Can't wait to try out the new goodies, especially the revised large cup. I second @OF's request for straight water tool adapters for Hydratubes. I actually only use the dt donut a with Hydratubes and the glass adapter has been the eluding unicorn. So it would be a female part that goes into the v3 base and a male 14mm or 18mm part that will go into the bottom of a hydratube. Imo it's the most natural feeling way to add a water tool to the v3. For some reason using the dt donuts on a regular bong just doesn't feel right. It works wonderfully, don't get me wrong. It just feels off.
can you send me some pics of the best hydratube shapes for the v3 or post them up here, i will send these pics to paul and get that started .
Here is a eBay auction for the black V3 starting at two cents please check in on my eBay store for deals I will have them through the holidays.

I highly recommend the use of Hydratubes to elevate your experience with the dt attys. I started with those little pen vape bubblers and it helped a little bit but it left a whole lot to be desired. The small bubblers would often times clog and the diffusion is lackluster at best. Hydratubes solve everything. Sure I'm not going to walk around with a hydratube but I wouldn't walk around with a little pen bubbler either. I actually have a hydratube that stays in my car that I keep in a wine bottle holder and another stays at home. I love these Hydratubes. I wouldn't put a rig in my car but this is basically the same thing filtration wise.

And if you wanna get technical, larger water pipes are meant for flower. Oil rigs are suppose to be smaller so the flavors of the smoke/vapor from the wax won't get stale. Some even say there should be diffusion but not too much or else flavor is degraded. These aren't the reasons why I got mines but if you wanna get pretentious about it...

The companies selling terpene blends in bulk to "enhance flavor", and their clients, are like the guys who made "15 year old single malt scotch" in 50 gallon drums during alcohol prohibition. IMHO we very simply don't need more fake crap.
I can't stand reintroduced terpenes. Leave Mother Nature alone. I say learn how to extract proper and keep the terpenes. It never tastes right when they try to ad it back into co2 and distillates.

Strong work on the vape tank setup there @Vape Donkey 650 ! Gonna have to try that out myself. I've got a cubis pro mini that I don't really use, just gotta pick up one of those RBA coils & some CO2 oil.

I've been using my v3 quite a bit & really put it through it's paces recently taking it to some phish shows & letting a bunch of friends try it out. Gave pretty minimal instruction, just told people to hold it upright & draw slowly. Everyone liked it a lot & no one (even vape naive combusters) had much difficulty using it.

Finally broke it down for cleaning, probably had close to 1/5th a gram of reclaim down there lol. Haven't really had any leakage with the 2.x, but I use it quite differently than I do the v3. It definitely seems to perform better once the post holes get a little gooped up as previously mentioned. And after a while it does seem to accumulate enough reclaim under the donut to provide a copious amount of reclaim hits. I usually don't do that, but these were still pretty tasty, to a point. I think the way the airflow is set up causes it to cool much more quickly (especially if you continue to draw after you've let off the button) & thus doesn't taste all funky until you really gunk it up.

Disassembly & cleaning was pretty easy, just took it apart & did an overnight iso soak, then hot water rinse. This got most everything off of the mouthpiece and housing, still had to use an alcohol wipe to get a few stubborn bits off though. Hooked up the donut to the base sans cup to burn off the remnants & it now looks as good as new. Burned it clean on 16.5w on my minivolt that I pretty much exclusively use as an ohm meter & for burn offs these days. Thought I'd have to crank the wattage higher (I use 27-28w in TC mode) but was able to get it glowing orange at 16.5 with a little effort. Gotta torch the cup when I get home & will reassemble. No resistance change in the donut post cleaning though.

I'm really excited to try the medium donuts, and may pick up a black v3 as well. Really like this a lot. My only gripes would be the amount of wax that makes it's way down into the base & posts, and having to use the screwdriver to remove the base. If I had a more stable concentrate I'm pretty sure I could load it by just removing the mouthpiece, but this PHO is sticky as fuck lol. The blackberry kush wax is a little easier to deal with, will try & load some of that with one of the included silicon tipped dab tools with the base still attached tonight, don't think it'll be too difficult.

I also think a hydratube of some sort would be great! Although it hits really smoothly at the temps I'm running now (28w, 380F, TCR=245 on a vtc basic). Easily the best wax vape piece I've tried!

Can anyone comoment on the difference between the v3 and v2.5.. especially on the leaking
The main difference is the donut size. Significantly larger on the v3, though different sized donuts will be available soon. The v3 is also able to be fully disassembled, which makes getting it "like new" clean is now possible. W/R/T leakage, the only way I've ever had a v2.x leak was if I overloaded it & some wax climbed up the side & into the airflow holes & then down the base to the 510 pin, and that only has happened once or twice. The v3 has airflow & wire lead holes in the bottom of the cup so some concentrate is almost certainly going to get down there every time. However this isn't as much as a problem as it would seem. The v3 functions a little better when some gets down into the wire lead holes, and the leakage from the airflow holes isn't that bad and can be mitigated with cool down hits (though perhaps putting the hole in a convex dimple could reduce this?). Hope that helps!

