If the form of the product is distinct enough you shouldn't need to brand it.. I remember the shape of a coke bottle more than the logo, for example.. Unless its a cool logo I guess..

@Padriano Absolutly stunning!!!

Can you tell us about the stem and IH?
Its a desktop IH by @phattpiggie . He stripped down my skelly and fitted a dc connection. It's reclaimed mahogany and blackwood on the base with crab apple (from a tree in his garden) on top.

The stem is redcurrant burl.. There doesnt seem to be much info online about it at all.. Oh, and a gold ti tip for good measure..

It was the last order for my place on the list. My @phattpiggie collection is complete.. (On an @Aezhenn stand)

He's refusing to support my addiction and won't sell me any more :(. So I guess I'll just head on back to the Tubo stuff. Dont tell @funkyjunky I was here! :ninja:

Funny. On my Apple iPad the pictures always show right. On the one occasion when I looked up FC ( in a library) the right side up picture was right side down.

So I sidled outer there. :hmm: Tiny pic 4U!

If I remember correctly, iPhones and iPads record the orientation of the device when a picture is taken and encode that in the image.

That means if you have your phone/tablet “upside down” when you take a picture the actual image will still be upside down, but anything that reads the orientation can display it right side up. Mac/iOS devices will show them oriented correctly, others may or may not.

You have a fantastic collection! @Phattpiggies creations are stunning. What species of wood is your lidded stem made from?
It doesnt compare to some of you peeps' collections.. In fact, haven't you got a buffalo horn lidded stem? That's a serious piece

My lidded one is Flame box elder.. Apparently the red streak is a natural defence it releases to fight fungus when its damaged (if my memory of googling it is correct) .. I'm actually sending it back in for a tweak and an addition, so @phattpiggie hasn't quite seen the back of me yet ;)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Diary,

do you remember? Many weeks ago, I ordered a blue Titanium Omnivap XL from the limited offer and a Cocobolo Omnivap XL directly at Dynavap. It took ages before it arrived here. Just days from the USA to my country, but weeks at Customs because of a missing invoice on the parcel.

Then, finally, it arrived. I was so full of anticipation when I opened the parcel and was heavily disappointed seconds later. The blue Omnivap wasn't very blue. The tip was, but the rest was more grey/light blue and it looked, frankly spoken, a bit shitty. Not the sensation that I expected. The Cocobolo Omnivap XL wasn't Cocobolo. It was Dark Wood. A very nice one, admittedly, but not what I have ordered. Not the kind of experience you dream of after finally holding the delivery in your hands.

So I contacted their support and told them about my disappointment. Shit happens. Every day. I run a business myself and know that too well. The question is: How does a company handle it? And this is where Dynavap shined (again). Christina went above and beyond. She took several pictures of the remaining blue stems that they had (not many) and none of them was close to perfect. So I surrendered and told her that we better just leave things as they are. Only one of many purchases gone wrong. Singular occurrence. Bad luck. Let's move on.

The story could end here, but Christina made it happen that a complete new blue Titanium Omnivap XL was made, just for me and sent it together with the most beautiful Cocobolo XL stem that I have ever seen. Both arrived today and both are absolutely stunning. I don't know whether they will invoice me for keeping the Dark Wood and the Cocobolo stem, but even if they do, then the overall experience is stellar. I could not be happier.
Dynavap customer service rocks!

Goodnight my beloved diary,
Dynavaper

@stark1 I've looked at many different pen kits and so far the ID of the lids is too small to take the cap.
The lidded stems I've done are made using parts from toothpick cases.
When I get time I'll be sitting down with pen and paper and designing a number of different parts to be CNC'd.
Couplings for lidded stems is amongst them.

My experience with Dynavap's CS and Christina in particular, has been outstanding... In fact, they put S&B's CS to shame (it's the only one I can compare to, as Vaposhop is also so-so). My case didn't involve "ugly" pieces, just some faulty materials, and it was dealt with in a jiffy. Thank you Christina!
