So it really IS just a wax pen after all? Atomizers need replaced?
sort of there's an atomizer with a ceramic dish that heats up the ceramic bucket and yes the atomizer will need to be replaced eventually I would imagine

I got the rainbow light last night. It was a bad connection. It happened after I first took it apart and cleaned it. I just kept taking it off and screwing it back and eventually it found it’s way back and worked. Haven’t had an issue since

So the investment will increase over time as you need new parts. Not a sound investment at all. Thanks for taking one for team early adopters.

You're welcome.. Needs electricity to charge too, so you might want to factor that into the investment cost as well - unless you have solar.

This is gonna sound real dumb but how do you torch the bucket to clean it? Like just hold a torch to it for a minute and use iso? That’s what I’ve been trying and it’s not workin

@stonedhammer I held the bucket with a pair of pliers and torched clean. I set it aside till it cooled down and then tossed it back in for more dabs =)

I tore the atomizer apart to see whats under the hood and if you are getting rainbow of death. Check the inside heat pad to make sure it has not gotten twisted and caused the 2 wires to touch. If they touch, they will short out and I can see how swishing the insert with a qtip could cause the pad to twist and short out.

Here are pics of my tear down for reference:

This is exactly what happened. The two wires looked basically wrapped together. So I just separate them and lay them flat to put the ceramic coil back in? I didn’t really see a hole or something else to direct them

When you put the heat pad back in. You will want to have one wire against the edge and the other in the middle. This is for the red piece of silicon to keep them apart. The last thing to do is insert the brass pin back into the silicon and you should be set. That should keep the wires from touching and get you back in business =)

Ok I know I sound like an idiot I’ve just never done anything like this and I didn’t want to break it haha. I understand one wire in the middle where the hole and silicon and brass pin go. But what edge do you mean for the other wire? Like just the outer metal where it all lays on? Sorry for all the questions but at least someone has figured it out

I found a new video review of the Peak with a 15% discount. So now the question is how much value in time is comparable to $38? The reason this is the question is because I can order now for $323 with the 15% off or wait until Puffco has a 25% storewide sale on 420 like they do every year and get it $38 cheaper at $285?

You could buy it now for $399 Canadian from Planetvape.ca, a sponsor of FC. $399 Canadian is $308.25 US.

Nope it’s way faster and more even in my experience, it’s not as thick as the ceramic cup is.

So two quartz cups are still thinner than the stock ceramic cup? Seems like a weird design choice on PuffCo's behalf. Are you running it on max power to make up for the low quartz conductivity?

It sounds like there will be an assortment of inserts and glass attachments as time goes by.

Eternal quartz is making quartz inserts to replace the default ceramic. I have 2 coming in this week and will report my findings. So far I find green, red, and white are all great settings and the main takeaway for me is the higher I go in temp, the more vapor I will get.

2 of my buddies got the peak and they are smitten with it. Just smitten!!!!!

This is really a sweet unit. Just the fact that its extremely user friendly is a big plus. No heat generating out to burn yourself on and any rookie dabber can feel like a pro when using it.

I am looking for a good cap though......

Someone needs to make extra tough versions of the glass and carb cap for out and about use. I'm excited to get my hands on one but I dunno how I feel about concentrates. I think bho feels like a shadow of what bud does at least to me. I like it but prefer bud and I guess double Deckers over it alone.

So with the second Quartz Cup combined they end up a little bit thicker than the Peaks ceramic cup. I use it on the lowest temp actually as it transfers heat a whole lot faster than the slow to heat up ceramic. This Quartz Cup I think will be good for dropping other, smaller cups filled with concentrate. The thicker quartz cup from Eternal may require a higher heat setting, and may be better for the load then heat way of using it. I really want to see the inserts CCA710 are working on.
