Recyclers - Discussion and Appreciation

I think that would probably be defined as cruel and unusual punishment but I'm sure everyone else will want to see them so make sure you share. Maybe you could put a warning at the start of the post so @clouded vision won't have to see it

I just pulled the trigger on this. I'll post some photos after I receive it.
Just received the Atomic recycler. It seems decent for $169 shipped but I have yet to put it to use.

Anybody know about how long it takes Colie to ship when you buy from their artfire.com page?

I think it depends if he has the piece made or not. Normally between 5-10 days before you have it but I've always bought directly from him. I imagine it's the same lead times though. If he's got to make it custom a little longer than that, I ordered a 2 color recycler on the 20th and I'm waiting patiently (as I can lol).

So question for the experts: if you could only buy one bargain recycler between the atom that was just posted or the $199 collie that was posted right after? Looking to make my first glass purchase in a few years and can't decide which is better. Also open to any suggestion under $200

It will be used mainly for vaping with my solo and the occasional dab session. And just want whichever has the better cyclone action since that's seemsto be the whole point. Thanks for the advice and great thread.

@PhotoRider God damn talk about causing some glass envy! Beautiful collection man

I used a collie for a while..... lets just say I would never get one again. SLOPPY, didn't recycle, too long of a splash guard, base wasn't even round. It looked like he didn't even look at the piece after throwing it together and sent it out. Not sure about the other recycler you're look at but, just figured I would throw my two cents out there.

@sasNW regarding the Atomic recycler, I'm happy with it for the price. I do wish the stem came a bit higher up as it does on the collie. I have to put just a touch less water in it than I'd like to in order to avoid the material getting wet due to high water level (my bowl is raised due to the adapters I use so this helps quite a bit). It also came with a broken glass nail & the shipper had nothing to say about it/no response so far, although this issue can happen with any piece.
I let my neighbor hit my PNP through the Atomic last night & he was blown away. I will post another vid of the atomic when I get a chance but it might not be for another week or more (when work slows down).

I too was looking for same specs in my first recycler.. Have yet to pull trigger, still trying to make my decision.. But I did PM a member here whom also had a Collie recycler.. They were not pleased with it just as @ogcook stated in their opinion. Lots of options out there and if you save $200 for a nice piece of glass may as well hold onto that and save another $100-150 and get a quality recycler.. Most quality recyclers seem to go around $300+

Edit: I know it's easier said than done @sasNW saving extra and not spending the already accumulated $200, especially if you are working on a Strict budget..

@JSteez4205 @sasNW I ended up paying just over 300 for my Earl Jr. but it as like night and day how much nicer it is! And to actually use a piece that properly recycles and gives the feeling that they provide. If you can't find water test videos that they will put up, it probably doesn't work too well.
Need I remind you?
