Wait, what? I wish I was a rich guy. I don't even have a fucking job right now. Well, I do, but not a full-time job with benefits like I had before I got laid off. And this trip is a cheap, guys week. We have a condo, got SW tickets with miles, and 2 for 1 skiing.

That said, back in combustion days I would buy a new glass bowl and leave it and any leftover meds at the condo. We have a funny story about leaving some younger couples with like 12 beers, 1/4 OZ, some hash, and papers. Yea we brought too much, LOL. When I went to bahamas not too long ago, I bought one of those coil lighter-based vapes and left that there.

I always bring stuff, but never bring anything back, with the exception of an MFLB (which I lost at 12,000 feet). I don't think it will be a problem and do intend on cleaning everything completely. No way I'm leaving a fucking new Hercules behind!
Just messing!

Goddamn it. :cuss: No matter what I do, my Okeanos clogs up almost instantly. I've done every fix suggested as well as tried various forms of oil and I can't even finish one load before it becomes completely clogged. I think at this point I'll just use the TI KISS that came with the Okeanos as a dry hitter and retire the bubbler section until the Triton comes out. Hopefully there will be a fix in the design of the bubbler because it's obvious that I'm far from being alone in this issue but at this point, I'm thinking I may just post it in the classifieds unless G or somebody can suggest something that actually fixes the clogging problem. :(

@kindbeats there is a severe learning curve on the Okeanos. More so than other UP Tech products. That said....what I would do is use the kiss cart dry....then reload (only once fully empty) by taking a dab and dripping it directly onto wick a drop at a time....slowly increasing amount over time as you master draw. This is what I did. You dont need anything in the cup. It can be there as you master/level up but its a pain when you start. A tiny amount goes a LONG way here.

I really like this.....I know they dont EXACTLY match....but pretty damn close!

Hi Nao 12000 you told me I can find Ti Kiss cart in a german store (I'm a french guy) but after lot of searchs I can't found anything in vaporizers german stores and my french retailer haven't got the Ti version actually....

I prefer to order in EU to save some bucks in shipping cost but perhaps I need to order in canadian or US store if I want to get it soon....
If w9tech shipping is a bit high, I think planetvape.ca might be a little cheaper for international orders

Yeah, I'm waiting to order TI coils and extra SR rods until PV has them. W9 shipping costs are very steep even for Canadian customers.

So I've been using the Herc sr-74 for about 3 weeks now with great results. Last night, after using a few times during the day I wasnt getting any heat to the Herc. Blue light was working properly and batteries were fresh, but no heat to the touch on the Herc, and no crackling noise that confirms the heating element. Tried taking a part and putting back together with no results. What do you guys think the issue is? The persei, the Herc? Would a simple disassemble and thorough cleaning help?

I have had the PERSEI's since the first release. (CHROME, BLACK, RED)
I use the OPHOS and the OMICRON as my drivers now.
My PERSEI heads turn blue and all my batteries are charged.
I have the SR 71 & the 74 which I love the power for sure.
My 2.4 won't even work on a PERSEI TOP so don't feel bad.
"G" must know why I bet.

@Sleepin in CA is rebuilding my K.I.S.S. cart so I can use my SHATTER.

In the meantime I'm glad to have the smaller units to get by!
(I load them with BLONDE CRUMBLE)
Shatter for the K.I.S.S. and HERCULES.

Let me know what is the issue?
I want to use my HERCULES again.
For SHATTER I haven't found anything better!

I will try my HAMMER TOP this morning!

Possible the rod doesn't make contact with the golden pin (+). Have you try to take off the rod, clean it and re-install ?
Have you tested the Persei voltage ?

does the 74 have the same extension connector at the bottom of the heat shield, as the 71?

if so, that is where i had a connection problem. i needed the center contacts to push out the tiniest bit more and all was good

If your talking about the black part that connects to the top and the heat shield screws onto they are different. the SR71 has screws and can be adjusted the SR74 is springloaded and can not be adjusted.

Why does a 2.4 cart work perfectly fine with a OMICRON or OPHOS however not the PERSEI?

@itschad usually I just roll up a small ball and melt it in on coil now....2 second coil burn so it sticks/melts in. Wipe off anything above cup lip.....install top .......vape. However when starting its best to use a dabber and a bic. Just fan it like you want to warm it with the lighter until it starts to drip a drop at a time. This sounds hard, but is really easy and weve all done it at some time I'm sure. Just dont hold direct heat to the wax for an extended period and youll be fine.

@Tutex clean it up man, probably have wax between contacts, or rod is out of line a little. Either way youll probably fix it with a cleaning and reassembly.

=)

you know if I could have done it all over I would have just got the Persei. it can do everything you need and run pretty much all of there attachments. The pens you listed will give you decent hits for oil/shatter and they are pretty discrete. As far as carts I'd get a few of the 3.7 kiss
I'll put in a dissenting view from most here. I would highly recommend starting with an Omicron over the Persei. It's a smaller investment, and gives you the chance to see if this vape is right for you. Not that I don't love my Persei, but it's not for everyone. Getting an Omicron will allow you to get to know the w9 system and see if it fits your needs. Also I would stick with the standard 2 ohm carts at the beginning. Kiss carts are great, but they are a little easier to burn out than the regular carts ( just my experience). Also the Omicron is more stealthy than the Persei, if it matters.

Once you decide to make the jump to the flagship Persei, get some AW IMR batteries and Hercules attachment. The Herc works well with all kinds of concentrates if they have any solidity to them. Herc also handles less pure extracts like full melt, hash, etc. better than the Kiss carts. Again, just my opinion.
@vakedcow just wanted to throw my two cents, just grab the persei/herc 3.7 combo and itll be everything youve ever wanted... even if you dont realize it at first. Went through sooooooo many portables before this, and I cant tell you how amazed i am at this device. Follow instructions to clean it and put it together right, and it roars! Its definitely the most durable vape pen and the versatility of the herc is incredible. Dont waste time/money fussing with anything else unless you really like the kiss cart style setup. I wish I had jumped on the persei/herc combo a long time ago, and i probably wouldve saved a few hundred dollars in pieces and concentrates.

Now, after all that slobbering over the herc, definitely looking at new battery options...
Currently running persei-herc 3.7 with the stock aw imr 18650 1600 and also succesfully running tenergy 18650 2600 as well. Tenergy lasts noticeably longer, possibly performs weaker toward the latter half of the battery, which id say is to be expected. Looking to add a couple more 18650 cells to the mix and wondering if any out there have some preference? I know they stress using the batteries they recommend, but im getting away with a shit tenergy battery atm andlooking to more third party batts.

Thanks W9 crew, the herc has blown all expectations out of the water!!

thanks for all the great feedback guys !

now to digest that :spliff:

Are you using one single battery ? If so then I have no idea ..
He is using an old top with the flathead screw pin in it. I think the solder broke on the bottom of his screw (the usual fail point on those older tops). I confirmed this from an image he sent me.

Gonna have to send it in...

Not my first rodeo!

1 battery! 18650

Going to use the tester now!
Try putting your tester ( meter) on the cart also. Maybe clean the center contact on the cart and Persei with ISO on a cotton swab.
It seems like maybe the center contact is not making up.:2c:

I was thinking it could be the little spring contact. Can oil possibly get down into that area? It was a concern i had watching the video of the Sr74. My first thought was teh 71 without the spring would be a more reliable unit.

@Tutex few things to start checking,

1. Is the Battery Charged?
2. Does the top work with a regular cartridge?
3. Have you tried using the Herc on the Persei to see if it fires up without any of the PTFE pieces on it?
