I realize this may be a long shot since both vapes are pretty new, but...

Can anyone compare the HR Fury 2 with the x-max fog?

Too soon, but Fog bowl is larger if that helps, no glass, more complicated airpath... Fury is smaller, less battery life, full temp control with more info on screen in general. Both have 4min timers. Performance I can't say yet, only used Fog once so far. Probably better to start a dedicated comparison thread though anyway.

Which still feel like the Fury is top dog for this type of portable, why go with one the many session conduction options when you can get session convection like this? In little ways it can be improved but overall out of the box this is a pretty wonderful little product

I can.
Although I've put about an ounce through the Fury 2 and only 1/4 through the Fog...

The Fury is more into the hybrid zone, the conduction heats up pretty quickly and vaporization is pretty much immediate and consistent. You can slow draw a bit to get a little more convection ramp up, but for the most part the Fury 2 is going to put out consistent vapor.

The Fog starts out more convection and behaves slightly moreso. Rapid hitting may overpower the heater, packing too tight or too loose will affect performance. The first hit is softer, but the bowl does heat up and vapor is easy to get. I like the vapor from the Fog better now - although at first I felt the opposite.

I get more terpene taste from the first half of the session with the fog. The only thing I don't like about the Fog is the magnetic top-cap hinge. It just doesn't snap closed as perfectly as I'd prefer (but for the price it's tough to complain about it)

If I were carrying it outside, I'd choose the Fog.
For using here at my desk, I'd reach for the Fury 2 (and wpa)

thanks for that super informative and always entertaining review, just saw it again yesterday:D. Been debating about it since I already have the IQ as my portable but I can't help feeling intrigued with how small and easy it looks to use. Does it taste much better than the IQ since it's hybrid?

Still early for me, but this does seem to be about right... Also forgot to mention both have imperfect mouthpieces for sure, but they're perfectly serviceable. Fury2 does have the wpa as an option, though it is of course a 2, so leg up there and different in so many other ways. I could see ways they overlap and ways they compliment each other @sickmanfraud

Here's a couple photos from the Fog thread:

@HealthyRips.com Since the SS bowl needs to be heated to expand before the WPA can be inserted, what happens if the bowl cools down completely with the WPA still attached? I assume that the bowl would have to be reheated to release the WPA, but is there any possibility that the WPA could crack from the pressure of a cold bowl?

Hi @marduk, You can leave the WPA in the FURY/FURY 2 as it cools - it will not crack. You will just need to heat it up again to remove the WPA.

This was addressed earlier, yes simply reheat and it will release again. Shouldn't be any danger of the glass cracking as I think it is actually the silicone seal at the top of the chamber that is contracting/expanding (like Air/Solo) and not the steel bowl so all good there

After 2 initial burn-offs at 430 and chamber iso swabs, i'm still smelling what I would describe as "slight tire fire" coming from the bowl as I start a third burn-off. @HealthyRips.com Is this normal?

Hi @sk8man121, Thank you for your question. All materials that get hot for the first few times will need to be 'seasoned' - like a toaster or an oven that you use for the first few times. All the materials in our vaporizers are high-temp food-grade - so no worries - there isn't anything that will compromise your health. This has been discussed numerous times in this thread by @Vape Dr. and others....maybe they can weigh in.

Hi @The Beagle, We will have the option to purchase the FURY 2 without the WPA during Black Friday - Cyber Monday. This will save you $30 total. If you would like to buy the FURY 2 without the WPA now at a $30 total discount - let us know and we will create a coupon code for that purpose.

All the Best!

Forgive me if this has been spoken to before but what is the difference between the Fury and Fury 2 outside of the WPA?

Hi @HengefulOne, Here are the updates and features that the FURY 2 has vs the original FURY:
  • FURY 2: 3 clicks to power on/off vs 5 clicks with the FURY.
  • Stealth Mode has been added to the FURY 2 - hold the power button down for 3 seconds to turn on/off the indicator light.
  • Both the FURY and FURY 2 have food-grade high-temp silicone - but we tested and resourced silicone that has zero taste/smell for the FURY 2 - and we had our supplier cure the silicone longer to make sure that it satisfied the most discernable user.
  • Glass WPA was added - which is also now included free with both the FURY and FURY 2.
  • Protective Cover was added - which is also now included free with both the FURY and FURY 2.
  • A Wall Charger is now included free along with the USB cord for the FURY and the FURY 2.
Hope this helps :)

So i got my fury a couple of weeks ago and it has been pretttttty fucking great honestly. Took me a while to figure out the best way to pack a bowl for best cloud production but now its a fog machine for me. The heat up is so fast and you don't need to put in a lot to get great production at all. I have stopped using my air completely and haven't really been using the vapcap either. (It is still honeymoon phase tho.) So great heat up time great production. Great efficiency.

I think its kind of loud but i mean it has basically no draw resistance which is a good thing. By loud i mean when i am ripping on it not internal sounds or anything like that. It seems like cleaning is going to be a real pain in the ass. Then again I'm spoiled with ariser products and the vapcap which i still have cleaned since I've received it and it produces so damn good. This might be even better though in terms of cloud production and ease of use because there is def a bigger learning curve with the vapcap. ThIS took me only like a day to figure out how to get the best of it for my needs. I think the auto shutoff is a bit too quick but thats just my opinion its not a big deal to just turn it back on. Biggest gripe is the mouthpiece structure/bowl structure. The mouthpiece seems like it should come off by pulling up on it but instead you have to push out to pop it out. It seems like it might damage the vapes shell after years of use. Also packing it and unpacking it can be a pain in the ass if your doing multiple sessions back to back when on the go.

This vape is a beast. It is tiny as hell and the battery life is great. Its insanely easy to use. Cant beat the price. Seems like a legit company. Comes with a nice kit. Micro usb is HUGE, just wish i could charge and use. Overall great bang for my buck so far.

If you care about proper english don't even read that lol I'm just spitballing.

Nice review @SiDankies !
I agree with most of what you said. Especially about the noise. The air holes do make for a loud pull. So if you are in a really quiet place trying to be discreet from nearby ears (same room ears) you will be found out. Otherwise, it is very discreet.
And while pretty much no vape is as easy to keep clean as the Arizers, the Fury2 really takes minimal effort to keep clean, in my opinion.
