Yeah I'm right there with ya. There's only two other people in my area that vape and only one who is into glass. I wish there were more people but this way every one is amazed by the glass I do have. And it's not even that nice. People really don't get why it's so expensive. No one can justify paying over 100 for a straight tube or a beaker. Kinda frusterating.

It's the same with my friends too. Then again, it's always been that way with me. I find a hobby I really get into and love blowing my money on gadgets. Keeping up with technology was getting too expensive and I have a soft spot for functional art which makes me want to buy more glass.

For those IT guys out there....VMWare saved me!

I feel ya... I'm the only glasshead in my area, everybody either has soft glass grommets or pipes... I got a buddy who I'm slowly convincing to get into it. I want him to get a vape too.

Welcome to the forums blunted.

I love my oil rigs, my tubes/vapes don't even get any action anymore... I can't wait til my VG rig and tubes get here, omg.. VG still has pneumonia and hasn't been able to work lately.
i told you that's why i didnt want to get into bho. you and surv and spiral pretty much gave up on your vapes after boiling the oil. i'm scurred once i get into it, there's no turning back.

IMHO it's just that much more fun... It's fun to make, fun to vape, fun to buy oil rigs... I'm still gonna hang onto my supreme though... I considered selling it to pay for more glass, lol.

VMWare is awesome. I run a couple of Virtual Servers on it. VMWare Converter is an awesome product as well. You can easily convert a physical machine into a virtual machine, very quickly. When I need a new computer for someone in the office, I run VMWare Converter on the old machine and make a "Virtual Machine" out of it. Later, if the person who's machine I replaced needs something off of their "old" computer, I can simply fire up the VM and they have access to it as if their old machine never left.

I apologize for the temporary thread hijack!

For those non-techies... Imagine replacing your old computer with a new one, but being able to open up a window (or full screen) on your new computer and work on all of your old programs and data just like you were on your old computer... The old machine can live on in the new one for when you need it. Truly awesome technology.. and does much more..

Just went through most of this thread, all the glass is gorgeous! Don't completely understand half of what you guys are talking about but am starting to understand the idea of the different diffusion techniques. Just got back from hitting (combusting unfortunately) a nice Illadelph with a diffused (?) downstem and an ashcatcher with percs, makes me want to have a nicer piece of glass to come home to. Realistically I'm planning months ahead but a nice bubbler would definitely get used.

A couple of questions. I'm a new vaporizer owner but a quck convert, I'm using the Extreme. Durden, having seen your set-up with an Extreme I was curious about a couple things. Would I get as much milk without a custom/different bowl? Yours looked like it was made to pack a punch. Also, to get started, what should I be looking for in terms of size to use in tandem with my Extreme? (gong connections I guess?)

To be honest I don't even know where to start looking (no idea if a custom piece would be overboard for me) but I've got a basic plan as to what I want. I'm thinking a smaller piece so one of these tall, diffusing bubblers seems to be a good plan? As for the diffusing, what method would be best? It seems that this is still a progressing field so the newer innovations I'd imagine are more expensive. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'd love to be stacking bubbles like some of the videos I've seen here!

Final more general question, if I end up getting a nice piece of glass am I gonna want a new vape too? I hope my Extreme produces enough thick vapor to make this next investment worth it. Any advice here would be great, I'd like to expand on my Extreme not start a whole new obsession if possible (I gotta stop reading about BHO techniques too!).

^ I guess thats basically what I wanna do, just upgrade a little.

Electrician, for a standard bong/bubbler set-up (I think I've read that 14 & 18 mm are the most common?) what would I need to purchase besides what came with the Extreme unit? The wand/bowl in your hand above definitely look aftermarket or perhaps are designed for a different unit? Any help here would be appreciated, I'm just starting to look at new glass and the first point of interest is how do I get the vapor in there, after that I can worry about diffusing and so on.

get a peice that is glass on glass and you can get a fitting that goes from your whip to a gong fitting this one is from the silver surfer site

you could also just hook the short balloon whip to the other whip.

in my picture the wand is made of the downstem that belongs to the bong, a 14 to 18 adapter for the bowl and some tubing. when im using the bong i forgo the tubing and hold the extreme (which has an 18mm male joint) steady in the bowl, then set it back down when i want to clear it

This should tide me over until my next work contract. I am loading up my VS while typing this.

@wthanna

I love that converter tool as well. I am sick of having to use Acronis and Ghost for imaging.

nice glass quomist! glad your goodies showed up. I'm going on 2-3 months waiting for some of my pieces so gotta stay patient. How do you like that SB showehead? looks cool!

supposedly, my pillar should be sent out today, if that happens, it should be in my hands by this Friday and I can make a nice video over the weekend. I must make a video that will do the pillar justice, hopefully i can expand on my limited editing skills

this is my last glass purchase for a while, it's hard to justify the spending when I tell my wife to cut back in this economy. damn, this addiction!!!!!!!!

Two to three months would drive me insane! I wouldnt last and would buy up accessories to tide me over. That must be for all the custom work though.

The SB is awesome. I just hit it with the VS and it is smooooooth! Im already vaked off half a bowl.

I cant wait to break in the n3rd inline. It has much less drag than the SB which should be fun for quick clears.

quomist - both of my n3rd pieces that got me into glass are now resting in pieces... so sad, they were great pieces too, loved them - I'll have to vape a few bowls thru the pillar for them.

on the waiting thing, guess why I bought that Pillar? to hold me over!!! lol, i spent more on the two pieces i bought waiting for the original piece than i paid for the original piece... just gotta laugh about it.

enjoy your new pieces!
