i havent had much time to look into this guy but i think im missing something... i just watched the video of enrico on the first page and when he dumps the herb it still appears as if there is more left in it. isnt the idea that it vapes ALL of the trichs at once?

what am i missing?

I'll take a pic of my abv. They look like chocolate to me.

yes sir that's A ok with me :)

is there such thing as an 18 to 18mm? thats what I would need to procure.
You could maybe get a 14 Teflon piece to swap out for your 18 if it's causing you issues? I know they don't recommend removing the Teflon piece but that's what I did (my atomizer got stuck a few times, and I put a hairline crack in my tube getting it out ... not through and after a few weeks doesn't seem to be getting worse so I think I'm ok ... but still ... after that I got a replacement 14 Teflon piece and started using an 18/14 reducer from PV (once the Teflon expands, the reducer just stays stuck on it ... you can't remove it until it cools if you inserted it when cool and let it heat up ... lifting to clear after that is a breeze)

Does anyone know how long it takes the unit to cool down until it is touchable?
Would depend on ambient temperature, air flow, and how hot you were using it at ... that being said ... I'd say a good half an hour anyways before it could be packed away! (the atomizer cools quicker than that ... but not sure about the Apollo heater ... it's designed to retain heat)

Maybe 5 minutes without a fan?

Don't touch the ti nail version for at least 10-15 minutes

Mofo nicked me when I have napkins draped over it
So that I can grab it.

Really? That quick? I'm surprised ... seems to me it takes longer (but I haven't actually timed it as my Sublimator has permanently established residence at home in my workshop ... since I've been working 16+ hour days for the last week or two ... I'm losing track ... my Sublimator hasn't even been turned off in days .... been running 24/7 .... Cloud has been in the workshop at the Lake, and my MiniVAP + Concentrate vapes have been travelling with me ...)

Man, I really wish I had gone the 14mm route.

My 18mm teflon doesn't create a fully airtight seal even when fully heated. I like the idea of using a GonG reducer, too.

JCat, how much was the replacement teflon piece? I might just go that route.

I think the Teflon pieces are $10 (according to Enrico) ... I got a good deal on mine (PV probably felt bad because I cracked my Blaze tube a little I just bought from them, and I was placing an order anyways for some other stuff from them)

Edit: Stu, I highly recommend going that route ... I know PV has recommended against removing the Teflon pieces, they are supposed to stay put, however, my 18mm piece had loosened some and wobbled a little and the whole assembly seemed looser (probably from jiggling it to get it out every time to clear) ... and since switching to the 14mm piece, it's rock solid with no wiggle/wobble at all and has stayed that way so far.

You could just wrap some teflon tape around the teflon piece to make it a little thicker so it fits tightly. Just an idea that is cheaper and doesn't involve waiting for a shipment.

I was noticing that the smallest part of the inner diameter of the atomizer is perfectly-sized for a standard pipe cleaner. I would wager that this is not an accident.

Oh man ... that was a great one ... I love the East coast ... so peaceful out there ... reminds me of my Northern home :) ... every time I'm out in Halifax and PEI I wonder why I don't move out there ... no one is in a hurry ... I could really use a break from this insanely fast paced life of mine!!! Great video Enrico ... you had me cracking up with the skateboarding intro ... also had me thinking of how up/down it is in Halifax ... when I was a kid visiting my cousin there and was super into skateboarding at the time (it was the late 80's ... yeah yeah ... I'm dating myself a little ) I just loved that they had all these great hills! Every other road had an incline that was damn near suicidal!

nice, tommii
you should try popping the carb (if it's sticky use 2 18-18 adapters, also less heat on ur piece) so that they can clear it easier!
