@stonemonkey55, first, it's a real pleasure to make your acquaintance! I'm really looking forward to hitting this bad boy when it becomes available. However, I'm kinda/sorta in the same boat as hydrophillic. I don't "do" Facebook or Twitter. The latter I simply don't like and the former I simply don't trust.

Now that I've found this wonderful place, I'll be here quite often, but might I suggest an email sign-up for those of us who don't "play" the social networking/twitter game? I know email is considered passe, but it really is ideal for this sort of thing.

Let me also add that one of the "pangs" I've had about going from an oldtime bong-hittin' stoner to a vapo-stoner is...what do I do about all that GORGEOUS glass? Well, you guys have taken care of that and I had a dream last night...fueled by some AMAZING Purple Kush (I'm a California MMJ patient, so I'm legal!) of some absolutely ungodly, unbelievable, otherwordly glass and I was taking big, beautiful VAPOR HITS off of it. So, yeah, I'm really looking forward to this.

I know you guys are gonna do this right. Stonemonkey is building HIS ultimate toy, if the engineer is what I think he's like, he's not letting that thing off his bench until it just plain works and the dude in the Italian suit? Man, I don't even want to THINK about pissing him off, LOL. Bottom line, we're all big boys and girls here and I would rather have a solid device a month "late" than to buy one and then be bitching at you guys because it blows up or some-such. I've been waiting for over 30 years for this device...I can wait another month or so for the ultimate.

In the meantime, I will enjoy my little Magic Flight Launch Box. I will say one thing...since I've been vaping, I have been SAVING MONEY! Heehee, this is great!

Same with me for twitter, facebook, myspace or any other social media rather than web boards (such as FC). I do trust you will allow pre orders directly from your website?

thanks

Tom

A question I haven't seen yet is will you allow early purchasers/pre orders the ability to buy 2 water pieces, or is there initially going to be a limit of one set/piece per order?

No worries to all the folks without Twitter or Facebook accounts, we will be updating our site, this forum, as well as all the people that registered on our site when it was still a splash page.

@ganjarunner - what part of California are you in? We're about 15 minutes south of San Francisco. Your dreams parallel mine as well and being a bong guy, I can totally empathize with your feelings when you were/are converting to vapor. A lot of my friends who I could not convert to vapor have begun coming around due to the fact that this type of vapor experience is similar to their smoking experience. Hopefully this will help many others that are on the fence about vaporizing because they don't want to give up their lovely glass collections.

Speaking of glass, went back to the workshop and found these two pieces. One is a stemline before it is gridded, the other is after gridding. I still can't believe Steve managed to get 30 grids in what looks like less than 1 inch! It's gonna be a fun ride to see what tricks Sovereignty has as we expand the HydraTube line in the future.

All:

Robot update time. This ones kind of lengthy so I beg your indulgence.

The website is now accepting pre-orders. We will not take your credit card info until were ready to ship. The primary purpose is to lock in those who get the first 1,000 units and the discount associated therewith. First come, first served lads.

The revisions to the enclosure design docs have been completed. The resulting CAD files have been sent on to the manufacturer. Per the recommendations of some forum members, we have sourced some alternative hardware (e.g., the knob). We understand that we dont have a monopoly on good ideas so thanks for the suggestion.

We had the previously referenced 4 insulation materials in PN3Ks lab. One he ruled out immediately as it (by its specification) cannot withstand the temperatures the heating element generates. The other three look promising its just a question of which one is best. And by best I mean something that is safe, effective, and cost efficient. And while the no one would argue the merits of the first two criteria, the last one is important too. Because if we use some material that totally detonates the cost to manufacture, it will drive the price higher. Which will in turn make the Cloud less affordable. And if no one can afford it, whats the f*cking point? So as PN3K and SM55 will tell you, I control the $ with an iron fist.

Regardless, our objective is to keep the heat to a level no hotter than that of a cup of freshly poured cup of coffee: hot, but hold-able. Stay tuned.

