one hole or two?

In the past one hole has been best for building the right pressure with the centerpost nails.

I imagine this topic will be discussed for a while. Ultimately deciding on one or the other.

Here's an offer to consider while the correct number of holes are decided by this forum. I can offer for the early adapters who purchase the showercap prior to 9-30-17.

Purchase the showercap with one hole and if you're not satisfied CLEAN and return the carb cap for the additional hole located 180 deg to be added at no cost.

Should the second hole have the reverse angle?

I realize this offer doesn't make sense for international customers.

Shipping is not included.
The minute you begin adding multiples of holes is the minute the idea of easily controlling a carb cap hole with a finger tip goes out the window imo. One of the things I like most about the carb cap is I the ability to feather the draw with a finger tip.

thank you for this tip.

I vote for one hole. It makes it easier to cover with a finger.

wait... the cap that costs as much as the sic halo currently...?

i'm sorry if that is rude to anyone who just purchased a dnail for their flowerpot but man, what a joke.

I'm quite glad I held off to see how the FP performed before purchasing the dnail as I think the showerhead will be significantly more satisfying. I continue to be impressed with this things flower vaping capabilities every time I use it. Very glad I set my expectations low because I'm getting blown away. The flavor is significantly better than I expected and the hits are hands down the biggest I've gotten from any vaporizer I've tried.

I've had a face-melting session every night since I got this thing, and amazing sleep. :haw:
I could never bring myself to buy the d-nail one, for that price I'd rather do some custom glass or something. The $20 one I got from tag has angled air holes and ledges to fit different sizes which I love. Also it's a minor thing, but I like that it's flat on both sides.

Are you really able to do this with the lollicap @steama ? Even the top of mine gets hot. Sometimes I leave it on while taking a long hit and need to exhale before I'm fully "done" and the top of the cap definitely gets hot if it's a large dab I'm trying to clear or something.

Also, @NewVape710 - Does this offer have an end date, if at all? Just curious? I'm not sure how it's "supposed" to be. I have no frame of reference. This is my first enail so I have no idea what's going on really. It's a shit ton better than torch and nail, that's all I'll say.

reversing it doesn't seem like it would work... maybe two holes 30 and 330? right next to each other and then one at 0 degrees on the other side.... maybe?

the idea is to place the two holes where the dab settles and that would push the dab outwards and around to the other side....

you could almost control the flow of the dab by carbing each side at different times. making a static carbcap that doesn't need to move.

It might though... I don't know... you're trying to create a vortex or something fancy like a turbine.

one hole it is.

there's so much vacuum I believe the entire rig can be lifted by the carb cap.

I'll be glad to add a 2nd hole later for free (you pay shipping) offer expires 10-1-17.

The showercap and loli cap are machined from 316 stainless the dabbers are titanium.

I'd suggest using a torch to change the color of titanium instead of using the enail.

there's much more testing that needs to be done.

Spinning the oil is not a necessary function of doing a dab. You can easily demonstrate this yourself by using a mason jar or similar as a carb cap, which has no air holes at all.

The point of a carb cap is to create restriction which forms a convective environment. Too much airflow and you're just cooling down the nail, the opposite of what you want.

and the act of spinning a carb cap?

I never mentioned the size of holes... all the holes could all equal the same size as one.

I'm just going to guess but having the oil move shuffles vapor out at a faster rate than boiling...

Helps distribute the oil all over the surface of the nail. Full utilization of the surface area is optimal for taste, effects, etc.

Anyway, thanks a bunch @NewVape710 - I'm sure 1hole will be fine for me. If you did do the second hole, the reverse angle I think would make sense, but I don't know for sure. Everything seems to be fine with just 1 on the lollicap for me...

I set my enail at 925 for around 20minutes or so to get the coloring. I don't plan on torching anything, or heating my coil up past usage temperatures anymore though. The coil cover is nice as is. I was just having a little FP-induced fun. :)

Cheers

Have you considered making a hollow tube with slots up top in the center of the carb cap to, and making the air flow come from a single or dual channel angled that moves the dab and utilizes the heat from the showerhead? It will get messy, but atleast the air flow actually manipulates the oil rather than grazing it... or something...

Or adding a cone above the showheads holes to avoid splash back and promote better usage of air coming from the carb cap?

so you insert it within, rather than ontop... and the channels are created by the showheads inner walls and the carb caps outerwalls and the air flow should make it move in circles.

-NV controller/NV 20mm barrel coil

The NV Showerhead is on one word..... NUTS!

I was perfecting my one draw complete extraction rips and without the NV Coil Cover 715F is where it's at. It blasted the complete hell out of the Flowers!

The flavor was great all the way until there was no more flavor. Then... guess what nothing, yes nothing no burnt taste or smells to be had.

It vaporized the flower so well in one hit that it instantly blasted my newly cleaned glass with reclaim. I nice dark amber spot of gooyness had been formed right below the stubby bowl in the female joint. I was impressed!

