^^^^ :D ;) good one ob

Elluzion, I think the majority of us on this thread love our Zap(s). It is a very sweet vape. I could go on and on, but the Zapman is an unpretentious guy and doesn't like it when I do. So let me just say that every Zap experience I've had has been a great one! :D

edited to add: Elluzion, this has been done a few times. Current thread doing so:

Thanks for the info, as far as price and availability, the Zap wins me over. I really want an INTENSE WALNUT, would be amazing. Do log vapes like the zap hit pretty well with good flavor? I'm looking for bigger hits than my MFLB.

elluzion,

Please take your question to another thread. It is not fair to any of the makers to have it just here. This should be posted in its own thread or find one of the many threads that discuss this issue.

I hope this does not sound like I am being a dick, I just think for everyone involved, this would be better posted elsewhere.

now ob...be nice..... :D I think this question is perfectly legit for this thread:

The intense walnut Zaps that Rick has been making have been amazing. They've tempted me more than once. The Zap hits very well with great flavor. All of the "log vapes" do, from what I understand. There is a technique to learn, just like there was with the LB, with stem pack and draw. It can be hooked up to a bong or water pipe, just like the other log vapes. And, Rick provides nice glass stems. Will you get larger hits than your LB? Depends on your technique. End of sales pitch!

Better question... Can anyone compare the Purple Days and Myrtlezap vaporizer if you have one? Pros/Con of both?

Have a look at this thread: http://www.fuckcombustion.com/viewtopic.php?id=4604

Both are great vaporizers. All three brands are built like tanks. If you look around you'll see a chart somewhere of which woods run hotter/cooler.

Thanks@! that is helpful atleast

I guess i'll just leave.. :| :ninja:

but before i do, one more question, is the Tootie stem better with or without a carb in your guys's opinion??

seems like it would be better with a carb to get the fresh air ? no?

I was truly not trying to be mean. I just think we should limit this thread to questions specifically about the zap. I just do not want to stir up anything during this time of peace :peace: :)

to answer the question. It is hard to compare "hit" quality of the zap and the Magic flight box. They are very different. They are also different when using the batteries vs. the new power adapter. I can say as the owner of both (along with a couple of others and one more on the way) that the zap is my daily user even though I would say it does not provide the biggest hits necessarily. It is also a good vape if you are someone who is concerned about conserving your product. It is very efficient. I am not someone who requires massive vapor to be satisfied. It also depends on packing, grind and a number of other factors.

I will also say, I think we all have enjoyed working with Rick and that he has provided excellent customer service. There are also a number of great choices available now.

@ Elluzion

idk, i can pull some killer hits off my MZ [especially with a tootie] you just need to perfect your draw and herb loading techniques.

comparing the MZ to the MFLB is like comparing apples and oranges. both are high quality vapes.

carb hole all the way.

:) That's a subjective thing Elluzion. I love the two Tooties that I have that have carbs and prefer them over the others. Some don't feel the same way. What can I say? If the carb appeals to you, I would go for it.

I will get a Tooty with NO carb :D

the differences between the 3 main 'log' style vapes are pretty small. The biggest difference IMO is the waiting time and the price..... Which for some people is a big factor, for others its not.

Honestly, like you said its opinion and everyone will have their take on this. Research to the best of your ability to find what YOU want! the biggest physical difference between the PD and MZ is the screen in the MZ

I hope elluzian did not leave on my account. I really was not trying to be mean, in fact just the opposite. I generally want less drama, not more :)

mom, I do not wear panties, I wear boxers......... ;)

No sweat OB, He has not left I can assure you.
My Tooty choice is NO carb, without a doubt. Just got the call on the next pile of glass from Tim.
It's a good thing as we are almost out already.
So Zaplady. Did you put instructions in todays orders on the plug kit?

No of course not, I was just giving you a hard time :)

I have decided that I am GOING TO GET A MYRTLEZAP! I can't wait. I really want the walnut, and a tootie, no carb!

another question: are the custom wood stems more expensive? are they worth it over the plastic? thanks!

also, stem holder! worth it! or meh?

Elluzion,

You have made an excellent choice. I own the plastic and a number of tootys and I love them all. I think the non-carb is a good choice.
hopefully mom will chime in about the wood as I know she owns one.

welcome to the club.

Here is the site for the wood stems. They are made by a different manufacturer. Some are more expensive than the Tooty, some are around the same price. IMO, yes, better than the stock stems. Compared to the Tooty, honestly, whichever one I'm using at the time is best. I always go back and forth.

Just received a MZ from one of the members here. I thought I've successfully been using very small amounts of herbs with my other vapes. But I've been able to medicate with only half a stem. I love this! I am a complete believer in this vape. Use is fairly easy, especially if you are already an experienced vaporist.

However, I can barely taste the weed. This is the part I miss. I will still vape through glass often, especially with the tastier strains. However, it's just amazing how quick and easy it is to use this thing. I understand why some people leave this thing plugged in 24/7.

I have to agree with reece about the wood stems vs. the Tooties. I love them both. I like having variety and finds it enhances my vaping. The one difference with the wood stems is that the draw is a bit easier since the inner diameter of the stem is larger. I'm actually about to spring for another one once Ed posts his new stuff. Elluzion, if you are like the rest of us, you will find yourself addicted to the accessories.... :p The stem holder is a nice accessory. I don't use one of Rick's, rather I use an antique flower frog (a glass disc with holes for the flower stems) that works perfectly.

Whichever way you go, I hope you enjoy your Zap experience. Rick does a great job with his product and his service. If you have any questions once you get your Zap, we are always ready to give our opinions....

I have been thinking about buying a 2nd MZ for my office because i'm tired of moving it all the time. my apt runs pretty cool in the winter, you guys recommend that i get a cherry zap? i like the higher temps, but i don't want to put a sock/cozy on it or a 13.5 plug.

Do you dry your herb to prepare it for vaporizing? If so, try not drying as an experiment. See if you notice any difference in taste.

Soooooo... My MZ has very prominent rattle to her. :uhoh: I've had her for about 5 months now.

I know that this is common and I have been expecting it, so now what?

Do I need to get a tightening kit? Will that solve the problem (is it even a problem?) or will it loosen back up again in 4 months and I will be buying tightening kits periodically?

Neverender, do you leave your Zap on 24/7? I notice that when I turn mine off it rattles, but as soon as it heats up again, it stops.

It's possible you could need the kit if this is not the case. Contact Rick and see what he says.... :)

My herb is actually a little more moist than usual. I'll experiment later. It's not such a bad thing to lack taste. Especially since half a bowl on last 3 hits for me.

Ok I held off as long as I could... I'm going to buy one of these beauties.
Probably a dumb question here, I'm going to go with the "best deal going" ( http://www.aromazap.com/shop/2011-best-deal-going.html ) sale and I have the choice between 3 different woods. On the picture provided what kind of wood is what? I like the one on the far left but have no clue what is what. Also, If I were to buy one today 2/9 when would you think it would arrive.