We keep hearing over and over how much you, the community, appreciate the way in which SM55, PN3K, and myself are conducting ourselves as this endeavor unfolds. Ive got to tell you, it makes us feel great each and every time we read it. No exaggeration. So on a purely tangential note, I thought I would share with you one of my favorite business books.

It is titled Rework, by Jason Fried and David Heinemeier Hansson. From it, I have listed its 37 Signals. Theyre all great but the ones that speak most loudly to me anyway are (in no particular order of importance): 1, 5, 7, 9, 10, 13, 14, 20, 26, 29, 32, and 34.

These are the tenets upon which we started VapexHale. And you have our commitment that this is how well continue. Because as #30 says: All companies have customers. Fortunate companies have audiences too.

1) Great businesses have a point of view, not just a product or service.

2) Writing a plan makes you feel in control of things you dont actually control.

3) You have the most information when youre doing something, not before you've done it.

4) Stuff that was impossible just a few years ago is simple today.

5) Failure is not a prerequisite for success.

6) Dont make assumptions about how big you should be ahead of time.

7) Dont sit around and wait for someone else to make the change you want to see.

8) When you build what you need, you can assess quality directly instead of by proxy.

9) Solving your own problem lets you fall in love with what youre making.

10) What you do matters, not what you think or say or plan.

11) When you want something bad enough, you make the time.

12) The perfect time to start something never arrives.

13) Start a business, not a startup.

14) You need a commitment strategy, not an exit strategy.

15) Huge organizations talk instead of act, and meet instead of do.

16) Build half a product, not a half-assed product.

17) Getting to greatness starts by cutting out stuff thats merely good.

18) The real world isnt a place, it's an excuse. It's a justification for not trying.

19) The big picture is all you should be worrying about in the beginning. Ignore the details.

20) Decide. Youre as likely to make a great call today as you are tomorrow.

21) The longer it takes to develop, the less likely it is to launch.

22) Its the stuff you leave out that matters.

23) Focus on substance, not fashion. Focus on what won't change.

24) When good enough gets the job done, go for it.

25) When you make tiny decisions, you can't make big mistakes.

26) Pour yourself into your product.

27) You rarely regret saying no but you often regret saying yes.

28) Better your customers grow out of your product, than never grow into them.

29) You cant paint over a bad experience with good marketing.

30) All companies have customers. Fortunate companies have audiences too.

31) Instead of out-spending your competitors, out-teach them.

32) Let customers look behind the curtain.

33) Leave the poetry in what you make, there is beauty in imperfection.

34) Marketing is not a department, it's the sum total of everything you do.

35) Dont hire for pleasure; hire to kill pain.

36) Dont make up problems you dont have yet.

37) A business without a path to profit is a hobby.

That is all.

First of all: Hi! I'm newly registered, but have been reading this forum for a while and I love the VapexHale and fuckcombustion.com. I just started vaporizing with a vapor genie and now I want to step up to a more professional model and the vapexhale seems amazing. I was trying to pre-order, but the form seems to be for US residents. I live in Amsterdam, so my question is off course: do you ship here as well and is a credit card the only way to pay? Thx!

Pre ordered! Chose the tree hydra tube. Don't know the difference from the shower dome but I'll probably end up picking one of those later as well.

thanks guys, it's been a nice ride and it's only going to get better.

Price is Right rules? Im gunna have to go with 10 days then bob ( i mean drew). But my guess is less than 2 weeks depending on how far the word of FC goes. 1000 is a fair number of units. I wonder how many peeps are pre-ordering 2? or this this against the rules?

Awesome, I'm in for one with a tree!

@stonemonkey55, I'm in San Diego, man! If you're in the area, let me know. Really am looking forward to this! BTW, I chose the tree over the shower head, but I may change my mind before all is said and done. Are we locked into our choice of glassware, or is that simply a way for you guys to get a gauge how many different pieces you're going to need?

I've looked everywhere and i can't find a picture of the hydratree that shows the mouthpiece. Can someone point a blind man in the right direction.

Also can we see a picture of both the hydratree and the showerdome side by side??
