It sure does. And how much does Arizer charge for this piece that is thinner than your china glass?

Your heating element looks pretty good for being 5 yrs old.
Funny, seems like this thing fits better than the actual heater cover. I remember unrolling some kind of fireproof cloth that sealed the gaps when the original is used. Could be a legit design change or (pure speculation) a great way to sell more parts??
Arizer is a great company though and does not gouge on parts(heater cover is only $14.95).
They only charged me only $5.00 to replace a cap for the top of the Solo, so I don't really see sinister motives.
Probably just happy coincidence :).

Thanks DDave I have not used my eq in a bit since I got some portables . I was in the mood to fill a bag a few days ago and for some reason it was on C . It must have been a ghost that changed it.

No prob. I regularly use C and sometimes seeing the display come up with the much larger F numbers and I have to do the double-take... ;)

Make sure you get a GG SSV wand. (Ground Glass)

There are three different SSV wands, Standard, SGG, and GG.
Props to he who introduced me to the SSV Wand! It's still serving me very well! :science:

hey @ jab1958, mine is 18mm ff. Stick with that to be safe. Many sellers adapters that are listed as 19mm are actually the 18mm sizes, but I know I've seen a true 19mm size in a local shop that didn't fit the 18mm wand.

Ill try to wrap this up with one more round of questions. I am going to purchase my EQ within the week and i have spotted the GG SSV wand, still searching for the 18mm ff adapter. One question .. does the adapter need to be GG? If there is anything else i might need some one let me know. Im still Googling to find an adapter if anybody knows the whereabouts of one let me know. Thanks alot all.

I go where the thrills are
I haven't used my V Tower much in the past year. (I have the regluar whip/non-fan version.) I've had it for several years, used the hell out of it day and night, and never had a moment's trouble with it. I almost exclusively used the "elbow pack" approach, which delivers quite large hits, very consistently.

But it's largely gone unused in the past year as I've leaned on a couple portables and I've only broken it out on occasion. Today I felt like a change of pace and fired it up. And like, holy shit. I forgot how powerful and exact this thing is. I forgot how huge the hits are when you pack the elbow bowl. This thing's been sitting in my closet for a year but it's still reliable and precise.

It's definitely out of the closet now, though my wife probably won't be thrilled to see it back on the coffee table. Maybe I can find a decorative cover for it....

I have owned an EQ for about 5 years. Used it exclusively until I got the Solo.
This past summer I used it on the deck. Recently when the Solo stopped working I had to do an emergency cover repair and the EQ saved the day.
Arizer has great products with excellent warranties, I am so glad I did the research on this forum and went with some winners. The Arizer Air is next.

I unpacked my EQ when we moved a couple of months ago. It's been stored for awhile. It was fun re familiarizing with the beast! I'm still thinking of the DDave adapter... Almost there parts-wise.

Mitch - if I can find them, my aunt used to crochet these dogs that fit over liquor bottles. I was 6, and haven't been able to figure out wtf they were actually for. Making the bottle harder to open? Anyways - they might work on your VTower coffee table, challenge if your wife likes godawful green and red crocheted poodles instead of vapes. No need to thank me, I'm just trying to help a bruvvah out :)

OK, but only because you asked... turns out they also make them for wine bottles now. These things are worth thousands in the right market, so I'd suggest stocking up now!

I have a question. I just ordered the Extreme Q and wanted to know how can I tell which is the newest model? Does the the newer model have a model number? On Arizer's website they say the new model has 28 improvements but does not mention it there. Does anyone know what exactly is improved and updated on the newer model? Thanks so much!

AFAIK, the improvements are from the older model of EQ from like 5-6 years ago.

I doubt you could even find an older model on purpose, without going used.

This thread helped me mod my EQ a lot. Thanks Dave and all others who posted informative stuff, links to the right products, etc.

I bought a SSV ground glass wand, a female to female adapter, camelbak big bite valves for mouthpieces, and upgraded to silicone tubing instead of stock PVC. I am still experimenting to get the right temperatures. I have some red LEDs on their way in the mail and I'm planning to replace the blue bottom lights with them.

Got my new EQ cranked her up full blast for 10 minutes to sterilize then used theDDave adapter with the ssv wand at around 210c no fan and this unit does the job plain and simple. My sights are now set on trying to find.. i guess, maybe a glass piece and whatever to maybe filter even more. Like to keep it inexpensive and kind of basic as far as the extras i might need. Does anyone have a D20 glass piece and are there any extras i might need with the D20 to better filterization? You guys have been a big help!! Thanks!!

I just wanted to let all you know as for glass water filtering for the Eq the big glass works well , the medium works well like D20 and 1 of my favorites is this small piece by pipes daddy which is praised by many here . The Vapor Glass Bubbler - http://www.pipesdaddy.com/product-p/vp-0022.htm , for $35 you cannot go wrong , its my go to piece with most of my vape's . I have posted pic's of it mated with my Eq several pages back but i will post 1 again for the new guy's & gal's . Also you will see i am using some better silicone tubing and ogb Glass Elbow that is much thicker than stock .

i have only smoked a few joints since i got my Q around a year ago. i love the bag and don't ever want to go back to bongs/pipes/papers. i never modified anything and it's on about 14 hours a day.

at first i'd fill the cyclone bowl and do 2 bags but i was getting too high so i started putting around 1/10 of a gram into the cyclone bowl for one good bag of vapor. i use 1/4 tsp spoon to measure it. i have a bunch of bud and coconut cannabis oil but i want it to last me a long time and i wanted to see how little i could put into the bowl and get high.

i found that .07 to .08 of a gram (got to love a digital scale :) ) gets me one nice bag that gets me as high as i want to be. i was surprised that so little will give 1 nice light cloud of vapor (not that you need to see the vapor to get high) at 375 to 385 degrees. i use the chicken cooking sized bags.

if you don't have a lot of pot, try it. if you have decent pot, i think you'll be surprised at how little you need to get a nice buzz.

i was vaping 1.5 grams a day but i realized that i was getting much more stoned than i wanted to be, so now i'm down to .75 grams a day, i have the buzz i love all day long and my stash will last quite a bit longer.

my only complaint is that the company takes way too long to get stuff to you.

i've broken 1 cyclone bowl and 2 whips so far. i ordered 2 of everything just in case.

My EQ is totally bone stock. I've had it for 2 years now, and have used 1 bag - everything else is still in the box, other than one glass piece I scooped for a whiptip for another system. It's been a great backup!
