Is there any reason you guys are going for the whip kit over the transfer wand?

Tbh, I don't really see much need for the whip kit, an extreme q elbow would be cheaper and gives substantially the same function.

IMO, for direct hits, the transfer wand is more desirable than a whip,
and for glass, the WPA is more desirable than a whip with a WPA...

If I wanted to have a custom wpa made for me, all I would need to tell the artist is to include ice pinches on the inside to fit the 0.583 in/14.8mm (measurements from LSV site) screens and the diameter of the opening of the wpa, where the LSV actually connects to? Anyone know what the measurements of the opening is?

This thread has been getting a lot of love lately. I'm thinking I will pull the trigger on this thing as a Cloud backup and as what I reach for while in between Clouds. For those of you who have one, do you feel like this unit is well suited for that? I'll be hitting it almost exclusively with my Ion.

And where do you think is the best place to get a wpa if mine doesn't come with it?

Thanks guys...I look forward to joining the conversation!

I tried having a custom WPA blown from a blower on BM, and it didn't turn out too well...
I described what I wanted, and sent a couple of pics of the stock WPA, but it ended up being a bit too draggy, and I never really use it...

IMO 7th floor directly would be the best place to get a WPA.
If you need something custom, they are really easy to deal with, and if you don't need anything custom, I'd at least go with someone who is re-selling a 7th floor WPA.

What a guy!
I agree with Fred. No reason to start Jerry-rigging whips and custom WPAs. If I was going to get any type of custom glass designed for the LSV, or any vape for that matter, I'd wait to have the vape in hand and used it for a while so I could see what I really wanted. And if I'm not using theLSV with a bubbler I use it with the transfer wand. Great wand hash comes out of it too.

Sticks welcome to the LSV thread. I almost exclusively use my LSV with my Lev FC bubbler. The LSV almost begs for a big heavy hitting bubbler with zero drag. I've not used it with an Ion but my guess is that the experience will be the same. I can tell you I have loved my LSV since I've gotten it.

NewVape,
I ordered an all silver one, with a 14mm water pipe adapter. I didn't get any accessories yet, but I kind of wish I had gotten the whip kit to go along with it. You?
Got a blue and silver LSV. A blue whip transfer, and duff jar. Can't wait!

Well as far as the whip goes for me its not an either/or situation. I want to try both. I dont see how the LSV could have any worse performance with the whip than the SSV (although I don't know first hand). They are essentially the same device with a different case. I just wanted the option of eventually adding a tamer or aquavape. My understanding is that is not possible with the wand. Also I have a tiny female I spend time with and think it will be easier to hold a whip and WP as opposed to a LSV and WP. And as to why I chose the 7th floor over the EQ whip, it was just a matter of the 7th floor matching my blue LSV and me not knowing any better. Maybe an EQ whip is in my future.

Hey Fred, anyway you could PM me pics or even better, a (skim) milk vid of your custom wpa? Not a total necessity I have a custom one made. I just got a sick mini tube by Kind and it has some beautiful graal work on it that I wouldn't mind having matched on a wpa

I'll get some pics of it for you tomorrow :)

It's different from a normal WPA, in that it has a 18mm male joint instead of the female spherical joint, but aside from that I was just trying to replicate a stock WPA.

Anyways, I couldn't get the screen to fit at all like it did for my stock WPA, and ended up using a smaller solo screen, but I didn't think it was entirely stable...
But then I realized I could get a ssv screen to sit perfectly in the male joint, (pretty much the exact same as the screen setup on the transfer wands), so I used it like that.

I have a 18mm male-female 45 degree adapter, popped a ssv screen in the male joint, and now use that a my WPA for my glass that has a DI joint. :)

I guess I should re-form my WPA recommendations;
(IMO)
If you want something with a female spherical joint, ala the stock WPA, go for 7th floor.
If you are happy having a 18mm male joint, then so long as the screen fits in there, go for it :)

[im sure some of this doesn't make sense without pics...
I'll add some tomorrow:)]

EDIT:
I had an idea for something cool, do any of you knowledgable folks know if a Bucky ball (one of those little desk toy magnet things) would off gas anything if it was in the vapor path? (it would be in the herb)

Quite similar indeed

I actually just had fishbone make me an adapter that looks identical to that one so I can use it the same way :D

Frederick McGuire,
So where are guys getting your beautiful glass? Online? Never bought glass on the internet. These LSV videos have amazing möbius and leviathan pieces. Unfortunately my local HS doesn't carry much other than ROOR. I would love to pair my LSV with a low drag bubbler.

thanks...you got any techniques for using it with small, efficient loads?
I've never really weighed any of my loads, but what I usually do, is fill the WPA (All of my WPAs are the "short" version) about half way, which is a bit more than a Solo Stem.

Even with about 1/2 as much in the WPA (which is basically just enough to get the top of the herb level with the top of the pinches) I can get nice hits, just less of them, and maybe a bit less dense.
Basically, so long as the screen is covered, the LSV will do it's thing nicely IME.

For really small loads I'd just crank up the temp a bit.

Most of my new stuff now I get from BoroMarket.
Outside of that, I've bought a couple of pieces from aqualabtechnologies.com,
and Bought a couple from the classifieds right here at FC :)

I love the use of a 18/18 male adapter with the LSV. Probably a lot cheaper than the WPA and certainly much simpler. It also seems to heat the flowers faster the the LSV WPA.

i sprinkle some to cover the screen and hit and stir then hit again. here is a really old vid of mine

Love the vid I am definitely jealous of your set up. I want the same thing with just a larger bubbler. Is that a grav ash catcher? What do you think of it? I was eyeing them up I really like the idea of throwing an ice cube in there.

Bravo sir!

I've gotten some of my glass at a LHS, and most of it through FC. Check out the glass forum, a lot of good info about where to get glass there. There are a number of glass workers who get great reviews. I've ordered from a few of them, they usually have stock stuff on their websites and of course will make custom pieces. Be sure to read the glass 101 at the top of the thread. I also recommend not spending a lot on your first piece. Find out what kind of setup you like before spending the big $.

Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
My LSV should arrive tomorrow :D

Just in time to sit back, vape and see what MT does with its cannabis laws...
