I bought a used SOLO OG.
The bowl was very dirty.
I cleaned it with a piece of damp magic eraser.
Now I am worried some small pieces or dust from the magic eraser might have gotten in the oven holes.
I cleaned it with ISO and did some burn offs @ level7.
still worried.
another question:
how many 12min cycles should a 1-2 year SOLO deliver with a fully loaded battery on level 5-7 ?
and third question:
How do you center the additional red O-ring ?
I cant get it lined up properly.
even with the stem inserted.
I am a bit sad that this Solo needs the additional O-ring in the first place.
I guess the unit is pretty worn out.
should have checked all these issues before buying.....aaargh.

Magic Eraser.....Did you smell anything during the burn offs? After the burn offs did you try a couple mouth pumps at level 7 (pull air into mouth without inhaling) to see if there was a taste or smell? You could also use the glass stem as a vacuum by using/inserting a clean stem, with the Solo upside down and doing a couple mouth pumps. This may suck up any of the dust you're worried about into your mouth but you could just spit each time. You might also want to rinse the stem after the vacuum attempt. If you do all the above I think you'll be fine as long as there isn't a taste or smell issue.
I get 2 to 3 sessions at battery level 7 and around one session for the other levels.... so for a full battery I get 8 or 9 sessions. Of course the temp used can alter the results and I'd expect to get less sessions if everything were done at temp level 7.
Can't help with the O-ring. I prefer my stems wiggle a little to provide some airflow assistance. I like to wiggle the stem during a hit.

Any chance the seller used/vaped herbs other than cannabis? The Solo comes with a bag of herbs as well. I believe lavender came in all my Solos.

@Mr.Kite - Short of asking the seller what kind of funk they applied and hoping it was a safe herb of some sort there doesn't sound like much you can do unless your willing to open her up. If it was sold to you by mail the seller may have tried to mask the smell of herb use. You could try masking the smell yourself by filling with ABV a few times, mouth pumping at temp 7 a bunch and hoping it gets to being nose-blind. I hope the seller didn't use some kind of essential oil that got into the internals.

Answer was "no".
I opened the solo to check the battery for leaking.
Looks okay to me.
I cant make up my mind where this horrid smell is coming from.
I sit next to it right now because the SOLO is charging.

Just had a SOLO straight stem filled with AFAGANI CHEESE on 3 = love it.
Be-4 I changed da battery pack last time it was 4 dry now 3

Sorry you're concerned, but the right time for that was before? ISO and burn offs won't effect it now. Best advice I can offer is to remove the cap and blow down each of the four vents. Compressed or 'canned' air is best, but even a tube or straw and your blowing is better than nothing at this point. Blow out the unit before putting the cap back.
You should get 'a session per LED' give or take. The first step is twice as big, so two there. 8 total? Depending on battery condition, cure, temperature and number and intensity of hits. And how cold it is outside.......
It does not need an extra o-ring, never did. Tight stems is not a feature, they won't replace under warranty. To the contrary, a single, fairly loose ring is a feature. It allows you to tip the stem to control airflow (for sippers). You have to fit the rings if you want to use them, there are at least two thicknesses of caps, calling for different thicknesses of rings. Making it too tight will break the tabs on the bottom, don't just bung any old ring in if you don't understand. You can mess things up, 'I read it on the web' isn't enough. Remember, the o-ring addition was never intended to make the stem really tight, only to keep the bent one from rotating under gravity. Here's a link to a photo of the two caps I know of:

In the puffituo reviews of the SOLO OG I read that there is a Solo OG version out there in the wild with cutouts around the heater-holes in the chamber.
You know? the 4 holes in the heater are surrounded by flat cutouts to improve airflow...
is this comparable to the soloII heater feel ?
anyone has this unit and can comment ?

I have an older OG Solo and a newer OG Solo. The cutouts are different. The airflow is the same for me.......
The above is why I've never used the O-ring - I prefer to have that slight wiggle room with the stem to enhance air-flow.

Your welcome @Mr.Kite .... please don't misunderstand though.....the OG Solo in both forms are great vapes and the draw resistance isn't a problem for me. I don't moderate my draw speed. I just do the stem wiggle.
I've seen others complain about the draw restriction so to each their own.....
One thing I really appreciate about the OG Solo....once she's settled in at temp it's pretty hard to over-run the oven.
