The D020 bubbler pairs well with the Solo. I got it off if Dhgate online store. With shipping mine was $30 sent to the U.S from China.

I've been using my Enano and Solo for my at home use. The D020 doesn't work as well with the nano.
The FC 186 or the FC 187 and truly the D022 = NANO

For my favorite SOLO a D020 is perfect and cheap!

Some like the D020 - D

How do you guys like using f bombs or other lift off water blunt tools with the solo? I want to grab one on dhgate but will spend more for a better one per recommendations. Sucks because my gong is 18mm and it looks like these use 14

I use an F-Bomb with my Solo on levels 5 and up and it's very smooth. It can still be a little harsh but it's much cooler than dry. It can get me very medicated without noticing how much I've taken in, so be careful! The F-Bomb also comes in 18mm, but I have it in 14mm. Also I use an O-ring to keep the GonG more stable.

Welcome to the SOLO club!

I have a lot of glass!
D020 has a 18mm fitting for the GonG!

Less than $30 to your house.

Yup, I`ve heard a lot of people talk about how much they like the D020 with the Solo so that would be a good choice I think...

Now I know I`ll need a GonG and I`m wondering which Planet Vapes option would be the best choice.

I`m happy with the way my stock Arizer stems draw (with whip attached)...I do like my straight PVHES stem with a little bit of Teflon tape wrapped around the channels to cut down on air flow a bit (although I have to say that stock it would be my choice if I really wanted huge hits in a short session)...

What kind of GonG are you folks using with your D020?

Standard PVHEGong 18mm. Draw resistance is just fine imo, but I might try the turbo to see what that's like. Shorty or regular bowl up to you.

PlanetVape are nearly always out of stock though lol

With all this bubbler and stem talk going on, perhaps this is a good time to be sure everyone knows that the cap end of the Air stem (basically a short Solo stem) fits 14mm GonG fittings. Making them 'PonG'??

At ten bucks and 'always in stock' it's a useful option I think. No grooves, notches or turbo of course, but IMO they do just fine. There are two lengths, the shorter (60mm) one having a smaller bowl for you 'shortie' fans?

http://arizer.com/store/en/arizer-air-parts-accessories/95-air-glass-aroma-tubes.html

You can get them from Dealers as well, of course. It's kinda fun to use sometimes 'dry' and adds a bit of stealth.

So now you know......if you didn't before.

Hey y'all, I'm new here, so I figured I should say hi.... so, hi!

I'm wondering if anybody here could help me with a problem I've been having with my Arizer Solo since Thursday?

It's ~14 months old, hasn't acted up until just the past few days, and it just won't turn on now.

I tried every outlet in my house and two different chargers. They give off weird patterns when plugged in.

https://streamable.com/mpg6 -
shows the charging pattern it is giving, it's not turning on at all, the reset method did nothing and I'm not quite sure what to make of it.

After a while, the charge light becomes red and flashes like it's charging.

https://streamable.com/ssbr -
shows what happens with a charger from my friend. Different pattern, turned the sound back on the Arizer for this one.

Any help/advice is appreciated! Thanks.

Hey y'all, just an update on this. In case anybody was curious.

I took it apart, cleaned it out, unplugged the battery, plugged it back in and was ready to send it away for warranty if the replacement battery or charger didn't work.

Got my replacement parts yesterday and it turns out, it was just the charger. Even though I tried my initial charger AND a friends' charger (my friend has no problems when he charges his device with it). But this charger works, and my Solo works, so I'm happy.

I also bought a replacement battery that's gonna sit in my drawer if anything happens to my current one. I haven't tried the Solo with the new battery.

One side note - My battery level when I turn it on and plug it in is always at 7 now for some reason. The charger light still blinks green and solidifies when it's completed but yeah, it's always at 7 now. Weird.

Thanks again.

Great news for sure. Also strange, substitution with 'known good' sub assemblies is one of the most powerful troubleshooting techniques out there.......

It sounds like there may be some lingering issue? You might see if the new battery also 'jumps to 7' on charging??

Anyway, it's working again.

Thanks for the update.

I use the one and only 18mm gong created by a local glassblower from the aroma therapy "dish" that comes with your Solo and a broken EQ elbow(see more below). I also have a 14mm gong created in the same fashion. I ended up with two gongs for the price of one.

I really like this idea. Many of us have a small collection of them.....and growing? Maybe we could pool them up and get a group conversion? We could supply Ataxian with stuff to break for maybe even a week?

@OF OK! I break glass everyday!
I like your ideal of a AIR gong for $9.00?

So I understand. How nice you do it so we don't have to.....teamwork. That's what made America great you know.

It's not really a GonG as much as the stock stem for Air. And they're ten bucks (rounded off), but who's gonna call an Hombre a liar for a buck? And more over, given their small size and plastic end (no chips....) I bet breaking 'em would be a challenge even for a top contender like you?

Now be honest, big guy......you're not standing at all are you? You're sitting at that computer again wondering what you wanted to say seconds ago?

Yep, it's a great idea all right. I wish it was mine. Somebody's staying sharp on their job........and for whatever reason Arizer isn't taking advantage of it with Solo? It's not like it's going to kill their thriving GonG business or anything.

Sleep well, we'll keep the world turning for you so it's in the correct orientation when you need it again.

Been coughing a lot from bud, switched to concentrates for a while now - but coughing is still pretty intense. Looking to go back to vaping, thinking of getting the solo. Only problem is price.

I've seen them on the official site for 225 and ebay and other vape sites for around 130. Willing to pay 140 if I can find it in stores tomorrow.