The only draw restriction here is how much water you decide to add into your piece, what piece you choose to use and how light or dense you pack the bowl. So in short... It's got zero restriction as far as I'm concerned.

The ABV was such a nice deep, dark brown. It was not charred or burnt in any way. It was just toast! Definitely no stirring needed with the FP SH.

I'd say It's at the edge of the combustion cliff at 715F. Especially when using a long, slow draw technique. No further pushing here is needed for me.

In my next post I'll be commenting on the differences if any at all when using the FP Showerhead with the Coil Cover.

Oh... and obviously the milk speaks for itself.:rockon:

My exact experience but with the coil cover! The shower head is nuts for flower extraction!! I thought the original design was bomb af and beyond anything else I had tried but the shower head takes it to another level! Such a beast!!

In torch+banger dabbing, this is a technique where you also heat the bubble cap a little bit before taking your dab. This way the nail and cap are closer in temp and it holds it better.

You can apply this technique here before a dab too. Just set your carbcap on the FP or what ever you're dabbing on or wanting to cap before you actually start the whole process. No torch needed.

one hole or two?
ONE, ONE OR ONE hole! :goon::tup: I refuse to comment on two.:rockon:

Amen to that exactly. I'm headed to coil cover land now. I hope to make it back in one piece. :science::freak:

Almost there...
Day two of vacation and day two of home renovations!
Selling up and moving to a calmer, slower area...

The FP was turned on this morning around 8am and is being turned off around 10:30pm.
It has rocked the milk bar all day long, with no issues at all!
Looking for that always on, only a log vape can do that... LOL!!! Not anymore are they alone!
The FP rules with ease of use!!!

Started off with Blackberry Sativa for the Am and Blue God Indica for the afternoon.
Ending off with some great Greasy Pink!

The Showerhead really has me interested!! Hopefully once we move and settle in again!
Love how the thread has taken on this amazing life of it's own with real time development!!!

I know it was stated before that "a lot of people leave their enails on 24/7" but just wondering if anyone actually does it.

I'm ordering the aluminum base (which according to @NewVape710 is the most stable way to hold it) and ideally would just like to leave it on 24/7. Have you guys left a test unit on for some amount of time or anything?

I mean the heatup time isn't bad at all... but still. I've never been one for patience.

@lazylathe But me likes that double weave action and it's all natural solid roots. No horses or ratchets were harmed in the making of this weave. I've got them myself. I just feel for @emmdeemo is all.

Errlectric even sent me a sticker with my two very lovely screens. It's really nice actually.

That other from another undisclosed co. I'll not mention that I ordered from and spent far more at gave me the stiffy on the sticker game n im not talking a good one here either.

Mines been on for 3 days strait. No issues and no worries.

@steama I think you'll find all of this interesting.

-705F
-20mm NewVape Showerhead w/Coil Cover
-NV Controller and 20mm Barrel Coil

Let me just say this, 715F without the coil cover is not the same 715F with the coil cover.

I've been testing the differences between the 20mm Showerhead with and without the Coil Cover over the past couple of days.

First off I started at the same 715F as I did previously without the Coil Cover. At 715F I got combustion very quickly. The coil cover retains heat very well and increases the overall heating efficiency of the Showerhead substantially from my testing.

I dropped the temperature to 705F and this is the maximum that I would suggest for flowers when using the Showerhead with the Coil Cover. Anything higher and you'll easily be up in smoke with a long slow draw.

I did notice a little added heat to the vapor when compared to my draws without the Coil Cover. This wasn't a surprise to me though because of the added heat retention. Overall the draw was still comfortable and tasty though.

Nothing was changed here. The water level, grind and load size were all identical. Again the SH had zero draw restriction and a 100% punch to the lungs. Perfect!

Just watch how easily and dense it milks the flower up with the Coil Cover. It seemed to also get milking a few seconds faster with the Coil Cover added. Another plus in my book.

I also noticed the cool down takes a bit longer but there is a lot more of that beautiful Ti that needs to shed the heat so that makes sense.

The Showerhead and coil cover are a perfect combination. I'm guessing the Coil Cover will allow everyone to really push the limits of low temperature flower sessions.

With or without the Coil cover the Showerhead is tops when it comes to fantastic flower sessions. No other vaporizer has even come close to touching what this thing does with flowers. Simply put be prepared to blast off!

While I was at it all and floating about I figured while I'm here......fuck it! I took my first double dipsee too....ooh myyyyy twas that twaxed out rip lovely and oh so potent. I'm in love with the FP.:luv:

Look's great , another new option for the micro doser's or even for a larger bowl. I personally have no problems with my screen coming out but nice option for any one having issues.

And I was juuuust about to put a bead of locktite on my handle because it seems to loosen itself with the heating and cooling.
