I'm honestly shocked to hear that you don't feel it in your throat with the Crafty... the vapour is so damn powerful that it's impossible not to cough. Try turning up your temp to say 375-380F for one session and come back with your results. Cheers!

@Bourbon Kid When I first got the Crafty I encountered zero resistance on the drag and was getting next to no clouds at all, I immediately thought the device wasn't working properly. After a few sessions I quickly realized what the differences were and ever since then it's been nothing but bliss for me.

Half a bowl at max temps will usually give me 3 solid rips of decent vapor, then a final wisp of vapor. Put some bubblehash on there and it can turn into 10-12!

So I tried again last night, with like 2/3rd of a bowl, the liquid pad, and 375F this time. Had 3 big clouds, then 1 or 2 "normal" clouds and then no more clouds. I got the itchy throat for the first 2 hits, which is a good thing I guess.

Still don't know about those guys saying they got clouds after 3 or 4 sessions on the same bud, that seems impossible to me. Either their chamber is REALLY packed, either my Crafty's got something wrong

I won $250 on sports bets this week, damn near almost pulled the trigger but I figured I can wait til after the holidays. I have no need for this vape, but it would be pretty cool to have such a small form factor with such awesome cloud/vapor production.

Thanks for sharing this. I appreciate knowing what I need to avoid. I do not have the temperament to deal with multiple returns. :)

No problem it's ashame for when it works it works great but the longest one lasted me was about a month and then 3 weeks there after for the others . Happy ending the place I bought it from will trade in the new one they sent me . Customer service is great though when u can reach them but at this rate a 3 year warrantie I will have gone through a hundred or two lol

If you are not buying direct from manufacturer, are you sure you are buying a real Crafty and not a knock-off? Just wondering since I thought that manufacturer was known for quality construction.

I assume by 'crafty' you mean Storz & Bickel. They would not tell you that if you bought from an authorized dealer. If you have a valid warranty they will honor it.

You're also posting this in a section (General Vaporization) that's not meant for discussion of specific models, so it's going to the Crafty thread.

I'm not the least bit disappointed. While I've never owned an S&B vape, I do know that it's a reputable company. In fact they've probably been in business longer than any other vape manufacturer, and many people consider their products to be the best you can buy. Joining the forum just to bash a company because you've had a bad experience is frowned upon here (see the rules page), so hopefully your replacement will be satisfactory and you won't feel the need to keep warning people as if your experience is the norm.

I think the reason you were on a "circle jerk" is because you asked for your money back rather than a fix, a fix is covered under warranty while a refund is generally not, sounds like the retailer that you bought it from is giving you store credit? If so its good that you got a solution, maybe look at something like the arizer air/solo or a butane vape for something a little more rock solid with regards to reliability.

I'm sorry you have had so much trouble with your units, just for my own curiosity how many hours did each unit reach? And what was the reason for each return? (Was it housing cracking, button failure or lights of death) and any comments on your usage? I'm not looking for reasons to put any blame on you just to get a better picture.

And just to add a little balance, I bought my crafty in March and it's still running great (although this last week my Bluetooth seems not to work, but I have it set at 190°c/210°c which are the only temps I use it at now anyway) while I acknowledge this is not the 'norm' for everyone, it seems we are at opposite ends of the reliability scale while I think most fit somewhere in the middle.

:peace:

The first time it would not take a charge as well as the second the last time the button stop working and I couldn't shut it off or turn it on after it shit down . Hmmm as for hours hard to say maybe 30 hour for the first and the last two about 20 hours probably less though since it's usually just myself using it . I do understand about the warranty but how many times am I suppose Go through this . They are also very fast on there turn around time to get it back to you .

Ooops that would be shut down

Unfortunately, his experience with the Crafty does echo what quite a few have experienced regarding the longterm reliability of the device. I myself have had to have my Crafty replaced due to the flashing yellow and red lights of death 4 times, once for a broken power button, and just recently for no vibration alert on a brand new replacement. This was all in about 12 months of ownership. I purchased direct from S&B and have had positive experience with the warranty exchanges. @Grods68flame you only have a 2 year warranty, not 3 as you stated, unless your retailer is offering an additional year. One thing that most can agree is the Crafty is a vaporizer that is worth dealing with all the warranty return BS. :science:

New Crafty in the house! Serial 39XXX....took 1:40 to get to 180c but my house was freezing this morning, think Crafty was at 18 or 19c when I started the timer. And then was without the CU on!

Performance is spectacular....loving the smaller CU for my SonG water bong hits, but after a bit of fun this will be saved for my intended application for its use - portability/stealth! I have my Mighty for around the house fun which is quickly becoming my favourite! The speed of extraction is unbelievable!!

Videos to come!

Wow, there's a v2.1.0 now? You're the first I've heard of with one of those. Keep us updated how it goes,

My v2.08 seems to be dying fast.
Now at 71 hours.
Vibration only sometimes works
Heat up time to 180c over ambient now takes 2:55 and I'm only getting 2 sessions per charge now.
The unit hasn't started overheating and turning off like my v.2.0.5 did but I'm expecting that may start soon.

So it seems if that 70 hour S&B battery warranty is correct they seem to have calculated that pretty much spot on!

Did you ever find the larger o-ring stock number for the CU? And thanks for the info, I figured someone looked it up already...I found this thread while looking myself.
