Discontinued Ghost MV1

I love iso so much I destroyed the top silicone ?black gasket. It shrunk and then did not stay in place. Now I am wondering about the ceramic pieces. The crucible seems to have a polished surface (maybe glazed) which should make iso immersion safe. I am not so sure about the ceramic mouthpiece tube. Anybody got an opinion on these two pieces and their isoability.
Silicone and iso dont go together

Just posted by Patrick, "We started setting up yesterday and notifications will be going out over the course of this weekend. We will commence testing on Android either Monday or Tuesday."

I've been trying really hard to get on the beta testing for android but keep failing!

is this thing on?
I've been waiting on the sidelines, watching from the first announcements, and can't believe this app thing is not out and available to all yet.
Yes me too. From the sidelines the situation looks maybe not fubar but marketing wise the realease was not the best stunt ever. Anyone knows how big a company Ghost is? I have no idea what pressure made them choose way they went, but it seems like they have their hands full right now. Hopefully they can go the extra miles to smooth everything out. Carefully typing this. Peace, everyone.

It's a bit nebulous at best. It seems organized off-shore (Of the U.S.) and it is not easy to find a physical address. They have a clear liability-limiting structure (At least at what can be found in public records.) and, while there may be a larger, underlying, entity that owns and finances the smaller entity(s), the whole structure is to have as little assets in the working corporation/llc as possible.

In other words, the size of the company is small. (Whatever that means. Size is usually relative.) However, that does not mean there isn't big money or expertise behind it.

Out of curiosity i also took my first look at the Vapelife forum for more info about it cause this thread seemed a bit slow going, but there wasn't much more to be learned . At least i finally realized where this talk about this vaporizer being a totally different category comes from... ,may be cause of the language barrier i didnt get that it was meant literally ..

This was because there were so many new MV-1 threads being created at rather breakneck speeds that Bud thought to create a filter category for MV-1 related threads only.

I believe that some/all MV-1 threads also show up under the portables category.

Android testing is slated to begin shortly. I'm assuming this week.

This is today's post by @SirCrackKillaH on VLF about the iOS firmware update:

"Temperature fixes, battery life improvement, app access. I'll be honest with ya bro, I've been playing with this now since launch, this thing rocks. The update refined it and I believe they are further tweaking it before it's turned loose on the world. I've been able to rip this thing man. Back to back type hits on hand ripped bud on the upper temps and it's going... it's f'in going! No overheat. Without the update, sometimes you get those temp spikes on level 4 and 5.. sometimes even on 3. The update corrects it but it takes a little getting used to. You become accustomed to how one of these personal devices operates over time and any changes, you notice.

The vape isn't that finnicky with bud grind either. I hand tore last night and was getting good draws early on.. ratcheted that mother up to 4 and 5 and it was RIPS!!! I got put on my ass! You can do it without the update but it's more prone to overheat if your doing some back to back nonsense, this though... YEAHHHH BABY!
You can slow your draw a bit to build temp. It acts kinda like a firefly in that respect vs a mighty or Crafty. It's an immediate noticeable difference depending on your draw and how you build on each pull. The more I use the MV1, the happier I am with it. Battery life is improved too. After playing with it a bit on full charges to depletion, there is consistency with the pulls up to the very end vs. at the two led battery mark. Cool stuff bro."

(zombie) Woof.
Figured it was appropriate to check in with the Ghosters on Halloween; looks like everyone is still waiting. Vape on......
Was nice having this push button portable on hand as I stayed home per usual to hand out candy while mom and kids went out and about... Couple of loaded crucibles and a quick pop out back to the deck between doorbell rings... Easy peasy and no smell...

I am curious the dimensions of the 4x1 sleeve.
If it is able to slide into a Jyarz Classic, it would be a helluva travel combo.

Looks like it would fit. I think a green pill vial will work perfect too. Any crucible holder should be air tight as well...I would like one that each crucible is held in its own airtight section so various strains and even used loads can be held in there as well without mixing smells and airing out fresh loads in the crucibles.

Meanwhile in other news........ Monday and Tuesday have passed......

@FlyingLow, why don't you just contact delta & ask the measurements? And, of course, let us know.

Greetings! Damn ya'll faster than me hahaha. Yes it's true I have published a flexible sleeve to hold crucibles with the top cover installed (the oval shape of the crucibles seems to make them easier to install/remove from the sleeve as opposed to the S&B Dosing Capsule sleeve which I also sell) . The 4x1 sleeve dimensions are approximately 52x23mm by 10mm tall (2.05 inches long)

Although I can always tweak the sleeve configuration to fit any size container - including multiple rows/columns if desired - feel free to PM me what size container you have and I'll calculate how many capsules I can fit into a sleeve.

OK, I do have a complaint. My MV1 seems to be growing increasingly unresponsive to the 3 pushes after the initial power on. It takes 30-40 attempts for it to react to the three pushes, rather than just powering off. I am making sure that my finger is centered on the button and that I complete the path of the button. Helps only eventually.

After changing the battery you have to hold the button down initially till it wakes up. Then release and after those light go off hit it three times to turn on. This help?

I'm assuming you know to take it out of shipping mode when putting the battery on and are really having issues getting it to transition to vape mode. If so, have you filed for an RMA with Ghost because to me this sounds like a broken unit, maybe?

Correct. I haven’t pursued an RMA yet because it has just begun to get on my nerves (and my two GH’s are recently back from their trip to CO). Just wondered if anyone had experienced this. I will follow up with Ghost.

The free charger was limited to those who are currently members of VapeLife Forums who pre-registered prior to shipping. I highly doubt it's still in effect, but you could post over there & ask, can't hurt.

I just caught that Delta thingamajig too. Pretty cool man. If it came with crucibles it'd be even cooler :D that crucible carry case I think will be worth the hold out though. The included crucibles make it worth it.

More I play with this thing the more I like it man. The device is saving me some good money right now. I think devices and accessories are set to be released very soon bro. I'm curious to see the growth. Ghost has something good going on right now with this tech and as the next weeks and month come, watching the overall reaction as a whole.. it's going to be incredible. NJ over here just got that Murphy dude in. He's gearing us up to be the next Colorado. The industry is going to accelerate tremendously over the next year. This is exciting. If Ghost positions themselves correctly, they could really make a killing. Same would hold true for all marijuana related companies.. this metro area man.. population concentration over here with people with disposable money is sick man.
