Discontinued The Grasshopper

How is your buddies (that I sold) holding up? Still haven't been requested for the warranty transfer so must be good to go. What's his usage pattern like?
Runs great. Hits like a tank. Better than mine. He has an lsv, enano, and dabs .. so it's not his primary vape. It's gone long times without use and then has been used nonstop for periods. Just depends. She's great tho <3
He treats his like i do mine, and takes the same precautions as me.

My Hopper's charger has now seemingly bit the dust. I brought the Hopper for enjoyment during Thanksgiving, but left my 4-slot charger home. Now it is failing to connect at all on two different USB ports after working yesterday. Thankfully, I should be able to pick up a way too expensive charger to keep in my backpack from a small town electronics store in time for Thanksgiving dinner.

Get a Nitecore battery charger from online or maybe they sell them at the stores I've never looked.
If they do sell them here, they're more expensive than other options. I have an Xtar at home that's done very well. Just a little big with the huge status area. If all else fails, I know there are single cell versions out there.

I bought both my Nitecore chargers off of Amazon. They come with a car charger attachment with ability to charge as well, I've never used them. It only cost like $14.

Edit
This one is a little over $15, it charges 2 batteries at one time.

Hold up hold up. Thanksgiving? I'm looking forward to that since I get a vacation, but it's October. Am I missing something?

Does this mean someone with one divorced parent from USA and the other from Canada has to do TWO MAJOR FAMILY REUNION!?!?

What about Christmas Canada? Is that in start of November?

Just a very bitter child of divorced parents here :D

Gulg damn I used to hate Xmas until I meet my wife and her awesome family and their traditions

I didn't say I was high when I did that!

But I probably was
Lol, I've done it a couple of times.

When I was waiting to get my PFE I was thinking you could fill the otherside with herb like the flavour chamber in the IQ.

Haven't actually tried it, but accidentally came close a couple of times haha

I've said it for years, but the Xtar MC2 has better specs and is cheaper and more compact

I got the Xtar Vc2 and the ant, think they work fantastic, got a multimeter and the Xtar displays very accurate numbers

Best part is the Xtar mc1 ant takes up so little space its comparable to the original charger

Of course single USB cable with magnetic connector is smaller but this allows me to rotate dead cell for a fresh one

Only thing I am missing now is an Anker Powerbank 10,000 mah older version with the lower charge rate but good amount of capacity for size

Then I got a true "weekend warrior" kit

Here is a picture that gives idea of true size

I've been happy enough with Nitecore D2 (two slots), also <$15 and free ship with A-Prime.
It offers two charge rates, and I happen to like that it's A/C powered, no usb and no wall warts. Mine came with a car adapter that doubles as a car charger/12V power source for a Mighty.

Xtar is well renowned as a very high quality option for charging. I discovered them researching chargers for the hopper, the MC2 matches the specs of the external charger recommended by HL whilst being usable for international users or just portably and also gets raving reviews from flashlight forums and technical reviewers.

I've been rocking this set up for well over a year:
17881373_1432511666823360_8166040415309398016_n.jpg

The Jar needs to be refilled on occasion.
The batteries get replaced when needed, those ones I've given to a friend, I like to keep only fresh cells. So far I've bought 14 with 7 currently in use by me and 5 totally dead. I've had a GH since Feb last year.
The Hoppers get serviced on occasion, 4 times each so far.
The Rapoo P500 battery pack, seed of life glass, SLX grinder and Xtar MC2 have been outstanding.

I use them all pretty much daily and I have had no issues and haven't had to do any maintenance beyond cleaning the bong.

The issues I have with the weed, batteries and services are far from a problem for me.
Given the chance I'd take a bottomless jar before a flawless vaporiser.

I was just looking at my sub last night, if I could spend less than 20 bucks to get it completely refurbished - I'd do it in a heart beat.
As it is my Sublimator is dirty and stuck together, the power controller is clamped on with a clothes peg !
I'm going to have to build an enclosure and solder it back together, which is fun and worthwhile, but a bit of ridiculous work to have to do.

Lifetime warranty and an actually portable, properly powerful, no stirring required, convection vaporizer is something I'm very glad to have enjoyed and continue to enjoy.

We're about to have Halloween out here in Los Angeles lol

Same in Canada! But we wait until Oct. 31st :brow:

Now you're just being silly! ;) I personally only celebrate Festivus!

Haha, I used to LOVE Xmas until I met my wife and her interesting family and their lack of traditions!

Oh just stop already! But after having tried the glass symphony and flowerpot, I do now realize there is a massive difference in the term convection. The GH chamber walls make a massive difference vs just hot air moving over the material and a screen.

I won't stop until I can actually upgrade and get a better utensil.

The reason the chamber is so effective in the hopper is the R-value of the insulation (which is mostly just lacking on other models, in turn becoming a bad material design choice)

I didn't noticed any difference with my ghb1, for me the GH battery are like the lottery, some are good, and some are shit  ...
Pretty much.
The GHB2 has a higher recharge rating, but there's no real noticeable difference.

That said though, if you still have GHB1s I have little apprehension saying you would notice a big difference getting new batteries.

GHB1s, unless surpless stock from a retailer, haven't been available for quite some time

This is what I was going to add. It's not that they're that much better, but they probably will be over what you're using now!

I've got 5 new ones I'm about to rotate in for my 5 oldest, or maybe all 8. We'll do some testing and see....

I ordered 4 with my returning hopper
think I have only one bad of the four I got originally last year
I think I save them for next year
Bought 4x new one now with my PFE

After I pick a new "best battery" ;)

Crazy you gone through so many @MoltenTiger, maybe my standard are really low for battery :D

Think most of mine last 2 bowls? Think I have one that lasts 3 and another that lasts 1,5

Yeah, well my first 5 GHB1s I was charging at 1A on some generic charger, which also stopped working :p

Then I got 5 new GHB2s (traded my SS case funds) and all was good for a little while, I think I had my Xtar by then.
After 8 months I found they had depreciated in quality, so I got 4 new ones during RMA.
I still have some lighter-blue OG GHB2s in the mix, and I left a couple with my mate who only had GHB1s still, but always charged with the OG HL charger. He has a single Xtar MC1 now though I think he mainly uses the OEM charger.

anyways, I'll select out a dark blue new GHB2, I have two of newest marked.
But if I'm sessioning, I'll just randomly select a battery from the bag and charge straight from the hopper and replace into the bag.
Though I've noticed that fresh cells from the charger are the best.

The best I ever got with my OG hopper and a GHB1 was 6 bowls. 0.8g back to back, the last couple of chambers were totally unneeded.
I would normally get 2-4 bowls from a battery now, but I'm finding since getting my hoppers back most recently, I'm getting more hits per chamber.
I prefer less, so I'm kind of tempted to send them back and will do eventually. My silver one is still working well enough, so I'll wait it out.
