Why The US Election Will Only Get Crazier After November 8th
In 20 days, US voters will ‘decide’ between the two most hated candidates in US electoral history. Though many will also be voting for third party candidates, the establishment has made it very clear that only one of two options is possible: Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton – candidates which were chosen by only 9% of the US population.
Many Americans, perhaps naively, assume that regardless of who wins the outcome will be the result of a ‘decent, stable democracy’ and that the US political system as it currently stands will continue to be the law of the land until the subsequent presidential elections are held in 2020. Despite the pleasant picture that perspective invites, the reality – as more and more Americans are becoming aware – is that the outcome of next month’s election is already decided. Just as troubling, however, is the fact that regardless of who wins – Trump or Clinton – their opponent’s supporters have promised to unleash all hell.
Trump has long maintained that the system is against him and that massive fraud will take place to ensure his loss in the upcoming election. Considering the fraud of the Democratic primary and the Clinton campaign’s disturbing collusion with mass media, there may indeed be truth to this statement. However, Trump’s openness about this possibility has caused many of his supporters to promise the launch of a full-scale rebellion or coup if Clinton wins.
Dan Bowman, a 50-year-old Trump supporter, told the Boston Globe that “We’re going to have a revolution and take them out of office if that’s what it takes. There’s going to be a lot of bloodshed. But that’s what it’s going to take. I would do whatever I can for my country.” Even Kentucky governor Matt Bevin, speaking in response to a question asking whether the nation could recover following a Clinton win, said
I do think it would be possible, but at what price? At what price? The roots of the tree of liberty are watered by what? The blood, of who? The tyrants to be sure, but who else? The patriots.
Considering that Trump supporters are incredibly well-armed and that Clinton has little support from military members and veterans, the possibility of anti-Clinton violence after election day or after a potential Clinton inauguration in January cannot be ignored...

Former Supreme Court Justice David Souter has maintained a very low public profile since retiring from the bench nearly eight years ago, but Rachel highlighted a 2012 appearance Souter made in New Hampshire, and his remarks on “civic ignorance” are striking in their foresight.
Souter couldn’t have known about Donald Trump’s rise in Republican politics, but that only he can keep Americans safe. Only he can fix the political system. Only he, as Trump put it, can “make possible every dream you’ve ever dreamed.” Only he will “take all of these slings and arrows gladly” so that the “movement” Trump leads can take “our country back.”
This is the same candidate who believes he can prosecute and imprison his rivals, praises authoritarian regimes abroad, and balks when asked if he’ll accept the outcome of fair elections.
Souter warned of a person, with little regard for democratic norms and political institutions, who could come forward seeking power, assuring the public that he’ll solve our problems, exploiting fears and civic ignorance.
“That is the way democracy dies. And if something is not done to improve the level of civic knowledge, that is what you should worry about at night.”

Why would Trump's supporter want to go through the trouble of voting if the system was rigged? Trump again is shooting himself in the foot. Oh I get it! He wants his gun toating minions to guard the voting station with guns.
Just voted and I will be mailing my ballot in tomorrow. What's easier than a mail in ballot.
I think most younger folks don't want abortions to be outlawed. That should be reason enough right there.
Get out and vote or mail your ballots in. This type of an election has never been seen in my lifetime. I'm hearing the Berry Goldwater race was similar, but I was 7 or 6 years old then.

It will narrow. Right now, the narrative requires a Clinton blowout. Then, they will need to claim it is close to make sure those who vote the ticket still come out.

I think the popular vote is still pretty close. It is when we get to the Electoral College where the blowout, if it occurs, will happen.

I've always been in favor of a split government, that is, different parties occupying the senate and congress and the reason is that I think a split like that guarantees the checks and balances that are necessary for the best outcomes. But..........this ONLY works if negotiations can take place and we've seen over the past 8 years what happens when gridlock occurs and absolutely NOTHING gets done due to lack of negotiations.
Well, that can all change within the next few weeks because there is a good chance that one party will head up the presidency, the congress and the senate.
Again, typically I would state that this is not a good thing but all things considered right now, I think it's a VERY good thing because finally, we'll be able to get some shit done around here, eh? If ya can't negotiate, then you better fucking take control.

If you wanted to do HRC real damage you wouldn't leak anything powerfully damaging now when there is still time to debunk and pivot. You'd wait till the week or weekend before Nov. 8th before firing off that missile to limit the triage by the DNC and then tell Trump to keep his mouth shut. Another reason to wait till the last second would be to get the last punch in and limit the time-frame Trump's mouth could undo the damage.
I hope the Russians and Assange aren't just biding their time with a nuclear media option.
