Discontinued ThermoVape Evolution

I just ordered my thermovape revolution along with the DART adapter. I chose it over the T1 for the sleeker form factor. The only vape i ever used was the MFLB. A comparison would be much appreciated. Currently on a 1 month T break, so its going to be great to come back to a sick vape. Thanks TV

I did not have any problem. Are they pushed down all the way in the sleave? The AW are slightly taller but I still have a lot of room to push up. They are 3.2v. They have the same voltage range as the tenergy. I bet they are basically the same inside.

Thanks Bruno. Yea, I made sure they were seated all the way down properly. On my aw's the top post is taller than my tenergy's so combining both makes them noticeably taller and they only work if I unscrew the top a bit. When you compare both sets in the sleeve the aw's stick out beyond the threads of the Rev body while the tenergy's sit level where the threads begin. At first I wondered if we had different batteries because I do see in your vid that you do screw them all the way down. Very odd the same battery can have different terminal tops? Here is where I got them.

I don't think I've mentioned today just how much I am loving the Evolution!! :luv: Right now I have 3.7v running, and I love the taste, and smell of freshly vaping herb. I am getting to where even smelling burned bud offends the nose. My boyfriend still smokes... what are ya gonna do? I guess he sees this as "my thing" and didn't jump into it like I did. More for me! haha

I followed the link, but it just leads to a Page Not Found error.

I also tried searching for 17670s on your site, but didn't turn up any results either.

Any chance they might be back on the site in the near future?

Thanks :)

Odd, I just bought three of the 17670s from them, but not only is the link not working, I can't find them listed where they were listed before. Seems like if they were simply sold out, the page itself would still be there. They had them for $9.99 each.

Yeah, they're sold out! Same thing happened before and TV told me they sold out. Don't they have the best prices, too?!

Do any of you fellow users have a way to quickly load the Evo?
I use these dudes: http://www.amazon.com/SE-Small-Pill...1E4C/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1337443736&sr=8-1 , but do you guys have anything that can hold more?

Edit: If someone decides to try out the containers, some of them are prone to having bits of shredded aluminum in them... Be sure to clean them.

Great find! One idea I had is to use a piece of straw to make a disposable loader. Cut the straw to length desired, crimp and heat seal one end, fill with desired amount, and crimp and heat seal the other end. Now you have a ready made "dose" that you can fill and then just discard the used container. I have not tried it yet, but I think this would work great for concerts or other situations like that.

Whuut? Dude, that idea is great! I like the disposable idea... I just thought of something else, too. The containers that TV puts their Darts in... Those are perfect. TV sells them for $2.50 though... Sort of expensive, I think.

Yes the 17670's are sold out, we are getting another batch early next week. The page will go live when they come in and are available.

Sorry for the confusion.

Cheers

Compare MFLB to DART and Evolution? They're all vapes, and MFLB and Evolution both do herbs. But really that's about where it ends IMO. The MFLB is an entirely different kind of vape than Evolution, it uses a different technique and has different trade offs. A major one is it's very easy to clean and basically pretty robust and 'user proof'. MFLB is neither of those. Both have power supply limitations. Evolution will do bubble and kief, unlike MFLB. IMO Evolution is much more like the VG than MFLB. DART is a concentrate only deal and noting at all like MFLB.

You're in for some great adventures, but I'd advise against trying to carry over skills without careful consideration.

i use small jars or vials with screw top lids. diameter is bigger than the Evo core, but its pretty easy to just roll it and small bits just fall in. works well.

i get them from here
http://www.specialtybottle.com/glassvialsmi.aspx

i look for blue first. if that isnt available i get amber.

I live like 30 minutes from them. They have some nice glass jars and vials. I am going to pick some up. I wonder if they have a physical store front... or just online only. I will have to check and see.

I just placed an order online for now. I was looking for small oil vials. I also like the cobalt jars they will fit my caddy and be better then the clear ones. I figured by the time I spend gas money to get down the it will cost as much as shipping.

What is shipping like at Specialty Bottle? How much to ship just a handful of little vials and bottles?

Quite reasonable, IMO. I'm not sure about this 'handfull' bit, I always end up ordering a few neat tin boxes (what you thing stores good in there???). And odd bottles. And this large round mouth jar for AVB.......

I love specialty bottle. I usually order amber glass dropper bottles but they have so much cool stuff . . . shipping is always reasonable, no worries.

lol, this is hilarious, i too vouch for spec. bottle. have ordered tons of their
stuff and it is all quality and reasonably priced. my girl worked as a vet tech for a
place that makes their own tinctures and stuff and they use them as well.

Bob Loblaw,
Glad to hear it. I have run across too many sites like these that seem to charge bottom dollar for the product and then try to drill you with shipping. I will definitely be placing an order with this company.

Ebay stores are the worse for that kind of stuff. Some product for $.50 and shipping of $27.50. Whatever.

Been perfecting my technique this weekend. Abv is not as dark as I would like but I am using less herb to get me there. It hasn't left my side all weekend!

I'm still going back and forth between my T1 and Evo. And I must say, the Evo is great when I can get it to hit like I want, but it can be a frustrating process while I'm trying to pin it down. Sometimes the bottom of the load gets blackened, and near the mouthpiece is a lighter brown with specks of green. I've been experimenting with load size, grind size, hitting techniques, etc.

I usually take my herb ground to a medium grind and load it loosely to the top. I've been using the "3 Step technique" so eloquently described by OF numerous times as a guideline. My first couple hits are always big, no complaints there. I guess my question is any ideas what I can do differently to finish the bowl evenly without starting to scorch the bottom? Once I get over this little hump it'll be even harder to choose which one is my favorite :)

I was having the same problem. I went to my LHS and picked up a glass honeycomb screen. It's about a 1/4" wide and 1/16" thick with about 8 holes that are about a 1/16" in diameter. I put on the bottom and its been working wonders. ABV has been much more even.

Thanks for the idea!
Know of any for sale online that'll fit? I couldn't find many, and none the right size.
