A good lighter is important! The 'venom' lighter that comes with the deluxe dynakit is probably the most reliable lighter i have, and is large visible tank is good.

I think spares are good as losing a part will be very frustrating.

Just be aware that the titanium screens don't always fit the M (I've had them fall out). I would get/ask for the SS screens to be safe..

@youngfart420 FWIW, I didn't realise that the holiday sales at Dynavap are 20% off so that could be significant depending on your order & budget. Likewise, you might feel that you'll happily pass on the savings to get your goodies earlier. Just one more thing, I thought the main difference in the basic kit and deluxe was the screen metal, SS or Ti and the addition of a lighter. I haven't looked in a while. Good luck on your decision and the waiting!

Thank you ALL for your input, All taken into account.. Not 100% what im going to do yet but i'll figure it out.. Thanks every one

I would go with a Ti woody and just get a spare pack of screens and o-rings for the tip. But that is just me....I had an M but didn't care for it. The M has a slightly deeper bowl for a larger load ability....but the Ti has 3 depth settings for the screen. I use the deepest setting on the Ti tip with a regular ss screen as well.

Differences in the M to Ti tips......The M is smoother tasting but the Ti tip allows for better tastes. The M has big draw restriction and the Ti has very little if at all. Also...the SS of the M tip stays hotter longer and the Ti tips cool off and heat up quicker. So with the Ti tips....you will burn/melt less objects like your fingers, carpet, and other things that come into contact with the tip when hot and your all medicated up...lol

I would not worry too much about cleaning like so many other vapes. Cleaning is the last thing I worry about with the vapcaps. They stay pretty clean with flower use actually.....you will be surprised. But if you are doing concentrates...that is another thing which I have no experience in....but I imagine it is much different.

So I would say....spare the $ on the extra kit stuff and get a better tip with the Ti versions. The vapcaps come with a nice tube container anyway.......and any extra stuff you will want to spend money on will be first off.....A INDUCTION HEATER FROM @Pipes here in the forum. This will change the use of your vapcap to something you never thought it could........though you still have the ability to use the torches when mobile and such.

Good luck......

Certainly. Doesn't negate the fact that you're heating up hemp and inhaling particulate...
I use a degummed hemp fiber filter between two CCD screens for the purpose of preventing tiny particulates from entering the condenser. It keeps my condenser surprisingly clean with no tiny bits stuck to the sides, as you would see with no filter.

I'm quite a heavy smoker.. I own a Mighty and Plenty.. Between those two I go thru easily half OZ every week
The Vapcap may significantly change the volume of your consumption. It is very very effective with your bud and you'll likey find that your stash will last much longer.

Does anyone know if the screens last long or break easily
I've had my Vapcaps for two years and I haven't needed to replace a screen. However, it is a good idea to have extras on hand.

is the wax necessary during reassembly..
No. The wax is wonderful for conditioning the wood midsections of the Woody models. The M is stainless steel. You can use the wax to lubricate your o-rings and x-rings to smoothly reassemble but it's not necessary. Any lubricant, even a bit of spit works just as well, and you always have some with you.

how often you clean it
every couple of months. If you use a degummed hemp fiber filter, you can go a long time between cleaning.

Does the VC cool down quick?
Yes. After heating you can toke for about 20 - 25 seconds before reaching the cool down click. After that the cap cools down to finger tolerance in about another 10 seconds.

In the wind, cool down would take place much more quickly.

MAYBE, I don't know do you? But about what amounts are we speaking in comparison to a working place where you have to breath contaminated air the whole day? You should have more concerns about the vapour and it's danger of health damages itself I think.

Yeah, I don't see how byssinosis aka "brown lung" is a legitimate risk. This issue came up on reddit the other day and I likened it to working in a wood shop versus vaping from a wood stem - apples and oranges.

I use a degummed hemp fiber filter between two CCD screens for the purpose of preventing tiny particulates from entering the condenser. It keeps my condenser surprisingly clean with no tiny bits stuck to the sides, as you would see with no filter.

A couple people mentioned their hemp degrading and becoming brittle over time, releasing "whiskery" bits that could be inhaled. If your condenser stays clean then it sounds like the screen sandwich traps any loose bits.