I am ok if there is leaking on the inside but my v2.5 leaked out the bottom which was a pain. Also can someone comment if the bowl / cup is larger than the 2.5. I have an yocan Evolve plus and that bowl is huge but can be a pain when loading as my BB size wax ball gets stuck on the side

I don't see a way for reclaim to get out of the bottom of the v3, whereas the 2.x had that hole in the 510 pin that reclaim could seep out of if enough leaked into the base. It's really difficult to get it to do that, but not impossible. And the v3 bowl & cup is substantially larger, though they are releasing some different sized cups soon. Currently I think they have medium and large cups. IIRC they are working on a small one that would be the same size as the 2.x

Also you can take apart the V3 and clean where the V2 versions were not as serviceable. For me I prefer the larger cup and have found it easier to load. The big thing I have to remember is not to overload due to seeing the extra space in the dish. =)

Is there any way I could get a replacement donut for my v3 I already broke the 3 that came in the box :/ I emailed and PM'ed @divinetribe but haven't heard back yet. Just wondering if there was a direct link that I had possibly missed. Thanks!

Whoa how did you do that? I'm using my original donut and I've gone through, idk, way pass 15g of shatter and going strong like new. It even has its original resistance. Are you blowing it out in tc mode?

Yep, first one I opened up and the thing had just straight exploded into a million pieces, cup too, was crazy! Was only at 310 TC on a eleaf40 on that one. Second one I just accidentally broke one of the wires while cleaning. Doh . The third one I broke during cleaning aswell, but this time I had it on 500 tc trying to burn off some gunk from some real low low low low low grade wax I had, broke right in two :\

Long story short I say they where all user error and there are defintly no hard feelings! I love this thing, just need to know how to get a new one to get her back up and running like new ;)

Oh that's a bummer to hear. I have heard Matt say that all parts for the v3 will be for sale on the site but Idk when. I was curious if you found something strange but these user error situations happen to all of us in the beginning while messing around.

Yes Indeed, if you hear anything let me know, and hey @divinetribe if you want to chime in that would be sweet!

you might wanna email him directly, their customer service is really good. I'd imagine they could send out out some more donuts (possibly in the medium size as well) in relatively short order.

Reassembled my v3 last night. After burning the donut clean & torching the cup I quite literally cannot tell they've been used at all. The resistance is still the same on the donut as well (0.49Ω). I have been getting the new coil up same coil down message on my vtc basic some though, which did not happen before. I'm not sure why exactly, perhaps the wires aren't in the exact same spot. I let it dry for almost 24hrs so I doubt there were any water droplets or anything still in there. And when it does give me the new up same down the "new" resistance is 0.52Ω, so not a huge difference. Weird that it didn't do that straight away after I set it back up though. Planning on using it pretty heavily this weekend so we'll see if it keeps doing that or not. I may disassemble to investigate if I have time :sherlock:

I've got a black v3 & some medium donuts headed my way, definitely excited to try those out! Hopefully they'll get here this weekend so I can run a bunch of wax through them without being all spacey at work the following day

When loading I'm still just smearing some around the donut, haven't tried putting a bb in the middle like with the 2.x due to the way the airflow is set up, and that's working well. Sometimes I'll preheat the donut a little & get a good even coat going, but haven't noticed much, if any, difference in performance doing that vs sticking two globs ~180° apart. However given the stickiness of my current stash some of it does end up smeared around just so I can get it off the dab tool.

this is a draft i gave to paul today for the hydratube fitting for the v3.
also another revision request to the large donut cup
i also mentioned making the mouthpiece a perfect 18mm male shape
I don't have a large stock of revised medium cups so i have not made a ad yet on the site
please email me for those matt@ineedhemp.com
have a great weekend everyone..

Looks great!

So I started messing with my V3 earlier and the cold resistance kept jumping around, kicking the mod out of TC, etc. I disassembled to examine & while the screws were tight they apparently weren't quite tight enough. After tightening them up I'm back to the original, pre-clean resistance & everything is working like new

Ive experienced this a few times before. I have to put my finger on top of the cup and donut and press down so every things level, then screw down nice and tight. Then everything should good to go!

I'm looking forward to that hydratube adapter. It's exactly what I was thinking. I have a lot of experience with Hydratubes and the one you have in the oicture is a good starter for sure. My only suggestion is to make the diffusion holes slits and not small holes. The small holes will most certainly clog after a few times of use. It's true that small holes are needed to properly form bubbles in that small tube, but it Will clog. Slits will make it take a hit in properly forming bubbles but worth it Imo. It's why real Hydratubes are the next step. Where slits will form proper bubbles in a bigger tube

I vote for a simple Pyrex cap for the v3 base in the 2.5 style. It's very simple to adapt to a variety of female hydratube bottoms. Not all of them are exact 14 or 18 mm. A little piece of silicone or rubber tubing over the tip of the 2.5 style pointy cap adapts it to just about any female fitting. And I like transparent ;-)

Fwiw, I prefer the Pyrex cap on my v2.5, and second the notion that one for the v3 would be nice. It helps me teach others to use the donuts when they can see what's happening.

I have like 4 pinnacle pro water tools and 4 Hydratubes. The pinnacle pro water tool are all 14mm and they all fit perfectly onto a 14mm male stand or even 14mm bowls and the same goes for the 18mm Hydratubes in 18mm stands and bowls. Ime 99.9% of advertised 14mm or 18mm are truly that. Generally the female bottom if these tunes are tapered so they are generally universal to account for slightly different sizes. Maybe our experiences differ

Would you still use a Pyrex mouthpiece with silicon band instead of a glass on glass set up knowing that the glass setup would work? Personally, back in the day, I was thrilled when bongs evolved to a glass stem on glass bong without the orings and this adapter for the v3 gives me the same feeling.

I do agree that a Pyrex mouthpiece in the v3 would make it very easily adaptable to many other pieces though
