A cooling stem that stays cool to the touch is kind of an oxymoron.
You want a cooling stem to absorb heat from the vapor. In doing this, the stem becomes warm, and the vapor cool. The more frequent the draws, and the higher the frequency of draws, the warmer the stem gets.

Erm, last year (or was it in 2017?) I bought a couple of the little Chinese Bubblers from DHgate I think, but it's not showing in my order history. Same story with the pseudo - dental SJK IH heater - I thought from Ali Express.... . Now I want to reorder but where??

I skimmed some messages and I'm not sure if I missed some humor here or am answering a stupid question, but earlier today I became aware that Cream City Vapes is still running their 420 sale, until tomorrow I assume. I ordered a 2019 M from them and they sent me an email saying they were waiting on new stock of them so just be aware for anyone ordering that there may be a few days delay if you order a 2019 M. I’m wondering if the delay was to get ones that had the grooves in the tip machined at the correct depth.

Yup, that’s why I don’t want an Omni. I like to control the air hole at will. I carb the first heat cycle a little but the second and third are always wide open rips with huge clouds for me! Sometimes I scrape out the top 1/4 bit of black abv and hit it a fourth time and might feather the air hole.

Update.
Poor M-18 is back soaking in the ISO jar again after another session ending in combustion.
Didn't even bother taking the O-rings or the cap off this time.
I noticed the cap "stuck" on if I pushed it on too tightly so just slipping it on and not forcing it at all hoping this might be my issue.
Torch 1 : Quiet or no click, got lucky, nice hit.
Torch 2 : Quiet then loud click, nice hit.
Emptied, a tad green but near perfect.
Reload
Torch 1 : Definitely quiet click, heated for another second or 2 waiting for the "big" click, never came, nice hit.
Torch 2 : Big loud click, nice hit.
Torch 3 : No click, combustion.
Emptied. Soaking in ISO.
Strangely I do get a nice really loud click every time I stand it on the magnet after each hit, louder than any heat up click I've heard.
Unsure If I should contact DV directly or Planet Vape where I purchased it. Actually I'm tempted to just buy another cap to compare, might be easier than the hassle of exchange.
I'd read about the double clicking caps but thought that they were just a rare anomaly. Are most of them REALLY 1 click up, 1 click down ?
Not dissing the VC. So many people love this device so much but maybe it's just not a good choice for me personally.........

Fucking Combustion (mostly) Since February 2017
Every cap I've ever had was 2-clicks up, 2-clicks down. Being confused about the two-clicks caused me to combust a number of times as a n00b. It is what it is.
Though, if you're new and don't want to risk combustion, you should mind the first click till you get you're own personal technique down. Then you can start skirting the higher temps, and even a second or two past the second click...but don't try going there too soon.
Also, the thing is that many of us have combusted many times when we were high enough to think we heard the cool-down click, when it didn't really happen. Many of us combusted in our younger Dynavap days for that very reason, so be aware of the possibility.

Verified each cool down click with a hit off the lotus between each torching to be sure.

I have a “M” needs a new cap but still function ‘s and great 4 micro dosing!
