Hi G
Glad to see the SR-71 is up and running! I will be sending my old version in Monday. Is there a discount code for the pre-ordering the Nibbler XL?
Thanks
Kevin

I worship the  Nibbler XL video, and it's made me curious:

How can I avoid combustion (w/o Iris 2) when I start using my SR-71? I guess it partially depends on whether I put oil and herb in together, or just oil or herb alone?

Ok guys so there is a slight issue with the Nibblers's airflow.

Since we used the same design from the Nibbler X I made a slight fuck up on not making the changes needed for the airflow, as it stands now the Nibbler works with the Hercules only with an addition of a third oring placed on top of the Hercules.

Please dont worry, i have talked to our engineer about getting mouth pieces made that have the oring placements so no issues will come from that. How ever there will be a slight delay.

Hey G, are the Nibbler XL's that were pre-ordered (I think you said there were 18 of them?) going to ship out on August 10th with an o-ring included or are you holding off for a bit?

We are going to try but seems like its gonna be put off a bit, how ever we are on it on making extra mouth pieces that will have the oring section on it. This way all will be best.

Also the water line that bob has in his Nibbler XL is to much we like to fill the water about 3 - 4cm above the air ports.

has been working so far, but i also don't mind the occasional kiss, it's not like i'm combusting here ;)

Button aka power control, don't over heat till the point of combustion...

both true, the more oil you have, the less dark your abv and/or the more oil soaked your herb will get ;)
but if you have no oil, button control. a little oil buffer is usually a good idea, helps it vape more evenly.

I have noticed on the Nibbler-X if the water isn't right water can somehow get in the cart area and flood my omicron cart. Of course user error and solved long time ago, but I saw this happen in addition to the kiss of death from a bong :) like Bob says its vape water which is much better than combustion bong water :D

If I have budder that hardens into a crumbly mess, do you think I will be able to fill up the cart if small enough to fit or do I have to melt it into liquid?

The Hercules? If its the Hercules just stuff it in.
I'm talking about the regular carts.

Does the cart have to be vertically straight all the time if using waxes? I'm bringing my persei on a hike when it comes

When you get the Persei use the funnel to load, when loading make sure all the crumble is melted down, once that's done slowly prime the cart and you should be able to go, now always cool the cart down and try to keep vertical.

I think im done with D9V products. I dont intend this to be a bash post, just my experiences the good and bad. I start with a v2 omi which I liked enough to jump up to the persei after using the omi for a year or so. I loved the persei, I use 2.4 carts mostly but they always gave me this tickling cough that was at times painful. Eventually I only used the persei with the nibbler x but still got a little cough everytime I used it that wuld last 5-10 minutes. I also bought the 510 adapter and ss kit ao I could run a shorty setup
with an ecig tank from ibtanked. I originally bought the ss ecig tank from d9 but it leaked so much despire my best efforts that I had tofind a tank a little more reliable. Nbd I figured ecig tanks just werent d9's thing. Anyway ive been using the ibtanked tank with no issues fora fewmonths until tonight. First I was using a 2.4 cartwith an aw battery with the dual head top and the light stayed on even with the button depressed and blue out a fresh cart and no matter what I do it just lights up as soon as I put the top on. Well just my luck a couple hours later I filled another fresh 2.4 put a fresh battery in and screwed on the single head top. Started lightly pulling air through and pulsing the botton every half sec or so. I get a horrible taste in my mouth, start coughing like crazy feel the persei heating up in my hand. Shit was smoking through the button so I unscrewed the top. Thought it might just be a fucjed up battery so I put a dif battery in and the same shit happened.

Would the crumble fall through holes before I heat it?

Now there's a sales slogan for you......

My technique is to melt it down in the tool, using the same technique as normal (hold the bottom, keep it moving, preheat the center well before the goods....). The wax will end up getting melted over and over anyway before it can get to the wicks to be fed in.

No, properly loaded you can safely invert it for reasonable periods of time in use, it flows very slow overall. Just be sure it's upright the majority of the time.

I've used BUDDER, CRUMBLE, BRITTLE, HONEY COMB in a 2.4 cart.
If it will melt it will load!

However the HERCULES or the latest SR71 as it's now called can do SHATTERS and HASH.
I still use the old HERCULES for my weird concentrates.
I do have a 5.0 cart loaded with SHATTER however I like the HERCULES better for shatters.

The SR71 you can just load it with stuff and medicate!
I' get some cheap wax (TAFFY) that I would never load into a cart however my HERCULES can process this without issues.

The carts work however your material must be clean and well purged to function well.

If you enjoy concentrates as I do then the SR71 is a must!

About to send out my old hercs. Just an FYI for everyone sending them back...make sure you get signature confirmation. Don't wanna lose your herc now.

Good point. Say G, can we surrender our old units to DubC (and get instant 'credit' and save shipping)? I understand replacements still come from LA when they're ready.

It would be appreciated if we can, thanks for considering it.
