I just saw that Augusthaus was online in IG and streaming so i joined and dropped 2 Q‘s

Will there be a AugustHaus coil for the new Liger Air ->

He said existing one will fit :D

Any plan for a 230V coil ->

No, maybe in the future :)

He told to ME a few weeks ago that he intends to release a 220v version of his Kube and then he will säle 220v versions of all his coils too.

Mb and thx, skimmed right over that.

What cap were you using with the 20mm quartz? Wondering how you found the taller insert affected your cap if at all.

Sorry for not replying sooner, I'm currently traveling for work this month. I'm using the gordo riptide bubble cap with my 20mm Liger. I also have a cheap china bubble cap. Both caps hit the insert walls if placed at an angle regardless of size of the insert. All you have to do is center it to drop in correctly. So the larger side walls doesn't affect the cap what so ever. Other than touching it at times.

I also have the 30mm quartz insert and use the wierdeer cap or chadbro terp trunk v2. But I didnt like the taste of the quartz on the 30mm. Very bland tasting compared to obsidian and sapphire.

So the Liger has been back in the rotation the past couple weeks and it's been a joy to use obviously.

I thought I'd share my adventure into the high temp zone and how the Liger is GREAT at it. I've been using very high temps with The Flower Pot so I was curious how higher temps would be on SiC using the Liger. I have the PID set to 700. It used to be at 585. Well I was really amazed how good this dab tastes and the effects are certainly stronger than lower temps. It's pretty smooth too. It's not hot enough to chaz and you can finish huge dabs in one pull like a champ.

Try it out, it's fun and even tastes good. :D

For anyone with a kubeone august had a live earlier, mentioned the iOS update will be handed off to apple tomorrow and hopefully show up in the AppStore within 24hrs.

Looked like you will be able to create "profiles" as well as selecting some preprogrammed options like the augusthaus coil for the 30mm liger.

I'll add he said the android port was in the process and sounded like it should be only a few weeks.

Glad to see you came back. I have been on a Liger kick myself lately.

I've been dabbing at 610F lately on sapphire only because I forget to change it back to 485F. I use 610F for my 20mm xl quartz. The dab hasn't been bad. I went back down but not to 485 but to 515. The higher temps do get you higher and finishes all dabs in one hit. My only issue with that is that it almost had a burnt taste from the high temp.

^^^ I'm also running an AH coil (sapphire and obsidian inserts) @ either 590* or 610*.
Full vaporization (pretty much) on first hit; very small clean-up hit.

I mean to say obsidian. We’re on like identical setups. I have 2x 20mm sapphire inserts and was so careful with both. They both still have cracks forming. I decided to go obsidian for durability when I got the big boy, but I’ve since read the flat coil shaped insert is a lot stronger...so I’m gonna get a sapphire insert.

Waiting for Liger Air to drop so I just have to wait the one time.

Does anybody know anything about the Air other than it uses the same shroud interface and coil as the flat coil 3.0? Pics? Release date?

I have settled on 585 - 590 with my 20 mm Liger V2 with Obsidian. I may vary it a bit depending on the concentrate type, but this is really kind of a sweet spot for me.

Measured dab surface temp at 585 F on the controller is 545 F.

That's what makes me wonder about those who went to a 25mm quartz setup, I just don't see how quartz could transfer enough heat to finish dabs in one rip like that without chazzing it all up. Everybody uses concentrates differently though so its hard to say. I know a bunch of terp-head puddle boiz who think the more oil you leave IN the cup the better haha.

Here is what i know from talking to several people. Less than two months away by now i heard. It uses the 30mm flat coils only, 30mm inserts only and i didnt know about the shroud. Its approximately 50% lighter with less material. No pics or drawings. That is about all the info that has been mentioned. I havent heard anything about carb caps for it either.

They did redesign their dabbers a bit. I got one and i like it a lot actually. Enough to use it over my complete set up newvape dabbers. Ill take a pic of it later tonight and post tomorrow.

I bailed on the 25 Gavel banger set up as i couldnt see myself spending another $600 plus for a new controller, coil and banger to dab off of quartz. I picked up both quartz for the liger instead and liking the 20mm XL but not the 30mm quartz.

