Multi-brand Novae by TopBond

Wow the Novae came out of nowhere (for me at least)! Pricepoint is interesting (€99,-)

Couple of extra questions @Mike-Topbond:

- I read on the Vaposhop website that the Novae is made of anonised aluminum. What materials are further used?
-How much material holds the oven. 0.1-0.2?
- If it starts as a primarily convection vape and turns into more of a conduction vape, does that mean it can be used as both an on-demand (take one or two puffs, turn the unit off and leave the rest for later) and session vaporizer?

Many thanks!

Edit: More information on the FB page. Read also something about a chamber reducer.

What is the bowl material? - looks a bit like the Flowermate never-get-back-to-clean-white Ceramic, that would be a pitty...
I'd love a bit more detail info, eg size weight...

Sounds like a very interesting device, especially at this price point. I am tempted to order one, just to check it out... Buy my VAS budget is more than depleted. Tough call...

Ordered now a XMax FOG and that device, review/compare is coming soon.
 - perfect, that's exactly what i wanted to ask
My main comparison questions would be the bowl size and the mouthpiece/top stability in the pocket with those magnet lids...
Somehow i could imagine a 2. mouthpiece lid with foldable silicone straw (like the Wispr) would be a nice addition for clumsy people like me sometimes (+more pocket friendly and smell proof...)

I tried to tell that myself and my VAS - 90€ with DC code, that's 15 packs of cigarettes which a smoker kills in 2 weeks... So... let's hope it arrives before the WE  - at least my VAS is satisfied for a while
Let's see how it compares to the fenix mini (pretty fed up with that tiny battery...)
And why is this thread still in the upcoming/unreleased section?

I think they meant that there can be some conduction present after extended use, just like the Fury 2 etc.
The brief reddit answer threw me.
I had this down as a conduction only device like IQ, but this is different then.

This is from Azarius vapeshop (azarius.net) :

TopBond's Novae is probably the best thing that ever happened to vaporizer fiends on a budget (and especially the ones who crave convection vapes). Often praised as "the best vaporizer under 100 euro", the Novae will satisfy the vaping needs of newbies and veterans alike. Not only is it the best low priced vaporizer, it is also the only full convection vape in this price range.

So what's special about this vape? Let us answer with another question: whatisn't?

CONVECTION HEATING
The Novae uses convection heating. For anyone who forgot to pay attention in class: convection heating means that your plant material is heated through hot air, instead of a hot surface (which is what we call conduction). Convection vapour is absolutely amazing; it's super smooth and extremely tasty.

A convection vaporizer requires a slightly different drawing technique than most other vapes. Take long and slow draws, and you'll be rewarded with gorgeous vapour!

During longer sessions, the ceramic chamber retains some heat, which adds a little bit of conduction to the mix. Whether or not you want this to happen comes down to personal preference. If you want 100% pure convection vapour, try short to medium long vaping sessions.

I think the vapor path looks tasty so far and it includes WPA too, nice!
It will be nice if it's smooth and pleasant to use without water too.

Volute of Vapor
Hi FC staff, could you confirm me if the member called @Mike-Topbond is not anymore working for TopBond?

I ask that cause he doesn't got anymore the "manufacturer" tag under his avatar...

edit: after a quick search on the net I didn't found any manufacturer website for TopBond.... is somebody found one?

The waterpipe adapter of the Novae is missing, lets see what the support says
Mine arrived today :brow:, same thing no wpa and no oil capsule as stated on vaposhop's site - but there is no mention about both in the actual manual...

Yes, white ceramic.
I actualy have no scale.

Bowl size is as big as the FOG bowl.
The device turns on easily in the pocket so i don't recomend, the FOG is better in that point.

The Odin reducer adapter fits well!

I had it yesterday in my jacket and it turned on like 4-5 times, just noticed the smell and little heat.
I think the pressure point sould be harder. :)
Haven't tested that yet, but i think u r right, the placing of the button in the middle is bad for pockets/transporting.
Just to check - u can also look through the 5 bottom bowl holes and see through the bottom of the unit?
So far after a couple bowls, first impression would be great taste but whispy clouds :hmm: - a bit too early for definitive evaluation, more testing needed :science:
Edit: - my drawer did not get cleaner so far :D

Finally a shameless double post :D
I'm still undecided and not to shure what to think about it - that's actually a vape category for me
Either my unit is faulty, or the 'isolated air path' claim is false - only air intake i can see is at the bottom beside the battery lap, if i hold it shut i still can inhale pretty easy...:hmm:
The same with yours @MrPatrickMr ?

I think the same I dont know what i should think about it - I also can inhale quite easily

I have actualy big health problems so im not able to go into detail. A teardown would be helpfull :)
