I guess you weren't using the capsules?
I am 20 capsules i.e. bowls in and seems very far from needing a clean
How's THC lost passing through the cooling unit?
If I were to keep the Mighty plugged I while I use it, would it increase the lifespan of my battery?
Can't seem to find a consensus on whether it will have detrimental effects on account of overcharging, or if the pass through works.
I'm having such a hard time deciding between the Mighty and the Solo 2 - but I need to decide because the Mighty is $150 off until the end of the day Monday.
You can use it while plugged, I searched this and found someone got confirmation for S&B, although they dont recommend it, cuz it creates more heat this way. I do it during light use. I notice when plugged in the lcd shows its charging, and when I turn it on while plugged in, that indicator changes to show its not charging.
Where did you read that they don't recommend it?
They advertise the pass through capability, so them not recommending it is a bit of a bummer.
Anyone here use it plugged in regularly?

I imagine it happens due to friction, as shown in this illustration by Storz n Bickel. Also the material of the cu being plastic might be worse than glass in terms of leeching vapor.
I also noticed if you use a finer screen for the top screen, it affects the vapor path, and causes the cu to get sticky everywhere, instead of clumps in one spot. It looks like the finer screen makes the vapor more dispersed and spread out as it moves through the cu.

Used to love the Solo. Between the first FF and the Mighty, the Solo fell completely out of use. I literally haven’t touched it since fall 2014.I have never used a Solo and indeed it has many admirers over the years, but the Mighty is MIGHTY. The one thing that put me off on the Solo a bit was draw resistance and one of the things I like about the Mighty is the draw is wide open...very easy and the vape takes absolutely no technique to make it work well.
I feel certain that if you buy a Mighty you will be extremely happy with it, but I must leave it to others to comment on the Solo as I just don't have that experience.
Cheers

Solo vs Mighty? No comparison, IME.
You won't regret it , one of the most reliable vapes out there.Used mine tonight for the 1st time in a while , forgot how hard this thing hits I am high AF.......Just got my mighty, wont get to try it until tomorrow at the earliest. cant decide to load up a capsule first or just throw it in with a pad on top.
for a micro hit I use the capsule with a concentrate pad... take the pad out, add the gear then replace the pad.
I used a capsule yesterday - kept the bottom clean, but little bits ended up in the screen on top.
Also, there are multiple screens that came with it, are they for the unit itself or the CU? And are they meant as replacements or as options? They seem to be different.
Also, does the standard position of the clip result in increased or decreased draw?
I also feel like the high is a bit of a creeper - you think you're good and then it punches you in the face. Not a bad thing, but takes some getting used to.
@hassan there are two types of capsules. A straight up one and one that comes with a smaller version of the concentrate pad. The ones in the capsules are smaller and can be bought as part of a set i.e. the capsule and pad or separately i.e. just the pad.
To use the concentrate pad and the capsule for a micro hit I simply remove the concentrate pad from the capsule, add a small amount of herb and then replace the pad. Its up to you if you put the capsule lid back on or not. The same result can be achieved by just adding a little herb to the bowl and then use the bigger concentrate pad to hold it in place... your ready to vape away with your nice micro dose
Yes a very small amount can escape the capsule lid. I found the best way to avoid this is simple use a slightly courser grind, solved the problem for me
The finer screen is for the bowl (at the bottom) and the courser screen is for the CU. I have read of people using the finer screen for the CU but apparently it can cause more THC to condensate in the CU due to the airflow changing thus meaning you don't get it. I don't know how much THC is lost but its your call, its your vape and your experience... just rock it how you want to
Not really sure what you mean by this? Do you mean the mouth piece attaching to the CU? If you do I haven't noticed any difference but I've only had mine for about 3 weeks and still learning. If you want to increase resistance both the conc' pad or the capsule will do this slightly but I just think low resistance is the nature of the beast.
Ha ha yes it can be a creeper. I've found the variety of herb and the temperature you use greatly affects this. You want a hit rather than taste (although there's always some taste) just use a higher temp
Hope that helps, but please bear in mind that I am no expert and new to the mighty as well
