Arizer Solo

Then they must not be authorized? The MAP is the minimum advertised price which is known to be $229, which is what PV sells it for (before the FC discount). Personally I think the warranty process would go quicker through arizer with their 48hr turnaround but i guess it just depends on where you live.

Gotta say pretty impressed so far with the durability of this babies, you don't hear of too many biting the dust at all. I've never really had a real problem with any except for the early m102 robot fart issue.

PIU is authorized afaik. Even if they weren't for some reason, I know that Randy and crew @ Puff It Up would make it right. And probably a hell of a lot faster than dealing directly with Arizer. I've bought probably 7 or 8 Solos from PIU, and even though none of them have had warranty issues, I am confident that should they arise, PIU would take care of it.

I thought i saw it selling for $ 180 at another site , but it's late , will try searching again tomorrow .
Plus I want the Power adaptor too . for usage while charging .

It's late for me now .
Have a good 1

Poonman, the power adapter doesn't allow for usage while charging. It only allows usage while bypassing the battery (still uses a trinkle). IMO it's a must have.

Just ordered this bad boy from Puffitup using the promo code.

$70 dollars off?! I couldn't resist. Have a lot of reading to do about the stems since I've glanced over posts and the airflow seems to be the most discussed topic by members who also own one.

Congrats! you're going to enjoy it...wish I also got it from 160$ ;/

Yes the airflow is the biggest issue with this vaporizer hence the discussion... a solo is not complete without Ed's Wood/PVHES stems :)

Yes Drxx, all you need is the PVHES and you don't need to worry about airflow. Or if you're into wood, Ed's wood stems.

Once again, I would like to jump out and disagree with you.
It's not about "into wood" its more about durability and the fact that it won't break + the look, feel, taste are simply better with wood.
and if you use a bong with a 14mm joint, its fits perfectly without an adapter...

I have an EQ and I stopped counting how many glass parts I've broken(Cyclo bowl, elbow, mouthpiece for whip, heater cover...) but so far nothing broke since I gotten to solo...I accept the fact that I might break the PVHES one day...but I will always have my wood stem :)

I need a GONG for the PVHES...tho IMO - I want to see a glass stem with the same size as the wood stem...it will be interesting if its fits well with no adapters...

Not really sure what you are disagreeing with here mosh, all I said were that the pvhes and ed's have much better airflow. Sure there are other advantages to the wood such as they don't break, but there are disadvantages like cleaning/hygiene which prevent me from going that route. The taste is also subjective so you can't just say the wood tastes better. Maybe for you, but I prefer the purity of glass.

Regardless, I too have broken many EQ parts, but never a glass aroma tube for some reason. Perhaps they are easier to handle/clean, i'm not sure but it's never been an issue. Or maybe i'm just more careful. Now that the stock stems mean nothing to me, i'll be ultra careful of the pvhes.

I disagreed about why you should get a wood stem :)

Being ultra careful is not good enough sometimes...it only takes one mistake :D

Stock stem should be recycled ;)

You disagreed that better airflow isn't a reason to get a wood stem? lol I know there are more beneficial things, I was just speaking about that one benefit. Regardless...lol

Stock stems are good for backup...but can be "rocked" for acceptable airflow sometimes..

Hell yeah man me too! Finally pulled the trigger this morning and I can't wait to see what all the hype is about.

Congrats!

I'm kicking myself for not ordering that wood stem along with it!

I'll probably end up ordering a stem from PV. ;)

What's the best way to go about cleaning the solo stems and actually being able to reclaim and vape the oil? I don't want to let anything go to waste.

I did the hot milk thing the other day and had the best results for edibles I've ever had. I nuked the milk until boiling with the stem in it. Then stirred it up a lot and pulled out the stem. Added chocolate and drank it up...yummy. the stem ended up being quite clean, except for some duff stuck on it, and the airflow was improved.

I have multiple stems in rotation, and like to just soak them in ISO for days then take them out add some salt to the stem and some new iso to shake it up and rinse with hot water (separate from the infused iso that it soaked in of course). Then, when my soaking jar of iso is looking nice and yellow/green, I'll do a QWISO run with trimmings/buds/kief/whatever I've got, and play with some oil/concentrates for a while.

Does a body good ! :D

How Many stems did you boil? How dirty we're they - was there enough resin to form a puddle, or did it just look like colored glass?

Just wondering how to figure out dosages. Would one dirty stem be equal to 1 brownie made from recipe X, or 2 cannagels, or whatever your normal edible dose is?

I have noticed that since I have been able to vapebong with my solo, the amount resin that builds up is quite dramatic, compared to when I would only use it as a direct draw vape.

I have the og 2 hole bent stems. Would the straight stems gather less resin than the bent ones? I would think so, but if anyone has both could you let us know?

someone here said the bent ones collect more due to the curve in the airpath. I used one stem (I have only used one with the Solo ever) and it was a good amber brown from the bowl to past the bend, with lots of particles in it. I couldn't help you at all on dosages, as this was the first successful attempt at reclaimation I have ever done (not including the ssv wand hash...that shit always works!). I actually liken the solo stem to the ssv wand and would probably clean a straight solo stem similar to how I did the ssv stems to get wand hash, but a curved one would be a little trickier.

I also do the iso soak (99%) and then when it gets dark, I run it through a coffee filter, I evap off the Iso, and purge it on low heat (coffee cup warmer in a SS cup) and collect the remaining oil for use. It will completely stop bubbling and look smooth when purged.
