Okay BOTH OF YOU (please) Lets keep this topic on topic please. I just learned of watercuring because of this thread, and now expanding on that to encompass ABV and its results - That is the bottom line of this thread.

If you want to debate whether this could be 'harmful' or if the 'water is RoHS compliant' or whatthefuckeverelse, then make a new thread about it. - Im curious at the results of THIS. I think that just about everyone here is aware of an inherient risk we take when we consume cannabis whether its smoked, vaped, eaten, shoved in your ass, whatever. Thats not what we are debating here :)

EDIT- To keep this topic on track... :p

You are doing a watercuring of your ABV that you plan to cook with correct? Are you doing any other side by side testing to evaluate the potency of the different methods? Im sure that most of us have become comfortable with a certain method and dont really have any reason to tinker with what works. Id be REALLY interested to see if an extra few days and some soakage of my ABV will make my edibles that much more potent.

well, no there is no control experiment. BUT i will examine both pre-watercured and post-watercured abv under a 100x microscope and see if the THC population is more dense in one or the other.
Hmmmm, interesting... But if im not mistaken, isnt a good portion of the THC 'gone' from vaped bud? (Leaving it CBD/CBN heavy)

This is an interesting topic and I look forward to your results. Hell, I may just give this a whirl sometime down the road.

Yes, depending on what vape, must of the THC will be out of the abv, but remember there are hundreds of cannabinoids, if not more that are in cannabis, so who knows how much more is left, there is also different THC's as well, not just Delta 9, there is Delta 8, THC-V, and 11Hydroxy THC I believe. Those are the ones I've heard of, but who knows :).

i will no longer be updating this thread. if you want to find out more, start a thread in the General Vaporization forum and i will contribute there. otherwise, you can also PM me.
So because it was put in Ask FC you are no longer going to contribute to this thread? That saddens me a bit, but it is your decision...

Thanks for playing

How selfish to stop posting. It was put in Ask FC so everyone could contribute, not mention that the title of the thread is a question.

It's not like they deleted your thread. Vape a bowl and enjoy the forum for what it is.

sorry can't help it - anyone else but me think what the mod said regarding "Public discussions of staff decisions are not permitted on the site." seemed very "1984"?
You had a tiff over logic earlier in this thread, would it not be logical to read the rules of this site before continuing to violate them? Please go back & re-read the forum rules.

Combusche... We're really a nice bunch and your contributions are welcome. Just relax and get to know folks, you'll see the site really is a great knowledge bank with some pretty decent folks hanging about :)

This idea and experiment are too kick ass to spoil with such a ridiculous derail. I want to hear more about the water curing process and results, as everything I ever did with ABV tasted like shit.

I'm with you on this. Though I also believe the question of mineral depletion is valid also. It isn't so much for the original question posed, but having this information can help aid others, who care, in making a more informed decision about trying this method.

I know just using a little abv to vape hash oil in my Zap doesn't have a pleasant taste. And if minerals are depleted and necessary, I guess those concerned could get those minerals elswhere.

I am planning on trying to make bho (is it bho if using abv?) for the first time and I decided to use my the first few times for practice. So I'll try the water curing before hand. It may be a while but I should also be able to make two batches, one water cured and the other normal. I'll post when I do it.

Id be interested to hear your results Reece. It kind of hit me the other day (And I may try this with my ABV) but when I first made a tincture out of my ABV it wasnt the most pleasant smelling (or tasting) concoction. I think I might try a batch of watercured ABV followed by an ethanol wash for consumption.
Swampwater tweaks my melon and if I can help whack the taste I think I might be golden :p
