The Mighty/Mighty+ by Storz & Bickel

I get that, the cooling system on the s and b is legit, their convection/conduction heater design is the best for a big session bowl vape. The chamber for the air to heat up is much much bigger than the cfx. The heater in the cfx is contained in the small steel housing a millimeter or two below where the herbs sit. The battery life and heat up time on the cfx/cf crushes s&b portables. You can get a cfx for 150 and a cf for 110 which is basically the same vape experience. You can take your chances on ebay and get a mighty for 360ish new (hopefully they aren't selling those cheap legit mighty clones for that price). If u get a legit mighty it's prob the overstock of the defective units. I can only see myself buying directly from s&b if they even do that.
Many here say you can get a sweet deal on Mighty through Puffitup, late model no bs, authorized.
Have you had any fair opportunity to try a Mighty?
I'm pretty happy with battery charge life. It's possible to do 6-8 bowls over the course of a day, charge while preparing and eating dinner, then be good to go well into the evening. Also has option to use a/c power.

you might want to read the crafty thread - it seems to have an unacceptably high failure rate, esp. for something with a 2 year guarantee. anecdotally, mighty's track record is better.

I agree with @darbarikanada , of the two, Mighty is the preferable purchase. Wait for it, I'd guess it will not take long. They say it's best to ask via email for best deal at PIU, though that coupon is a good price on Crafty.
I have no regrets about paying retail buying direct from S & B America. The thing is that good. I've had good service experiences with them, though some folks report otherwise...

I just came here to post I got my Mighty back less than 2 weeks from filling out form. They actually just sent me a new Mighty when it was my button that broke as well. Took 3 days after they received it to send a new 1 in box back. So glad I got great CS from Oakland. Slowest part was the shpping Fed Ex ground. The return label was UPS they provided.

Send it in.

Well after 11 months of being my daily driver, my mighty has bit the dust. The on off button started getting harder to operate about 2 weeks ago and then finally just stopped working. I pulled the cover off and 2 tiny metallic pieces fell out of it. Anyone here think an electronic repair shop could fix this or just chuck it?

Yipee!
Another bright orange accessory!
I will be trying these, and fooling around with them too.
Thanks for posting.

Looking at the product photos, I see there's a clear lid for the magazine, and that the magazine itself has a filling position (center hub) for a capsule. As usual, well thought-out design.

Lol dude you can't say the CFX is a Mighty clone when you haven't even tried it!!!

I have done some pretty vigorous testing on my buddies CF (heard performance is the same as CFX) and while it may look like a Crafty, it won't perform like one. The CF is the BEST first vaporizer you can buy if you're on a budget. It can produce clouds that rival the EVO and that's impressive. The draw resistance get annoying after a while and the vapor quality is pretty damn decent. However, the only thing actually better about these devices is the heat-up time. If the Mighty/Crafty had the same heat-up time, I would 100% pick the Mighty/Crafty over these units at double the price all day everyday. The overall experience of the Mighty is that much better; trust me on this one. The Boundless vapes are definitely good overall, however if you give these two units to any experienced vapor, I am confident each and everyone will say the Mighty gives them a much better experience.

You won't understand how well the Mighty performs until you use one.

I agree with most of this as I own a Mighty and a CFX. The Mighty is the all around winner but if on a budget I would get the CFX due to half price. CFX would make a great first vape IMO. The flavor is not as good but it does stand up and heats quickly. I am cheap and really would have to think a long time if the Mighty it is worth the extra price or get 1 CFX and 1 CF for a back up for less than 1 Mighty.

I find I grab the Mighty for around the house and with concentrate/herb combos. I grab the CFX when I need a faster heat up time or I want to pack a bunch of flowers. I like them both for different reasons. I like the Mighty vapor better. While I don't think the Mighty vapor is 'much better' than the CFX, I agree with @shaolinmilk that the main benefits to the CFX are heat up time and price.

There are other nice touches to like about the Mighty, like the loading tool and the anti-static rim around the bowl that doesn't catch little bits of herb.

It vibrates when it shuts off, just like the Crafty.

