Think I was a bit high last night....I was using various dynavaps and my Evo I even rolled a joint I was in a I really love skunk mood.

But I got in the bath this morning and my leg stung had a look and it was all manky and red but I didn't have a clue was it was. Went downstairs to have a little cap full picked up my novavong filled it etc.. but when I went to use it it started to heat the cap and it had all this like plastic type stuff melted into it...

I guess you can guess where I'm going with this but I couldn't work out what it was started cleaning it nothing would get it off...

Yeah it's got my skin and leg hair melted into it...

Currently in my ultrasonic but it doesn't seem to be coming off and yes I ended up leaving the o rings on.. any ideas of a solotisn to use its allready had an HR soak in ISO and two runs through the ultrasonic..

Cheers

My GF dropped a hot cap on a memory foam thing in our bathroom, and it was damn near coated in melted foam. I torched it red hot and scraped with a small screwdriver. The cap itself looks like it’s been through hell, but it works perfect still. It actually became my favorite cap after that. Don’t over heat a cap on the regular though, for fear of messing with the clicker.

The anodized layer is, it seems, a thin veneer which is easily scraped off; :orepeated
Action will eventually take that beautiful layer off, much to the chagrin of the horrified owner.:hmm:

On a positive note, looks like @KidFated. ‘s lathe is turning some stems, one which he posted
Looks like a real winner (he should post it here!). Yes?

In the DV Live episode where George introduces the green Omni he mentions that it will wear with use.

If that's the case, I certainly hope he's charging the same price for the green Omni that he is for the non-green, and that he's making the knowledge of eventual wear explicit on the DynaVap website, rather than in a one-off video.

@cybrguy, is your Grav j-hook in the pic 14 or 18mm?
Not sure what pic you are looking at, but my GL J-Hook is 14mm. I originally got it for my Lotus as a glass stem to help me learn the Lotus's secrets, but I quickly found many other uses for it. My favorite is probably as a mouthpiece for ash catchers...
Joni MITCHELL: BIG YELLOW TAXI explains where we R?
Every time you bring her up I have to tell Alexa to play her. The voice of my youth and the background of my live. Be well Joni, we still need you...

hi guys,

after 2 1/4 years my trusty Crafty died and while i am sorting things out with Storz and Bickel (will prolly get a discounted new Mighty), i am interested in the Dynavap a bit.
i got a few questions:

-how is vapor quality and quantity? thats actually super important to me when it comes to a Vaporizer and i only want a device that produces best quality (atm i use my old Flowermate....meh, i am used to top vapor from my Crafty and cannot enjoy that anymore)

-if you could compare the Dynavap, how hard does it hit compared to other portable Vaporizers?

-if i was about to order one, i understand the M is the entry level one.
i dont care too much about the looks, but would there be any important upgrades you would recommend? (read that the Ti tip would be useful)

-anyone knows how taxes/fees are when ordering directly from their website? i am from Germany and while i can order the M here, its not possible to get the Ti tip form the getgo: i would have to order it as an additional part, which costs almost as much as a new M

thanks guys

Hi Dynavappers... (is there a collective noun for people in this thread?)

So I've had a bit of a love hate relationship with my M. Basically it just leaves me with a metallic taste in my mouth after each use.

I clean it by long soaking in 99.9% ISO after every evening of use, then I Qtip it all out and then I run it in hot water and leave to dry on the radiator. When assembled again, I run through a heat cycle and blow through it to get rid of any left over water/ISO. Always a little puff of steam!

But I just can't seem to shake the taste of metal.

Does anyone else have this?

Is it the stainless? Does the ti do it too?

I really wanna love it, it's perfect for me... but that taste.

You must have excellent taste buds!

I haven’t had this issue, but here are my thoughts:
Since it’s almost perfect for you, it might be worth trying out a titanium tip. Right now the only steel in your vapor path is the tip itself (and the CCD/filter)—the condenser in the M is titanium. Any air contacting the steel body is coming through the airport, so is cool and shouldn’t be tastable. (If you can taste steel even when inhaling an empty, cool M, then you’d need a different stem, too. In that case the Nonavong with ti tip and no mouthpiece, $85 in the dynabuilder, is the least expensive way to test whether an all titanium vapor path with no steel anywhere would work for you.)

i would actually try cleaning it less and maybe with only some dishwashing stuff instead of ISO

or use a bit of peppermint/spearmint tea in it ...

TI has less metallic taste than SS to me

edit: AFAIK the M is all SS ... i would get a TI tip+condenser(+spinning MP) (the stem/body matters very little for taste) if you really like the M ... TI also has a different heating profile and more airflow

Thanks folks,

Just run a load thoruhg the M so sorry if my speeling is a bit wonky...

It seems to be more pronounced when I pull straight to lung with the hole uncovered.

The 1st few hits, are fine... it's the following hits and they leave an aftertaste of acrid with a metal tang to them. And just to add to that, if I put some already vaped bud out another vape in to finish it off, I don;t get the horrid taste.

I can taste the difference between a beer in a bottle and a beer in a can, so maybe that's my issue too... It's me who's not working properly! (and leaving a bad taste in people's mouths!)

Ah man, now I gotta sweet talk the wife and explain I need a ti vapcap.

Some people can taste Stainless Steel. I think it is a genetic thing. If you are one of those folk you may not be able to fix it. Get a Ti VC, with Ti condenser and tip. You won't taste anything from the SS cap and I don't think anyone can taste Ti...

It is a PITA to anodize, especially when you ramp up the spectrum to green. It is an LE
Version, so it justifies the extra cost?

Besides, DV sets the price, buyer not required to buy, the option is open.

But, yes, since I am myself a bargain hunter, I understand the rationale.

I use a @DDave kit.
The 1/2” tube + “M” tip + water pipe = 2-B CIVILIZED

Maybe it’s genetic?
Pausable ?
