Hi @biohacker, yes exactly, extortionate import duty & taxes and and "handling" fees :(
It's happened to me on a number of different occasions and I swore I wouldn't do it again after being hit with fees for a warranty replacement GR8TR (because Kannastor failed to mark it correctly).
But with the lack of info regarding UK stock, and all the pics and vids you guys are putting up I'm starting to feel a little tempted to order the flowerpot, showerhead, showercap, handle, bowl etc. from the US. and the 220v controller from DHGate
I kinda hoped Vapefiend would get them quickly so I could order everything together along with a bubbler (this one maybe? https://vapefiend.co.uk/tower-watertool) from them, all at the same time.

For anyone ordering from NL I paid 21% Tax (BTW), 2.7% import duties and a fixed cost of Euro 13 for dealing with customs. Actually not too bad if you have a reasonably sized order. I would be surprised if a EU company would be able to beat these prices. I went for the expensive shipping option of $42 because the other option just seemed like a lottery (no tracking and no insurance!). I figured it was worth using the 10% discount on the better shipping option. It all arrived in NL in 4 days and then the NL post took over and it took them more than a week to clear it and send it to me.

As I plan my move to Cali, I dream of a FlowerPot. That's years away though, so I hope they continue to do well. They just keep on improving. I saw some nice new package deals on the website to simplify things for us newcomers. Love it.

Matter in what way exactly? If say yes on many levels actually. Take for instance this, I've compared while using the same flower set at the same temp. that the finer grind gave me a more flavorful hit over the course grind.

I also notice that overall extraction is far far more complete and uniform.

I've also found it has allowed me to push temperature ranges a bit further and that it starts milking faster too.

My man. I definitely prefer a finer grind for this puppy. The ABV is uniform in ways I'd only dream about in other vaporizers!

Is this due to import taxes and fees? My shipping to Canada was only $10.25! Most reasonable shipping fees ever. Sure it would be nice if say PlanetVape or Puffitup stocked NV products, but my customer service experience has been pretty top notch so far.

@biohacker your shipping was actually $37.43 because of the stand upgrade.

@ichibaneye So nice to have you here dude! I'm now playing the waiting game...it's still early, but come next week i'll be refreshing my tracking info constantly! Fortunately I have some amazing meds that have just landed to feed the showerhead!

So stoked to join the cult of newvape!
Hah that's most excellent. Congratulations and thanks.

Ahh yes the joy of the waiting game. I remember it like it was yesterday. The funny thing is I still check the NV site almost daily to see if anything new has dropped and to look at the other items I'm still going to purchase.

Once bitten by the NV bug you're changed forever. As in forever in love.

I promise to cherish, to care for and stand by you FP in the good times and in bad times.

Do you Ichibaneye take the NV FP to be your happily wedded vaporizer? I DO! :whip::brow:

So awesome to hear! I remember this feeling with my supreme v3.... it's like using a Solo, Pax, Mighty, etc. is a toy and waste of time in comparison!

When you hear people saying that this vape feels like a dab of flower....that means something!!

I wish NV wouldn't avoid SH insert questions/inquires :tup::rofl:

what "dab of flower" means to me is leave it the fuck alone.

Shower Head Insert Status. Currently i'm not sure how to implement anything other than a drop in washer style insert without reducing the number of coveted holes. I was hoping the sic, sapphire, and quartz could simply be waterjeted from flat stock. I've found this is not the case. Each one has it's own manufacturing process. The sapphire washer will need to be cut down from a 1.5" round sapphire jewel and it's cost was going to be around $200 retail. The showerhead dish would need to have a thru hole to allow the washer to be ejected. I personally feel that what i've learned about q-tipping after each dab really helps maintain the SEASONED titanium for flavor. I feel that our current flowerpot wraparound head with interchangeable sic, quartz, ti, halo dishes fill the needs of many. Drop in washer inserts will also spin when cleaning with a q-tip which I hate. I'm open to suggestions. For now I can only suggest purchasing the wraparound head.

With that all being said. It would no longer be the perfectly functioning showerhead. A stand out and stand alone in its own right.

I would highly suggest to not change it unless you're going to produce something totally separate from the showerhead.

But having said that and like you've already deduced, the wrap around already pulls this duty and it does it very well at that.

Getting some killer flower performance out of the Showerhead uncapped @ 655F.

Been all over the range 630 to 680, but 654 is my fave temp for the ShowerHead with flowers only. The ShowerHead rig spends 90% or more of its time at 654. Sometimes I carb cap, sometimes not so much. :)

This is for those of you that I know have been wondering about how well the Errlectric double mesh screens function

They are damn impressive I'll say that. I've yet to have one pop out of the original gangster male 14mm bowl. More to come on this later.

I fine grind my flowers and if you'll notice not one bit of flower or ABV lurks in the water of my heavily used glass. Foxtrot Alpha!

Finally another quick point. Notice the reclaim to be had. The FP is such a beast and so efficient that on my first hit with flower only that reclaim is immediately noticeable in my clean glass.

I'm not talking about noticeable in the neck of the joint on the glass. I'm saying it's already goopin up in the water chamber. :o

That reclaim is most likely very tasty , unfortunately i am to anal to let me glass get that dirty and it only takes a few sessions for that to happen so i clean once a week. Literally one big rip and i can see those nice golden globs forming above my water. Ocd is a bitch i guess. I use iso for cleanings , warm water and my favorite is warm water and small scoop of pbw ( powdered brewery wash ) and my glass is spotless in no time. Just ordered myself my 1st ultra sonic cleaner to try out.