The newer ones shut off after 2 minutes now.

Reggie Watts,
there's been a lot on this thread about the pad. for concentrates, people mention 3 methods:
1. slice a pad in half (or so), concentrate in the middle
2. concentrate on top of pad (as per S&B)
3. sandwich concentrate between bud

my sense, based on the posts, is that they all work fine (mighty's blessed lack of fussiness on display here...)

apparently there are thinner concentrate pads for other vapes out there, so you could get those instead of trying to slice the S&B pad.

Just found a great way to do shatter etc. Get a cotton wool pad, normally for removing make up etc, and cut a roughly Mighty shaped circle. The pad pulls in half really easily, drop your shatter in the middle and pop the other half back on top. Put in chamber and vape at about 195-200 degrees c. When done, the pad just lifts out.

Only question is if there's an issue from vaping with the cotton pad. I've read elsewhere of people using cotton wool and it fine. Never goes near combustion heat anyway.

Truthfully, you didn't handle your email message with any tact at all. Putrid CS because they wouldn't clean your bowl?? I know if that was the first response someone said to me, I'd probably not be as helpful.

Don't know what company ever cleans vapes for you either, or a "dirty bowl" being a reason for warranty? It's not hard to clean the bowl. Use a Magic Eraser.

Don't really know the plastic smell you're talking about, but it probably has nothing to do with the dirty bowl and everything to do with your cracked plastic housing. Seeing as how, this isn't a common report.

They are also honoring the warranty, they said they would fix the housing, which is covered in the warranty. Nice of them to even offer to clean it for you lol.

I'm all for calling out poor CS when there is poor CS, just stating that from my perspective, I'm not seeing it.

@Eatrocks Mighty is my favorite for multiple people. No skill needed to operate, and bowl is decent sized to get us all pretty ripped.
i payed $450 for a premium device. there shouldn't be a fee for a wear and tear. there shouldn't be wear and tear in the first place, it's a $450 device... And "dirty bowl" in my terms is something that exudes fumes and is particularly dangerous to my health, so sorry for me being frustrated with customer service for a device i payed good money for. They fixed my housing and cleaned my bowl semi?(half shit brown half clean, who knows if this is even my original unit). I got banned last time for stating my concerns about this company, will probably be banned again.

But what of that "plastic" smell that was your biggest worry. Is it gone? Did they say anything about it? I wondered why you'd be concerned whether this is even your original device when you had lost confidence in that one; isn't the goal a functional and safe unit?

I tend to think the 'putrid' line probably hurt you more than it did them, setting an adversarial tone early in the process.

3rd post on this subject. Sorry to have to do this here but I have run out of options.

5 RMA's submitted for my faulty power button (common issue) from 3 different PC's to ensure something strange is not going on with my PC. No Response!

5 emails to America email address and 2 to the Info address. No Response!

Left 2 VM's about this issue. No Response!

Ordered the cans for the mighty and immediate response and shipped out already...

Any other suggestions on how to get these guys to respond? This has been going on for a month now! How is it others are getting response on the RMA but not me?

UGGHHHHH!!!!!!

It didn't hurt me at all. I got somewhat a warrantied unit( must be some one else's) it's half cleaned, (batteries are fine) , and no more plastic taste, but who knows this thing isn't a sustainable device and is bound chip plastic within a 7 month period. It's functional yes. But my point was to evidence the shoddy practice snb has with warranties. As you can see the user above me can't even get a warranty in. So yes I do think their company rep is putrid for lack of better words. When a consumer purchases a $400 item that comes with warranty, the company signs an agreement with the consumer. But this company wholy violates their warranty agreement and provides only selective services to some. So excuse my frustration with this company. I hate to admit I love the mighty, but this thing needs to be stripped of all of its tuv SUD certifications as I do not see it being certified for medically certified materials. Medically certified materials don't brittle with heat, and are sustainable. Which the mighty is not. I had contacted tuv SUD and am awaiting their reply now. They definitely did not conduct tests on the shelf life on these things before they start to offhand plastic. It's a shame
