The Lotus Vaporizer

Team NO SLEEP!
My mendo lighter is failing quickly. I am using 10x Iolite Butane, and it won't fill up more than 1/4 tank or so... I am countlessly refilling it and tied to the butane tank. Going to have to find a different torch soon to before it dies.

How long do the stock torches typically last before they go kaput?

There's been plenty of times that I've almost clicked the button on my lighter with the cap on. Would this melt the cap? Im not sure what it's made of.

The lighter cap from a basic Honest is plastic, and it shouldn't melt because the flame shouldn't be sustained any longer than a couple of seconds.

You need a certain air/butane ratio, and if the lighter does in fact ignite between the cap and ignitor, the air would be spent and none would be remaining. Alternatively, the butane stream isn't large enough to ignite since the cap is on (if you turn your lighter all the way down, it won't ignite).

My standard Honest torches are usually working like new after many months of use. I had very few failures since I got my Lotus. Always on the look for a better quality one but since they work so nice I still don't feel like forging any cash at that direction!
They always light up with one click and you just need a fingernail and a second to adjust the flame. I use standard Colibri butane and never had any problems. They are usually get picked up by friends and lost rather than breaking down. Only once, my bro pressed the ignition button very clumsy when it was very hot after consecutive hits and the button went flying. Don't overheat. Keep a couple in hand for successive hits...
Long live the cheapo Honests. Get them by the dozen and forget about it! :D

Was at my weekly poker game and a friend of mine got his Black Leaf lazy sunny afternoon inline. It is beautiful and works great with the Lotus. Expect lots of compliments with a setup like this! Its on my wishlist for sure! http://www.planetvape.ca/black-leaf-inline-diffuser.html

I've been wanting one of these for a long time, its the only inline style I find attractive and it looks like it was made to pair with the Lotus. One day I will get one as well... been trying to lay off buying glass for just a bit...

Long live the cheapo Honests. :D
Funny you say that?
My expensive torches are lame.
My cheapest one is the best?
I had this old ash collector with a broke off adapter stuck in it.
@Quetzalcoatl gave me some pointers for how to save this old retro!

This setup is simple however works really well!

Cheap!

Sounds like you need to bleed the lighter before refiling it...
here's a helpful vid:
I bought one of these to bleed and adjust my lighters...
Thank you!
I might be able to save my lighters?

I finally caved and ordered mine today, just the WPA kit. I'll hold off on the $44 AL stem, got an 18mm j hook in mind to fit the rest of my collection. Otherwise I would have just ordered their j hook, but it only comes in 14mm. I have the 18->14 adapter already...
I've also been eyeing the D020 (or whatever it is) at DHgate. I could use a spare dome anyway and I broke my last glass nail last week. I only use them occasionally so I can't justify good TI pieces. It would cost me half the price of the whole piece with those included just to get another glass nail/dome set.

I think I'm catching a bit of the dreaded GAS. :o

Edit: I've lost my link for the j Hook, anyone got one handy for a J Hook where the GoG connection is at least 3"-4" below the mouthpiece? Looking for 18mm.

In honor of winter fading away I decided to go all Frosty the Stoned Man style yesterday......

Found this Corn Cob Pipe at a local store for $3.99 and thought hmmm...

So at first I just threw in a 18 to 14 reducer and tried it this way....

I could not believe the smoothness and vapor that followed. I really was just going to throw this up as a joke/homage to this thread and old man winter, but after that first try I decided that I would see what I could do to make it better.

I whittled away at the bowl so that the 18-14 reducer would fit in nice and then threw a small piece of high temp silicone tubing over the adapter to make a nice seal around the top. Now I can see the lotus nicely for lighting and the thing hits just as nice as the aluminum stem. (Even better with that homemade feeling you get!)

Cannabic Creativity at its finest.

Now I am off researching better corn cob pipe options that offer filter-less removable bent stems and standard 19mm chambers (bowls). So now I have VAS, GAS, and CCPAS (Corn Cob Pipe Acquisition Syndrome)....

It never ends.....:worms:

Stick the lighter in the freezer for a few minutes prior to filling it too. You'll be able to get more fuel in when it's cold.

When I use my other vapes I am finding that I wish I was using my Lotus. I told my pal the other day that if I had tried my Lotus first I possibly would have never purchased another vape. Sure, that was I lie but the Lotus is the best by far if you are looking for the best taste, results, and control.
Even better than the FF????