I hesitate to bring this up in this thread, but I gotta say that 2 grams a day is quite a lot of herb to consume in a VapCap for one person. I mean that's like 40 bowls, or 2.5 bowls an hour every hour in a 16 hour day. It is certainly possible, but I would think it would be a lot easier to do in many other vapes with bigger bowls and less efficient mechanisms. The Vapcap, whether by design or happenstance (I'm going with design) is an extremely efficient vape that can make very little go a long way. Combusting 2g a day would be another thing, but vaping 2 g a day in a VC would seem a lot of work...

Maybe I'm just lazy...

I have to hit near two a day sometimes, I usually go through about an ounce every two weeks give or take a few days, but I am probably using much weaker bud than most on here, I get reggie for about 3 dollars a gram if I buy an ounce at a time. I usually do about a bowl an hour, sometimes more sometimes less but fairly consistently throughout the day
Edit: though now that I think about it I've never weighed my bud pre and post breakdown and it does tend to have a lot of stems and sometimes seeds so I probably lose a good 3 or 4 grams of the ounce to that at times

Question: I’m thinking of trying a thin layer of cotton between the two sandwiched screens. Has anyone else tried this? Also, it would seem that the thinner the filler is, whether it’s hemp fiber or cotton, the less air resistence we get when vaping.

I finally had a chance to do a proper photo shoot with my new @phattpiggie stem that I received last week. This is my Christmas present to myself! It is way more gorgeous than the pictures show, and is quite heavy in my hand. This stem is Vapcap jewelry...

Yes it does get old and brittle. I change out the filter as soon as the taste goes off. With a filter in place the condenser stays clean. It never needs to be cleaned.

I've never tried cotton because I have a Dynavap life time supply of hemp fiber. But, yes, I f craft a fine thin filter and float it between two screens, rather than cramming it all together, the air restriction is not significantly impacted.

Wow Mr. Danger, I must agree each one is beautiful but the newest is something else altogether. I love the profile of it and slight flare of the mouth end. Very nice selection for an xmas gift, I'm doing the same for myself thanks to Mr. PP. Your photography skills in nature really shine, one of our really good shutter-bugs in this thread!

whew!!!! miss a couple of days in this thread and you have a lot of catching up to do. i have a question for the lego builders out there. currently i own a Ti Woody-S with the spinning mouthpiece. i want to venture into the world of Omni and also want a vong as well. i also need to be on budget. so if i want to re-use what i have already and just configure it other ways am i correct in the following:

to make it an Omni, all i need to buy is a: Omni Condenser Assembly with mouthpiece and continue to use my Ti- Woody body, Ti tip and cap?

to make it an omni vong and i am already buying a Omni Condenser Assembly with mouthpiece for the above configuration, do i simply add on a vong body like the Blackwood nonavong body and again just use my Ti tip and cap

thanks

GLASS VAPCAP BODY/STEM

Someone was asking about glass vapcap bodies but I can't remember who. They are still available @ Vapefiend.co.uk for £12.50 plus postage. You get the body, condensor and a silicone tip so its a good deal and the omni mouthpiece and TI tip can be used with the body for an XXL TI Glass Omnivap!:rockon::rockon:

Hello.
I'm a new user, sorry for my english but I'm writing from Europe, Italy.

I own a vapcap M and I really like it..I LOVE IT!

I looked a lot after an electric alternative vape as mighty/crafty, but i really don't like to have a not on demand vape, to have not possibility to clean all vape parts get them igenized and bring vapo with me in a air plane journey without problem with airport police dogs.

I also do not like plastic construction and equipment and the "planned obsolescense" of electronic instruments.

Big device with bad portability and not discrete(mighty) or smartphone addicted(crafty) or that get bun in your pocket (grassopher, davinci iq) with little battery autonomy....all vapes on the market still have something i do not love for a personal use like wht I usually do.

Finally i really like vapcap because it is: cheaper, portable, offer big flavour, not smell in my house, and a really, really strong high with a tiny weed amount...i often feel like after a comustion bong gut after the first draw!!

What else?!

So I've decided to buy not another kind of vape(maybe in te future I'll buy a desktop one like vape hexale that seems to be really amazing!)

About my second dynavap, I d like an evolute model of my M also if more expensive.

