Musings on carb caps.....I do differ with my friend, @invertedisdead. I do believe that the cap reduces internal pressure which results in boiling point depression.

It just does. I'm not saying that you can't vape the herb fully with a higher temp, but for me its far more preferable to drop the temp a bit and cap.

But to each their own and we are indeed all slightly different with slightly different desires and priorities.

@Justpassedu you workin for Newvape behind the scenes? Haha you deserve a promotion man , you also got me hooked on the newvape. Thanks again
Your very welcome . Unfortunately I’m not , just recruiting people to join this special club lol . I figure I can try and help when i see people searching for a particular vape as I know I was once in that situation & if I can reccomend one of the best I try . This way people don’t go wasting there money to find the perfect vape when they can just start with one of the best . Plus it’s the Holidays .

I'm not a physics expert but I believe the hole used to circulate oil compromises the partial vacuum effect removal of atmospheric gases. Just like the old "cut a hole in the straw" prank. I agree that restriction creates change in pressure, but I do question whether lung power is sufficient to create a pressure change powerful enough to reduce boiling point when directional airflow is added.

If you've ever used a mason jar or glass dab container packaging as an impromptu carb cap, it's much better at reducing pressure (thus increasing the partial vacuum quality), but I find it doesn't work as well as a directional flow cap and tends to promote pooling.

Edit: I also find I pretty much only get hot spots with the Showerhead when carb capping. Even at low temps like 626. I don't get hot spots even at 777 uncapped.

I only have the Gen 1 Showercap, perhaps the revision works better?

What did they change about the showercap with Gen 2?

Or are you referring to the lollicap as Gen 1?

Thanks, got it now. Just thought he meant there were two versions of the Showercap

I guess they're both called the Showercap...
I'll stop confusing everyone now.

Hi has anybody from Canada ordered a Newvape flowerpot? I can see what shipping will cost however I am trying to find out what my fellow Canadians were charged for duty when the product arrived. Any help would be much appreciated thanks.

Canada here, Ontario, Ive had 3 NV orders and never had a border fee. Another order coming in today or Monday, Fingers crossed.

@WAM90 Congrats on the FP , looking forward to hearing your first impressions, see you in space.

My new favorite way to use the FP is turn on some tunes, grind up a bit of dry and start loading tiny microdose bowls with just the scoop side of my dabber like in my last video. After a few of these eventually I'll load one and get too stoned to remember to hit it... so it's ready to go next time! Barely use any herb this way, flavors are always fresh, quite smooth since the loads are small.

My Fp had me so messed up yesterday that for some reason i kept going to carb cap the mouthpiece of my glass instead of the actual bowl head before hitting it lol . I like your style homie.

HAHA I've been on a few good ones where I either forget to load the bowl, or forget the bowl altogether and end up trying to fasten the Showerhead directly on my glass joint lol. That usually happens when I'm hitting the Helix beaker, as I still use my CCG SOL rig to hold the bowl for easier loading than a 45 degree joint.

Thats weird capping has always changed the color of my herb evenly. Uncapped hits just get the top center. I use my lolli cap on the shower head so its not a super tight seal.

@invertedisdead Im just curious, what temp ya rockin in this vid?

800F today ;)

I thought I had reached the edge of this vaporizer but I have not. Still nowhere close to combusting.
Real tasty rip, too! The AVB says it all.

This isn't a manual vape, it's an automatic with paddle shifters. You can click it to sport mode and really have some fun if you want.

I'm speechless lol

The FP blows every other vape I've used out of the water by a long shot. The airflow on the Showerhead is unbelievable... It gives you soo much control and lets you vape in whatever way you please. You can inhale slow and steady or really fast, depending on what temperature you choose and if you're using the Showercap. (Not news to anyone here, It's just awesome experiencing it after reading about it for so long.)
I should really preface this by saying that I haven't used several other high end desktop vapes, like others on this thread, but compared to my Mighty, Vapcap, my buddies Volcano etc. I instantly recognized that the vaping experience with the FP is far superior for me. And its getting better every time I use it.

I've been able to take masssive hits without coughing, which is normally a huge issue for me.
I was actually concerned thinking that it would be TOO powerful or harsh for my lungs, but not the case at all. I was so shocked at how much vapor I exhaled on my first hit; it was like a bong toke without the harshness lol.
The flavor I'm getting from bud, that isn't even very fresh, is unreal.
And if you're in the mid to upper 700 range, with a slowish inhale, it's like instant extraction.
Such a fun time lol.

The adjustable bowl is soooo nice. It pairs really well with my D020-d from DHgate. And when i added a single o-ring, that I had from a different vape, it fits the bubbler like it was made for it.

I dunno.. again, no new information here, but my god.
So happy to have this vape. I can't see needing a different one for a very long time.

I just ordered a wooden tray from Amazon that looks like it will be perfect size for holding my enail and all the essentials.

I've been running through a fair amount of herb doing tests lol but it's just so fun to use. Not that I've needed to use a lot of herb though. lol
I'm gonna try some micro dosing tomorrow.

Thanks for your feedback! I am Ontario as well so I am crossing my fingers.

Does anybody know if newvape usually has a bigger discount during Christmas/Boxing Day than the usual 10% they’ve got now?

I have had the 14mm male Shovel Head bowl for nearly a week now. After I had ordered it I did wonder if it would prove to be overkill, I mean my 'old' bowl works fine even if I do have to wait sometimes before I can remove it from my bubbler. I need not to have worried, this new 2 part bowl is great. Does not stick, sits very positively, is larger, silicon grip (doesn't look as nice but far more practical) and does not leak. The double weave screens from NewVape are a perfect fit. A true upgrade in every sense. Since I was ordering I also got the new carb cap, so much lighter and it has a nice ring. Looks like I will have to get myself a new coil for christmas, I love the Showerhead for weed but prefer the SIC for dabs. I am worried that if I do this NV will come out with a Showerhead with a SIC dish and then I will have to buy that as well!

Got to smash some nugs now to tide us over christmas.

I can't decide whether to get the showerhead or the wraparound.

I'm looking for the biggest hits and I enjoy both flower and concentrates equally. I have a basic $100 enail and 20mm coil. Which one works best for me?

A lot of people here have mentioned that the Showerhead made them move on from concentrates completely, because the level of extraction can be dab-like.
After a few days of use, I'm feeling the same way..
If you use flower even just half the time, I'd go with the Showerhead.
