Do you mean use with tubing? That would be a downgrade for this design. If that's the style you're looking for, I don't think the Cloud is the right starting point for you.axakal said:the units look great.

Excellent news on the all aluminum. Much nicer feel than plastic. I guess I'll find out about the SG tubes soon enough as I am on the PO list for one

just a question aside. i know, the portable unit must be in early development stages, but does portable also mean small and easy to conceal like the MFLB or is it just portable as in not too heavy to carry around?

Although there is a convenience factor to using a whip vs. holding something like the Cloud, glass is considered to be the best when it comes to vapor paths, and when you consider the quality in the provided Hydratubes, I think you'll be quite satisfied with the design. You'll have an all glass vapor path, like the Vapolution with AIW bowl, but with a huge diameter, unlike the narrow AIW bowl.
@moodswing - the colors are still grey/charcoal, I guess closer to graphite/silver color scheme, I'll take some higher res photos so you guys can see the details when we get the final enclosures, these are just the beta enclosures.
@axakal - we have discussed making a Hydratube that would branch off into multiple mouthpieces that could conceivably be used hookah style. Definitely something I will update you guys on as we make progress but as of now, it is just something that is on the drawing board.
@doubledown - thanks, SM Jr is doing great, she is developing really fast and inspires me to keep working when I'm tired. Nice to have two babies, the Cloud and SM Jr
@m0j0h4nd - we have given this some thought and we are keeping both options open. I think the safe answer at this point is that we would like to work on two kinds, a heavy hitter portable, and a stealthy portable. Being that most of the ingredients are already in place with the Cloud, and the fact that we designed it with energy efficiency in mind, most likely the first portable vape will be a big hitter style. Nothing is set in stone as I will need to sit down with my partners and have a caucus about the pros/cons of each style before deciding which direction we will go. Either way, we will be striving to be best in class in whatever model we go forward with.

stonemonkey55, I think you misunderstood my question. Let me try to clarify what I was trying to say. When manufacturing the Cloud I'm sure you have to make a certain amount of them at a time. Do you anticipate the number to be more than the amount of pre-orders or will there be a immediate wait list to get a Cloud once released?
Again, feel free to say you don't want to or can't answer that. I'm interested in the Cloud but I'm just not a fan of pre-ordering anything.

To answer YOUR question, there shouldn't be a problem as far inventory is concerned. Although I understand that you are not a fan of pre-ordering, we are not taking any payment information so if that makes you feel more comfortable, you can ensure your Cloud by placing the pre-order.

blehh, 14.18 adapters look ugly! Oh well. I will probably stick to all my other tubes for which I can buy an 18-18 dowsntem(and a Hydratree, of course)

@stonemonkey55- Thanks, looks like the portable is pretty far off from now. I guess I'll just have to settle with the cloud, which I'm sure will be great. Two questions though: Will there be a mini hydra tube if so when will it be available? And will a car adapter be available or do all I need is a standard 12v dc car adapter?