I heard somewhere that the Air liger will be able to use the existing AH liger coils as well but cant remember where i heard that.

I was following the whole 25mm banger thread and just cant see it being better then a liger with obsidian. I have the 20mm xl quartz too and the taste is good and the extra height keeps the 20mm liger cleaner, obsidian just taste so much better. I have my temp for set at 605f which is about 495ish at the dish and i find its the perfect balance of taste and cloud for small dabs (0.1-0.3)

Question to the 20mm xl quartz bucket users, it would seem the design forces the entire bulk of the vapor up over the top and around the back to actually flow into the condenser tube, Im assuming this is correct during usage but my question is how fast does it build up on the outside of the bucket? if the units shipping are the same as in the pictures it would seem literally impossible for it not to "contaminate" for lack of a better term, the outside of the insert and inside of the bucket....ending up in a stuck insert. Does this seem to track with what you guys are seeing? Im a big fan of deeper buckets and inserts but not if the cost is a dirty insert on the outside.

This is why I got a flat coil setup eventually. It is MUCH CLEANER if you take anything above a small dab. It would get blown up and over the walls by my bubble cap because of the powerful seal. Huge messes. My inserts would get stuck all the time. 30mm is so much cleaner. My insert hasn’t gotten stuck, let alone a drop on the bottom (looks pristine) over a lot of dabs. Sucks that the caps aren’t just there yet but the most recent generation of glass and ti caps are pretty solid.

Just from experience. Speaking of the 20mm inserts. The obsidian get stuck inside the Liger on a dab or two. But this has the tightest fit inside the bucket. My sapphire can go 3-5 dabs before it's stuck. The xl quartz has yet to get stuck inside once. And I have used the shit out of it as it's been my go to insert while I have been traveling for work because I wanted to try it and it is the cheapest insert in the event I dropped it or broke it during my travels. The insert stops right at the hole. So it's not blocking the hole at all. Not causing any reclaim to build up inside. I haven't noticed any more reclaim in my drop down either.

One issue I am having with it is the top half of the insert has so much carbon build up I can't seem to clean off easily.

I don't know what's wrong with me but my 30mm obsidian always gets stuck inside my flat bucket. And I have so much carbon build up under and around the insert. I blame the wierdeer cap for that as the hole is too large and blowing too much oil out of the insert.

I like the 20 for taste and thinks it's definitely worth the extra work.

i just reached out to coojoglass. He says he's currently busy with a couple of projects and can only start working on the caps in a week or so. He gave me a quote of one for 30 and two for 50, so I signed up for two of them and told him to surprise me with the colors.

I asked him for this price as he said he had two left and he said he didn't do that.

He said $45 is his selling price. I'm gonna get one with the smallest hole and hope for the best.

I only recommend high temps using the SiC. Taste goes fast the hotter you heat up sapphire. SiC is perfect for high temp dabbing. Sapphire is best for ultra low temp IME. No burnt taste at all.

I've had my Liger 2.0 for about 18 months and no....my insert does not get reclaim on the outside nor have I had it stick yet. YMMV.

Cheers

I have been using HTFSE to test flavor, vaporization, and ease of q tipping with the 30 mm obsidian. 540-580 has intense flavor and takes three hits to clear a .1. There is not problem cleaning, and your wax turns a golden brown to dark brown. At 580-610 it takes 2 hits, and your cue tips are now chocolate brown to black at the tip, some burnt tastes at the end of the hit may be present. At 610-650 you vaporize a .1 in one strong hit with a wispy trailer. It can taste burnt at the end, and the taste becomes less nuanced. Cleaning is difficult and you might not get all the oil off, forcing you to drop to 275 and get out the DI water. I have been camping at 640 due to the intensity of the cloud, finding the flavor to be acceptable even compared to the 540 hit. All of this is with a High 5 box with maybe a 40 degree delta.

I have not that glorious funds to afford a full AH setup just to use the coil. I am not so sure the AH would work with a High5 box either, or I would get just the coil and shroud. It is with a standard High5 flat coil that I expanded to fit tight inside the heat shield. No K type thermo, but it boils water very well at 270.