Question/problem is... I've seen some posts saying the ones @ 130/140 or basically under $220, are all "older" versions and have many problems... but then again these posts are from 2012... so I'm just wondering.. is there any actual difference in older models of the Solo? Are the ebay listings with "2015 model" a lie and trying to sell older year models? When I go to my local smoke shop, should I be asking for a specific minimum model or newer?

Also, used to own arizer Q and even volcano, but vaping never really did it for me. As I grow older and realize my lungs are weak as hell, I need a powerful vaporizer to actually work. I really wanted to get the herbalizer but with their recent BS... decided not to. This seems like this next best option for vape-bong daily driver experience.
Are there any others anyone would recommend? I'm willing to spend the money for something I will be using every day, 10+ times a day. Especially wanted the herbalizer because of concentrate vaping, but oh well.

Planetvape in Canada and Puffitup are both FC sponsors and have great pricing, great customer service and would be good choices to go to for a Solo. Torontovape.ca also has good deals...

You can`t go wrong with a Solo!

I'm fully behind vaping in general and Solo specifically. IMO it's a great vape and fits well with a wide spectrum of owners.

I don't know who told you "all "older" versions and have many problems" but IMO they lied to you. In fact, I prefer the older version, IMO a better battery management system and 'real PA' (not 'use while charging) can be an extremely useful feature if you're using it a lot near power as it seems you are? You can avoid 'wear and tear' on the battery (which is a hassle to replace). Since they basically don't break (batteries eventually give up for the most part), I don't fear older ones, FWIW.

I don't think you'll find one in a shop for $140 unless you're extremely lucky. Such a 'great deal' could easily be a demo or used.....or worse still a return? PIU will price match and has a base price of $160 shipped with a bonus gift. Randy is fast, order today and it'll go out Monday (First Class mail). More importantly he'll stand behind it like nobody you know.

You should also consider any vape is mission critical if it's all you have. You need a backup of some sort. One of the (very occasionally available) 'open box' (meaning tested returns) from PIU might be an option. IIRC the last one I got that way was $65 with full accessories (new stems). Or perhaps something like Lotus (which could work well with your bong)?

Thank you for the information.

What is the real PA feature? I would preferably like to keep it plugged in 95% of the time, it would be at home. Maybe that one time I want to drive and blaze, I'll take it out. You can just keep it plugged in right, it has over-charge protection I'm assuming?

And to be clear, you are suggesting I go with PIU and spend 160 instead of the 130 on ebay? So the ebay ones are a bit sketch.. they had a few even offering free overnight shipping.

Also the main post that grabbed my attention was this one from GC:
And your basically ensured to get an M101 - M103 production run unit from that, without the teflon disc, with loose 2 hole stems and and more than just probably a stinky ceramic element. I don't know about you, but Id be willing to pay an extra 50 - 75 dollars (keep in mind PV is in Canadian dollars) to make sure I get the latest M106 model with the teflon disc, tight four hole stems and the new battery packs. Their more expensive for a reason, because they are an updated product. Ebay sellers and Amazon stores are peddling the year old models that are plagued with problems proved time and time again by threads on FC from disappointed owners who bought an old model thinking they were getting a deal.

Oh and also, would you say the Solo is still more powerful than the new Air? After the research I've done, the only advantage I see is size... I really don't think the Solo is even that large.. much easier than carrying around a loaded bubbler w/ water and a lighter... but it seems the Air and Solo use the same technology, the Solo actually seems stronger because of the battery. Is this correct?

I bought both my solos from ebay...nothing sketchy about it.myrubberneck was the seller.I contacted arizer with a list of ebay sellers and asked which,if any were authorized dealers and myrubberneck is one of them.I paid right around $130.Fast free shipping.no worries.

The 'old style' (say 1.5 years?) had the ability to use the Power Adapter that PV and others still sell. Lower voltage, higher current, that would drive the Solo without using battery power. Now that's no longer possible. Now it's like a cell phone or laptop, you can charge it as you use the battery. But unlike some laptops, the charger won't run the device without the battery.

As to 'leaving it plugged in so it's ready to go', IMO that's the worse way to go. This ensures the battery is at 100% charge all the time, a known battery killer on it's own. Notice they come to you with about 60% charge? That's why. I'm sure you know of cell phones and laptops that are treated this way and now have alarmingly low battery life? Now you know why. Poor batter management IMO. Yes, it has protection, but a 100% charged battery will die sitting on a shelf.

Yes, that's what I'm saying. Randy at PIU it tops, you won't find a more supportive dealer should you have troubles. If you can get an Ebay quote for less (with shipping), let him know. I don't like the idea of pushing his already modest profit down, but that's between you and him. He is known to match prices. Lots of horror stories around about problems with Ebay (not all sellers of course, but sometimes some popular ones?), not a single 'discouraging word' about PIU I know of. Your call.

As to the pony pucky advice you quote........what can a guy say? Those models are many many years old, nobody has volumes of them to sell and many of us would happily pay a premium for many of them. With them are 2 hole stems, history. And do you buy "a stinky ceramic element"? I sure don't. Get real, you have ceramics around, got any stinky dinner plates? Neither do I. Glazed ceramics are glass on the surface.......

Anyone here think that quote holds any water?

Your call, but that's my (and others) advice.

Aw damn, that's inconvenient. I guess drain it to about 20% and charge?

Great info man, thank you. I don't think that guys advice (gc quote) actually holds up after thinking about it. I probably will end up buying it from PIU then, the travel caps are only 3 bucks there and seem pretty useful, just pack and go.

One last question, would it be possible to load the potpourri bowl with shatter/concentrate and then hold the glass mouthpiece over it and vape shatter like that? I only have about 2.5 grams left of concentrates, but it would be really nice to finish it off with a true vape, even though nails/buckets are KINDA vaporizing.
