@maremaresing does your finger got hot holding it down? Like too close to the flame. My fear of that is what was holding me back from getting one. I'd love to have the fidget toy of a Zippo.

View attachment 5016Does anyone have experience with this lighter ?, got one ordered as a back up for whenever I can’t use my IH’s
I got one of these in a different color as a gift. It is about the best looking lighter to match a vapcap, imo!
The flame of my model does not stay even. It gets smaller as I use it, no matter how big I make the flame or the filling of the tank. It is most times impossible to get a vapcap to click with it.
Maybe someone has a hint how to make it work correctly?

I read that other users are happy with it, so I think I just got a faulty one.

I might give it away to a smoker as it should still work ok for the short period of time needed to light a joint.

I even got offered a honest torch lighter after. It is less fancy but very reliable up to now.

Nice!!

I prefer my antique pencil torch and a big canister of cheap camping propane on loooooow, particularly when packed to the gills (fins?) w/GRINDER KIEF 😱, like now (4:20 cap engaged!)......:

Just received my Shellshock and Tektonik bodies but my picture won't attach!!!!
I must have lucked out on my Shellshock as it is pretty much airtight unlike others mentioned on the forum. Can't wait to try them out.
I also just checked my shellshock with the airport closed, tip off; and yeah - mine is airtight as well. Sad to hear other's may be experiencing airflow issues (and not sure where the air could be coming in TBH). Perhaps replacement of the drip tip/o-rings, and/or dynavap tip o-rings (or even tip) could fix?

I did think for a moment mine was letting air in when testing by trying to cover the end of the tip, but I realized the issue here was I'm not able to close off the tip with my finger due to the air grooves/cutaways. I find it to be a great stem and purchase fortunately.

Not in the slightest. The lighter itself doesn't get hot either. Plus, I really like the click on the zippo. It feels purposely designed with a buttery resistance then click, vs my vertigo which seems like an afterthought (though nice lighter). The insert actually made me realize "oh yeah, zippo has the care to put out a high quality product".

Anyway I like mine, and currently have it in a limited edition zippo from 1959.

I definitely get more than one bowl with the Aomai, but I agree with the consensus that the fuel capacity is very low in comparison to say, the common single jet Eagle torches with the 4 chamber tank.

I do think it’s worth having for true pocket ability or very low tolerance users, but there are better daily driver options. The flame lock on it is kind of nice for heating a Dynavap.

Anything worth doing, is worth overdoing.
Got me an Aomai too. How could you not? They're just so damn cute. I like that you don't have to keep an ignition button depressed while torching. So easy to use. Once lit, you can hold it like a pencil and direct that flame with great precision.

In fact, I don't even use it with my DV's as I prefer IH's, but I keep it around for all kinds of other uses.

It is wee.

You need to purge it, friend.
Thanks, I'll see if it helps. Would prefer to use my Zippo, even with way more refills.

Question for all you Dynavap experts, 'cause I still get confused by all the different configurations:
I have a omnivap XL (early 2019 model). I kind of have my eye on a rosarium 2020 m. Looks small compared to the XL though. Will I notice a difference between these two, or will it be minimal? I keep reading about the improved airflow on the 2020.

IME omni 2018-2019 has more open airflow compared to the 20M. where do you keep reading about the opposite?
also if you like the pretty colors titanium can be anodized and/or heat treated.

edit: new versions of omni, hydravong and dynacoil in the works i think, new version M possibly announced in march? ... there's plenty to look forward to if there's an itch in your wallet ... but i admit the colored M is hard to resist.

Thanks, very clear now. I figured the omni has plenty airflow, but yeah all sorts of reviews mention the improved airflow of the 2020 M, so it got me wondering. Your omni looks v cool in those colors!
