Hmmmmm . . . . yep @KeroZen, I'm now thinking the silicone is possibly the culprit (so maybe not electrical at all).

Never smelled silicone quite like that.

Currently giving it another hot soapy soak to see if I can get rid of this smell.

I really wanna try this thing out! :science:

Will report back

Guys I have been carrying the cap daily since I received it, in different pants pockets, shirt pockets, different bags, carrying in my hand. Awesome vape except in one area, back pocket while driving, i always seem to activate it. while it's in my rear pocket as im driving im hitting bumps in the roads whether it's completely off or in stand by mode the cap can turn on, this has happened twice already so dont do this. Put it in front pocket instead. It doesn't get so hot that it burns me but I do feel it very warm on my butt, and you wouldn't want to get pulled over by the police and car smelling like herb. Not a big deal just something to be aware of. I still like this cap very much, it's the epitome of stealth.

I never carry anything in my rear pocket unless standing up . Sounds pretty uncomfortable.

I sat on the back porch last night after a really tough day. I've been fighting getting sick. I did 2.5 heat cycles, going from lowest to highest temp. It was a pleasurable ritual. It's been a while since I've had a session vape. But this morning, I went for a different vape that delivers the medicine quicker. This vape is not a cloud machine, but it's more like a leisurely stroll. I've also enjoyed watching tv in my living room while sipping on it.

I have no feelings about the black model beyond its stealth. I was hoping for the blue version, but even that didn't seem like that nice of a color. I don't find the color options to be very attractive.

O.K, I soaked the silicone part in hot soapy water for a while but then it tasted & smelled of washing-up liquid, so I gave it a good hot water rinse followed by a hot pure water soak. After drying it I left it overnight to air.

I feel the smell from the silicone is now definitely reduced but it is certainly still there. Puffing on an empty oven at max-temp tastes pretty horrible in both my own and another's opinion - though it is not as bad as it was previously.

And so far, even if I puff on it with the mouthpiece completely removed, I can still taste the vaporizer & I really don't like it.

In the past I have mostly used vapes made from wood, glass, SS or Ti - so perhaps that is why this is so noticeable to me.

My Mighty had a 'new' smell to begin with (mostly from the CU) but I feel that went away after a couple of burn-offs & a wash or two - and I don't recall it tasting as nasty as this at any point.

Still has bit of a taste to it. I did one burn off and did clean it. I think after a few more sessions the taste will go away
This does not sound good to me.

The jury is still out, right here.

Anyway, who even wants to read this shit, right? Let's look at some more fuckin' pictures . . .

Why would you carry a vape in your back pocket ever, let alone driving?

I’ll keep you all updated on the taste. I’ve done two bowls and it’s been present. Hoping as I use it more it wears off. Other than that. I have no issues with the unit. Packs a nice punch in the lowest setting for sure.

So flower mate sent out vapes to who ever wanted one? And u all will send them back when the testing is done? Isn’t it hard to really test something unless you’ve paid for it? I mean if it’s free you don’t ask if it’s worth the money. Granted this is very affordable and everyone seems to be happy with it. Just seems like a new marketing tool to create buzz. I applaud the effort!

I don’t think Flowermate made any indication of taking them back nor gave us a length to test if I recall correctly. Any vape I’ve tested I had to sign a NDA and had a deadline to get my report back to the company.

Got to test the CAP out last night & was quite surprised at how well it worked. 1 burn off and some iso swabbing of all the parts with a q-tip. I packed it up pretty tight almost compressing my flower down into the oven like I do with other conduction Vapes I own . Placed a screen on top of the flower after I packed it . Started at the middle heat level , no problem getting visible clouds at all. Took about 8 hits before working my way up to the highest heat level to finish it off. I’d say I probably averaged about 15-20 solid hits before finishing . I may have been able to get more but the mouthpiece was getting a bit hot and I felt satisfied enough to stop and relax . Very enjoyable, love the size , price and ease of use . Taste was pretty good also for the 1st few hits . Only time will tell how she holds up but so far so good .

Not really, no.
What would make it more tricky is if we were affiliates standing to profit from sales.

Unless something else better (at the same price) comes along I'd buy another one to replace mine if I lost/broke it. I've never owned such a stealthy dry herb vape.

I have a blue one and love it. (CAP)
Color I like since bling is current in in my small collection are: PINK (color has no gender) WHITE and BLACK naturally because some companies produce one color for cost saving’s!
@chillersnov8p I read your post and let me respond?
For testing and expressing the user’s point of view is all we’re doing?

We did not sign paperwork or agree to anything except that we would provide feedback. They did not indicate they would be asking for them back. We could tear them apart and post photos on the forums. They wanted the feedback on the forums, and we emailed marketing our details. If the vape was bad, we would share negative feedback. And some people have shared negative feedback and suggestions for improvement. Our feedback and our information is the price we paid for the opportunity to provide feedback before the vape is released. I don't know if they will change anything about it before releasing it. It could be purely to hopefully drive up hype or interest in the device. One assumes they cannot and will not send out free devices forever. Eventually, they will sell them. And these reviews will be here.
And then if they want us to test another product, they send another out to us and we post more feedback on the forums. I believe it shows the influence these forums have, similar to contests on the forums. The low price is definitely a point of interest for many people. I chose to ignore cost and just think of it as a device. I do believe it is a good bargain and I can see myself buying these as a gift to new vaporists.
