I did with it.

If you have android. You can go to the focus website and try to install the app. Very hit and miss so far.

Okay yeah I did that and nothing is showing up for me, I was wondering if there was anything you had to do to put it in pairing mode or something.

So I’ve been enjoying my Carta V2 the although I’ve been through 3 atomizers in two weeks. No more b2b for me. What has helped take my experience to the next half level up is I swapped the stock quartz for the Eternal Quartz Dr. Dabber Switch short insert. Fits perfectly, function was so more efficient and I could play with the temps a lot more. The insert was not very good in the Switch so glad it found home. Just thought I’d put it out there for anyone looking for a quartz solution.

The only thing I see is an add for it coming out 4/20/19, I can't wait and this thing is working lol. Is the link active for everyone? I even tried dropping my VPN and exposing my IP to the world thinking maybe that was it, but I'm at a loss!
Has any one the app I could sideload for Android 9.0? Has anyone gotten 9.0 connected?

I had seen that link so many times, but because my pointer never changed state like a link, I never clicked it. Then, I see your post while on my phone and had to hit it to see......
Now to see if I can get it to work with 9.0, otherwise, I can keep going back in steps to 4.0!

No apparently the v1 does not work with the v2 atomizer. They said there where releasing more v1 atomizer for sale discounted but ive yet to see anything about it since.

No. Don't spend any amount of money for a beta unit. Whoever's trying to sell you one is honestly kind of a jerk. They won't work with the app, which means you can't adjust the temp. And most people have had trouble getting them to work with the updated atomizers, which means you can only use the bad beta ones, which won't be available forever.
Don't try to pawn your beta units off on people. Come on.
Speaking of which, that other guy never reached out to me. So if there are any glass blowers who would like a free beta base to use as a mold, hit me up.

Thanks for the advice
So I received my replacement atty which looks slightly different than the one that comes with the unit. Anyway went to fire it up on level 1 with quartz and brightly glowing orange ceramic and super milky burnt taste on level 1! Super charred at the bottom, have to think its my unit overheating these attys. Hopefully I can get a replacement since the website is now showing out of stock! Anyone else have a similar issue with their carta, burnt overheated taste?