I've see somewhere one of them with ceramic screen, another one with possibility to screw on the condensr t o adjust vapor amount and other in L size and/or with special material coating like wood, carbon and titanium.

Onestly i do not mind so much on estetic and style, just like to find a better vape experience, like have possibility to adjust screen, a more uniform material hesting etc.etc.

Could somebody tel me which are mainly different from my vapcap M and other, if any, in term of vapor quality?

for exmple which are different material or possbility to screw mouthpiece into condenser as before mentionated.

Somewere i read about put some hemp fiber between two screen as a sandwich and to adjust bowl size and as it may produce a beter quality vape experience ...i must try!!

I read good things about adopting the "mouthpull technique"but i coudn' understand that properly.

I' d really like to find a vapcap compatible bong(i already bought a 14mm silicon mouthpiece but I do not know were I could find a good and small vape bong here in europe, I ' ve not a great culture about.)

Here in italy bong, vapes and pipes use is really uncommon, most of itali adult smokers never try a vape in his whole life..lots of people just smoke joint...probably like in your country some years ago..now we are like pioneeristic.

The positive aspect is that it also help me to improve a little my english skills, watching so many vapes reviews and reading forums like that.

Finally, in the next months, I'd really like to make an inductive heaters ..i have not understand if any of your DIY project use any heat adjustment to convert a dynavap i a fine adjusting medicsl vape or if it would be impossible to do, indeed.

Sorry again for my english, hoping it was fully understble and hoping in some over ocean advices!

Best regards and thanx for sharing!

One love.

Congratulations on your first post here! And welcome to what I believe is the best thread around here.

I’ve got an M and an Omnivap Cocobolo and they’re wonderful. The Omnivap is gorgeous but I’m not sure one vapes better than the other. For me, the key is to get no air restriction so you can get a smoother, cooler vape. You’ll get a lot of good advice here!

I love your spelling of ‘onestly’ and will not count it against you that you left off the “H” at the beginning. Ha Just one of those pesky little English words that chooses to look different from the way it sounds. Honestly...that’s the truth. :D

Have a great time with your vapcaps and conversing with the experts here! :)

Just put an eighth through my new Omnivap, would that be enough avb for a good effect? Never have used avb before...but it's perfectly gold to dark brown and never combusted once since I've had a dynavap they work perfectly

Pricier models don't necessarily give you higher quality vapor, but they do give you more features that can make it easier to produce whatever kind of vapor you like. Things like adjustable screen depth and air flow are great. Being able to swap bodies is also a plus.

Check out dhgate. The cheap bubbler thread will help you navigate it, but that thread is incredibly long so start toward the end - lots of repeat info and links.

And FYI vapcap mouthpieces fit 10mm joints, so you can look for glass with that size joint or use a 10/14mm reducer instead of the silicon mouthpiece. I'm not a huge fan of the fat mouthpiece and prefer the glass adapter.

Hhaha thanx for your kind answer.

"Silent H", last of my daily english lesson!!

Most Romance language speakers actually forget (or are not able TO PRONOUNCE like myself) "H" if that is put at the wods beginning.

But they usually know how to write them correctly.

NOT ME!

Also if I'm pretty adult i still am a poor stoned student so i forgot the right spelling too !!
Twice mistake and not because of this mysterious silent H :)

Speaking about vapcap so, is there no difference between the many available models regarding taste or vapor production?

what tips do you use to reduce the flow resistance? Ciao thanx and good night!!!

Being able to swap bodies
Hi! What kind of plus about swap bodies?

I' m asking about difference on taste or vapor intensity mounting a ceramic screen/a steel or titanium and if any, differences of vape session between an adjustable air flow vapcap and mine...for example i quite ever keep to seal up the hole with my finger during 99% of my draw and I like it also when a little strong, maybe an adjustable airflow vapcap could help me to find the right compromise...
Peace!

For instance, a vong body would let you connect to 14mm water pipe without an adapter. Other than that it’s mostly about aesthetics.

Ceramic screens aren’t used anymore so don’t worry about them. I like stainless screens better as they seem more flexible and easier to handle. I think they also let less material through. I don’t think screens really affect vapor at all.

If you’re covering the air port most of the time then you might not see a huge advantage to the omni condenser, but in theory you could find the spot you like and leave it there.
